When I have the money to buy the clanner dlc I'd love to update the mod to it! Might even spend the time redoing all the portraits and MAYBE finally getting to blender work but that is a stretch goal for sure.

There is little to none art to cover 346 images of pony and futuristic armor. Let alone fit a common theme amongst all of them. We have to be realistic here. We have all been granted many different tools here to use for free and open source at that. Everyone has had so many possibilities open up for them instead of it being gobbled up by companies monitizing it only. I appriciate the compliment but this AI hate is unreasonable. If someone were to collect a reasonable amount of images that I could not find anywhere or the mod gets enough fan drawn images I'd happily switch over to them.

Bruh, it's not a matter of having money to pay for artists, or even having the time to draw the art yourself. It's a matter of doing what every mod did way before AI art was even a thing: Finding art and asking permission to use it.

I just personally prefer not to use AI gen'd art.

The reason I asked in the first place was because I'd like to see the artist's galleries if applicable. This is still a good mod, even if I do find it disappointing that it's AI gen'd. It's easy to tell with some of the ponies. Robotic legs but normal hooves and vice versa.

In regards to using the mane six as placeholder models, there's only Fahad, Ryana and a couple of security people about the Leopard, a single pilot when entering orbit of a planet and a few random people when at the Cantina missions listing (that's all the "static" ones i have seen) so using the mane six for that would work.

Actually a really good idea... It's a crying shame I can barely create a pony right now XD. I'm considering using already made free models of the mane six as placeholders until I can finish some of these models and at least it would give me rigging experience in unreal. However I feel like it would be just as immersion breaking seeing the mane six as it would be to see people.

This is going to sound silly but seeing as you're going to eventually be replacing the human models with pony ones i think Fahad shouldn't be a pony but rather Cranky doodle Donkey given how much he complains...

That's pretty odd and I can't say anyone in my friend group has experienced that but just having a fallback for just the portraits and no model changes has been on my mind. I'll see about uploading it tomorrow.

Could I make a request for a separate version of this mod that returns it to being a pure portrait replacer? I was using this mod in my mod pack just fine before the model removal update but since the update there something really funky going on the loading backend of things that causes huge frame drops after just having the game open for 10 mins or so. I love the mod and want to use it instead of my old (no longer updated) portrait replacer. Much appreciated if you can make the version, but if not, love the mod anyways!

Good question. Since it isn't just a portrait mod anymore and changes 3d models and hangar stuff I'm not too sure. Might get a friend to test it out. Usually though I've gone off what the community usually says and making sure everyone has the same mods in the same order to prevent "possible" crashing.

Is this mod a client side mod or would I have to get my friends to install it to use it?

Its the pre mission part where you select money salvage etc. It only seems to affect campaign missions. I know the kestrel lancer portrait was messed up for the Davion guy. It was like it was blown up to 150%.

So there is an issue with the mission portraits being to large. They push the text for the mission off the screen to the right.

Finished the week long progress of replacing all pilot overhaul pilots too. Man that took forever. Come nab it. Models will be what I will be adding next to this base mod such as replacing Ryana and the guards that stand around.

Heyoo, if you use vonBiomes be sure to nab that pony override mod for that too!
