@Pandora That's because Vermintide adds several custom torches while Arduous only uses one. Best fix for that is to go to the Vermintide mod workshop page, in the main mod description there's a link to replace the green torch with the regular one, add that to the load order just above the vermintide mod to remove the green one, then arduous will add the grey one back when it loads.

@Exaelus got the mods shown as in load order but somehow the vermintide torch takes priority over the arduous one even tho vermintide is below, any way to fix that? i prefer the grey ish torch

I know its been a while but the potions from Exaelus' Arduous Edition Mod seemed to be a glitch from that mod, after notifying the creator and them finding themselves they fixed it

So it sounds like there's some sort of compatibility issue between the old mountain dungeon (This one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2279458041 ? ) and all the dungeons required from this mod? I downloaded that mod and couldn't immediately see any conflicts, but if it's not that one then maybe that's why. But I don't really play DD now as it is, and do the bare minimum to just keep this mod working when any of the required mods updates, so I don't have the time to try and add another mod in, I'm afraid.

Strange, start a save with only these mods, fine; add to save with all the mods but without most of dungeon mod but with the old mountain dungeon, fine; combine them all, crash, and without an error report hints what mod cause it

Ok, I just pushed out a possible fix, I don't have the district so can't test it myself right now, so please let me know if this actually works. I don't think it should, but figured I'd try.

Ah, so they come from a district building? Thanks, that definitely helps, and I'll double check over any changes I've made to the provisions screen, though I'm pretty sure they should be mirroring what Arduous does.

And for reference, do you have any other mods higher than mine in the load order, just in case it's one of them that's reverting any changes.

I remember now, the potions would have come from the "Arduous hall"
it brews special potions and takes 5% of your gold reserve every week

Do you know what the potions it would have rewarded are? I've not played DD lately, but looking through I don't think I can see anything from my code that would have caused this, but I don't deny that I might be the issue as well.

I just saw from your comment on the main mod thread that you also have his provision expansion mod installed. Could you confirm where in you mod load order you have that mod, relative to this mod and the main arduous edition mod?

yes, the mission would have given me 3 potions with the heirlooms and gold as a reward but when I checked the provision screen it wasn't there.

@JP Sorry, could you provide more details? Do you mean you were doing the Herald custom boss fight that's based on the Harbinger hero class? And it wasn't giving the drops it should have?

I think their is a bug with the potions from Arduous edition, I did the fight with the harbinger and the a mission to collect construction supplies and they gave potions and they aren't in my supply items

@ActuallGatbage I'm not sure it's that simple because the Farmstead Plus mod already has Lv2 & 4 quest icons for some of their other quests, just not the one that was crashing for you specifically, so it already has some level of support for them. Something's just causing it to generate the cleanse quest at those levels.

@ActualGarbage I've made some terrible icons which should stop the game crashing when it tries to load those missing icons. I'm not too sure what will happen if you try to run one of those quests, or what's generating them. For now I would advise ignoring them if they do generate (You should be able to tell which they are from my terrible icon attempts), or at the very least have a backup of your save before running them. Though if you do try this, let me know if they do work fine, it's been a while since I really played DD so don't have much time to test.

I'm just looking into that now. It's weird because I didn't have to do too much compatibility stuff to get Farmstead working, but going by the error you're getting, something is trying to make it spawn quests at the even levels instead of the normal 1/3/5. Weirdly the other quests besides the explore farm already seem to have the icons set up, so I'm not sure if it's an issue with something Arduous is doing in the code that's then causing the game to generate quests at those difficulties or what.

This might take some time to troubleshoot, so I'm just going to shove out a patch that includes quest icons for the missing ones, though I suggest backing up your save before trying to play with this just in case it's also not generating the quest itself properly and it may break your save. But if it works then it will at least let you continue your game while I try to figure out the actual reason.

Yeah no probs i also used this without sunward just the vermintide mod and everything's fine. Guessing the patches just don't apply to anything if there's no mod to target :steamthumbsup:

Honestly, it might be worth making a backup of your save and just testing it. I just checked through the files and I'm 99% sure that the compat changes I made won't crash anything if you don't have vermintide or sunward. The only minor change will be the map graphic showing the vermintide dungeon, but it won't be interactable and no quests will appear on it, so besides that it shouldn't be noticeable. But again, if you have a long campaign going then I'd advice a backup before adding the plus mods in anyway just in case.

@Iviv I am kinda deep into campaign and wanted just add flavour since those 2 can be used in old saves as long,my heroes venture in vanillia spaces

@Pete how do you mean? If you mean just for those two mods then I don't think you need a patch since they should play together fine. Arduous Edition is the main reason you need a compatibility mod since that overhauls so much.
If you meant you wanted just arduous plus farmstead & cy+ then I think you may still just be able to use this. I would recommend a new save just to be safe, but glancing through the files I don't think it would cause issues running without the other dungeons (Maybe some minor UI issues). I wouldn't trust doing that without using a new save just to be safe though.

Just put out an update to port in the recent Farmstead Plus monster changes. These should work fine but there's a chance there may be some crashes when fighting cocoons or plowhorses. Let me know if this is the case, as I've not been able to play much recently.

@Silas to be clear, enemies added by other mods such as sunward shouldn't be getting any random buffs. Those would all have to be added manually, and while it's definitely possible, I simply don't have the game skill to balance them properly so I haven't tried. Any base game enemies that do appear in these areas (though IIRC this will only apply to the Courtyard Plus) will still carry over the Exalus buffs.

@TannerA It's extremely unlikely, mostly because I know I wouldn't be able to balance them well. Especially seeing all the tweaks Exaelus has to do to try and get things balanced, it's just not something I have enough in-depth or late game knowledge to do. If someone else wants to do it then I'd be happy to incorporate it into this pack with credit etc.

While I think it should work fine, I probably wouldn't risk it. Most of the changes from Arduous currently only apply to monsters from Farmstead and Courtyard so there's nothing that really impacts those other mods, the dungeon select screen is a little different to include those maps which may throw things off graphically, and while it was a while since I worked on integrating those mods, there may be the odd enemy from them that also spawns in normal dungeons, in which case not having them will crash the game if it tries to spawn one.

Im getting a no monster with brain class ID for the blood fountain when using the order above and
it straight up crashes my game which i sadly discovered by stepping in the courtyard, 98 week save lost is a harsh sentence

You look like you know much more about patching stuff then me , ive been doing a huge modpack over a while and you might help to sort out some last minor conflicts ? would be nice if you can give a hand , i would credit you in the collection if you do so , let me add you

Any error messages? And is this happening with just exaelus and nothing else? Or only when there's other dungeons installed?
