In addition to my post before:

This mod has the same problem and the author fixed it. It has something to do with colors:

PdguruRomansPlus 9/24 and Link to Version 4.4

First: Thanks for this awesome mod. I really love it.

Second: Massilian Thureos Spears, Hoblites and Cavallery are invisible. I switched all the mods I use off and on again one by one. This mod seems to be solely responsible, still I might be mistaken.

I beg you humbly to look into this possible conflict and that you provide your subscibers with a possible fix.
I mod myself (for my own) and I think that this problem will be easily resolved. Most likely just one wrong line somewhere.

Thank you for your support and a nice Xmas 2016.

you know what i think? i think you should make them the way YOU want them to be because you cant do what everyone says! And the units looks great!

I agree with @paladin Lord Isaaac. Praetorians wouldn't dress too differently from normal legionaires unless they were doing something formal or cerimonial. No one could afford to wear purple on campaign unless they were the Emporer or his small private body guard. Purple dye was very $$$

Maybe a special praetorian evocati or praetorian eagle unit, the praetorians protecting the emporer or triumvar (their horse body guard), praetorians in Rome/capital etc might wear purple but not normal praetorians

Praetorians originally protected individuals of the praetorian rank (a praetor or a praetor distiguished by the senate and the army called an imperator) which was an early Roman name for a general or high ranking magistrate

Great Mod. But the centurian looks so bad in the company of such awesome units
Jaki Sep 25, 2014 @ 8:09am
Praetorians wore red like the standard legionaire, They only got more fancy colors such as white when they were in Rome or while prtecting the Emperor.
The Black color was extremely expensive and making the purple color was so expensie that only royalty could afford it, after all making a bottle of purple took about 30.000 mollusk if not more to make, Im not trying to be mean or anything.

I like blue, black and purple praetorians i think they look bad ass, Im just saying that it isnt hisorically accurate.

@ Paladin Lord Isaac - Just like you see in my purpura custodes mod and this great mod here, the color purple was produced using mollusk and squid ink, and designed as a sign of connection to the senatorial service, as L'Empereur Napoleon stated.
Criss Cross Applesauce  [author] Sep 23, 2014 @ 1:14pm
@Paladin, it was actually the color of political authority. Anyone who wore purple had some connection the emperor or the senate. So it was not just the color of emperors.
Jaki Sep 23, 2014 @ 12:43pm
Purple was the color of Emperors, not praetorians...
ViKiNG Sep 23, 2014 @ 9:29am
L'Empereur Napoleon, thanks for the instructions. I'll try.
Criss Cross Applesauce  [author] Sep 23, 2014 @ 9:23am
@Marcus Crassus, you know if you made it that far, making your own mod is that far off.

If you want to make your own persoanl mod, here are the steps:

1) make your uniform you want in VE, "save definition and colors."
2) (if you want to change the colors, you must go to Database editor and enter in the codes for RGB, but this is not necessary if you don't want to chnage the colors.
3) Open BOB
4) go to middle column, and check the box that says "variants" or something like that. All the boxes should select anyways.
5) hit build pack
6) open rome II directory folder -->assemlby kit --> retail --> "mod.pack" is your mod.
7) copy "mod.pack" and paste it into the "data" folder.
8) start up rome ii, and under mods, you should see it called "mod.pack" (you can rename this or a add a picture later) check the box, and you are all set!

L'Empereur Napoleon, i think that vanilla shields looks good. I'm not sure that they should change.
For example:

v. leg: http://i.imgur.com/d30n0rB.png
f.cohort: http://i.imgur.com/pXYIa87.png
And may be you could also reskin vanilla marian centurions?
http://i.imgur.com/mmoF1Dv.jpg?1?2676
P.S. You could also do a quick reskin of legatus. Just take your praetorian cavalry skin and add them cloaks. You could change the plumes for praetorian cavalry to black and purple, and for legatus u could choose red and white colors.
P.P.S. sorry for my bad english
Criss Cross Applesauce  [author] Sep 22, 2014 @ 8:25pm
I think tomorrow I will change the plumes on the Praetorian Guard from red, purple and black to just black or just purple.
Criss Cross Applesauce  [author] Sep 22, 2014 @ 2:09pm
@Marcus Crassus, what kind of oval scutums? I can add the neckerchiefs. Maybe I will make another mod.
Criss Cross Applesauce  [author] Sep 22, 2014 @ 2:08pm
@yobi_uk, no stats change. Only graphical chnages. It should only be incompatible with mods that chnage the praetorian guard, praetorians, or praetorian cav appearance.
ViKiNG Sep 22, 2014 @ 1:52pm
L'Empereur Napoleon, it would be great to see legionnaires and veterans with coolus helmet without feathers and with vanilla oval scutums. Also would be great to see bracae and neckerchiefs for all marians melee units, such as Kaziel's Romans mod: http://imageshack.us/a/img547/5269/wz7s.jpg
yobi_uk Sep 22, 2014 @ 12:26pm
Apologies but could you perhaps provide more details in the description regarding this good looking mod, like what it changes or affects for the purpose of compatibility. Does it just change unit textures, or does it affect stats, unit cards etc?
Criss Cross Applesauce  [author] Sep 21, 2014 @ 5:01pm
@Marcus Crassus, would you want it to be exactly like the the photo? rectangular scutum shields and all? I thought Marian legionaries used oval scutums. If you want to see a cool mod which really adds to the coolus helmet, check out the "Coolus Helmet Cheek Guards Replacement" mod. Its very well done.
Revelation Sep 21, 2014 @ 2:39pm
Not historical huh? Got any evidance to support that claim? - And I love this totally historical mod :P
Criss Cross Applesauce  [author] Sep 21, 2014 @ 1:09pm
@lionel the Lion, yep, that's the one.
Sherman Sep 21, 2014 @ 9:44am
@L'Empereur Napoloen do you mean this carving? http://i.imgur.com/xz6bRpC.jpg

Because that's almost 2000 years old, around 1960ish years old to be exact. The stone carving , "Praetorian relief" is also shown in the Louvre in Paris. The third screenshot does show a similar resemblence to the carving, but hey, whose to say this isn't historical.
Cataph Sep 21, 2014 @ 4:13am
I don't want to weigh on anyone but I do agree with Leonardo. I don't doubt the ceremonial armour could have been extremely fashion but that's it, putting Triumvirii (read: Emperor-grade armour) muscle cuirasses on Praetorians on battle dress is not what I would define as "historical".
Of course you can make them as you wish, even with cataphract full plate and plumed corinthian helmets, there's quite a lot of mods doing stuff like that without pretending to be historical...
:)
ViKiNG Sep 21, 2014 @ 2:59am
Сan you do re-skin of vanilla marian legionaries, veteran legionaries & first cohort with bronze coolus helmet, please?

@LEONARDO, ok. well, i did the best I could. Not everyone can be happy I guess.
LEONARDO THE GREAT Sep 21, 2014 @ 2:09am
Dude, this is not historical. i do not mean to pick at it, but this is just a tweakasembly kit creation using general amour and helmets not even reskinned. . the cloak is the celtic version, i also see marc athonys amour .etc.. Just saying stay clear of the term histoical
