@Luck - Right now that's not possible for Caledor or Saphery, since we're prioritizing the vanilla playable factions of Imrik and Teclis respectively. People are welcome to make a submod allowing those factions to participate at Court.

@DocHolliday - This was a feature we explored, but it doesn't seem realistic to achieve script-wise. I suppose we can take it as the ruthlessness of elven politics... even your friends have their own interests to consider.

@TheFirstThunder - You bet, so glad you are enjoying it.
Luck Aug 20 @ 5:36am
when I use sappery(bellanor the wise) as player, is it possible to let me take the seat as Sappery in stead of teclis?
DocHolliday Aug 19 @ 8:02am
This mod is amazing! Got me interested in playing a High Elf campaign again. My only gripe is that factions you are favored by can still usurp your seats, it would be neat if that granted temporary invulnerability to that faction usurping you in return for whatever favor you did them. Regardless, very awesome mod!
TheFirstThunder Aug 12 @ 5:55am
Thanks for your response, @Alshua. I don't know why it was happening, but after disabling the GLF mod I mentioned, everything started working fine. It was also affecting another mod, "Convoys of the New World," in my campaign with Tyrion.

I really like what you guys did with this mod. It adds so much more flavor to the High Elves campaign. Thanks a lot for it.

@wookielover101 - So glad you enjoyed it. Stand by for the Imrik-only version, coming after the DLC.

@Migalouch - I'm going to try to support that map with the next major update, though we won't be spending a lot of development time troubleshooting it.

@TheFirstThunder - It's most likely the mod you mention has a script break, if what you've tested is correct (I haven't tested it myself and it's possible the GLF mod is fine). This isn't really an incompatibility; if there's a script break, it will cause a lot of problems, Phoenix Court not working is just an obvious one people notice right away. Check the FAQ thread on this page for more details.
TheFirstThunder Aug 11 @ 2:51am
Thanks @Migalouch. I've disabled [GLF] Hero Expansion金花英雄拓展 and the English translation mod and now it works. Can you added to the list of know conflicts?
Migalouch Aug 10 @ 8:15pm
@TheFirstThunder I know it doesn't work with the SFO Old World map mod.
TheFirstThunder Aug 10 @ 2:29pm
the mod doesn't seem to work for me. Any known conflicts?
wookieelover101 Aug 10 @ 2:18pm
I just found the 'Dragonheart' quest and I absolutely adored the attention to detail. Imrik is my boy and it was brilliant.

I wish I could see all the quest outcomes just so I could read more of it, honestly!
Migalouch Aug 9 @ 11:02pm
Any way to get this to work with the Old World mod map?
Alshua  [author] Aug 5 @ 10:20am
@Louie04k - I warned you there are quite a few variants. It's a treasure hunt. :GreatTreasureChest:

@knight - I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
knight Aug 5 @ 1:00am
Dear author, I hope to open or close the map view of trading friends. The fog of war is still necessary in the later stages of the game. Thank you again to the mod author.
Louie04k Aug 4 @ 2:09pm
it works for some of the things but for example taking a seat it still shows as the vanilla flag
Alshua  [author] Aug 4 @ 1:11am
@Zets - Oh yes, it's difficult.

A submod is fine, but to be clearer: I have a suspicion the DLC might create some pretty drastic changes in this mod. I wouldn't recommend (but also won't stop) you putting effort into adjusting numbers at this exact moment.

@Louie04k - No table is necessary, just name the mod with higher priority and put the same images in the same spot I did. Note that there are quite a few variants of the flags.
Louie04k Aug 3 @ 7:54am
hey guys i want to make a submod for Heraldry, Flags & Banners so it uses those flags in the court, which table would i edit for that?
Zets Aug 3 @ 7:23am
@Alshua Yeah I get it, it's a tight rope to walk. Though, if I were making it i'd switch up some of the effects and/or buff them. Is porting these kinds of mechanics to other races dificult? I've only done SFO submods before, but I have some ideas....

Would you be ok with a mod that tweaks these effects btw?

Thanks again for making this <3
Alshua  [author] Aug 1 @ 3:25pm
@RazorPanzer, Goldberg, Wohkey - Wonderful feedback, thank you all. Phoenix Court really strives to be DLC-level quality.

@Adan - I don't really intend to include that End Times lore about Malekith. I think the elves weren't always treated very well during that storyline. Thanks for your enthusiasm though.

@Oh_Man[TFE] - More of that is coming, though it might wait for the new High Elf DLC at this point.

@cansary - It's almost 100% certain that is unrelated to this mod.

@Zets - It's important to balance a mod like this around the fact that in the vanilla game, the player has NONE of these effects. Losing easy confederation is a significant downside that allows a lot of leeway, but the mod is not meant to make the High Elves overpowered. I do think some of the seats could use a little extra power (the Isha seat comes to mind), but at this point the DLC is certain to cause a large overhaul of this mod regardless.
Zets Aug 1 @ 5:19am
Thanks for the mod. Maybe its just me but most of the effects are very weak.
cansary Jul 31 @ 2:35pm
i am not sure if this mod is the casue but the HEF life wizard when gain A.Conduit skill will alway get stuck in the animation and be unable to move in battle. It can still use spells, abilities and when attacked in melee, it move again
Rhox  [author] Jul 29 @ 1:45am
AI-Man// No, problem isn't using too less mod, but using too much mod. Any script break is strong enough to broke another mod's

If you're using minimum amount of mods, but still see that bug post a script log in the Modding Den Discord's skeleton_crew
AI-Man Jul 29 @ 12:52am
question : does this mod require a mod that adds more faction mechanics icons like this one? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3255717059
i played with this mod alone and after a while the button to access the tower disappeared along with the grandeur resource on the top bar, not sure what happened as it was working perfectly fine for the first 20 turns or so
Oh_Man[TFE] Jul 27 @ 8:06pm
Respect addressing the imrik miao interaction
Adan Jul 22 @ 8:07pm
looks wonderful! Can the one true phoenix king Malekith join in the politics once he returns to save the donut from chaos?
Wokhey Jul 20 @ 9:54am
This is one of the best Mods I've ever installed. DLC level content. Thanks for the work.
Goldberg Jun 29 @ 2:26pm
Wouaw! This feature is just insane. Took from Dwarves one, but you've made it all... perfect. UI, balancing, arts, ... Thanks a lot !
RazorPanzer Jun 29 @ 9:56am
once i played your mod i was so amazed, now i treating it as original game features. to be frank it is even better than the Chaos Dwarf ones as the politics has more players politicking in it. I so love it I hope someone will do the same for other factions especially Skavens as well.
Alshua  [author] Jun 25 @ 5:48pm
@Quickpawmaud - Unfortunately, Saphery and Caledor do not participate in the Phoenix Court.

@cagatakaraca - It's likely it was one of your other mods that wasn't updated yet, and was causing issues with script.

@Louie04k - A high compliment, thank you.

@ObiKron25 - Yeah, I wouldn't.
ObiKron25 Jun 25 @ 4:40pm
Am I safe to assume this is not save game compatible?
Louie04k Jun 23 @ 6:45am
damn well done on this, feel like a mainline feature, better actually
cagataykaraca Jun 17 @ 10:43am
Hey, I just subscribed to the mod, but it doesn't seem to be working. Could it be due to the new patch 6.2 update? Even though the mod has been updated, I still can't get it to work.
Quickpawmaud Jun 13 @ 4:36am
What about Belannaer the Wise from Mixu? Does he work for Saphery too? I hate playing Teclis. he is so painful with his starting position.

(continued)
All faction-unique events also feature unique art, often featuring official art of your faction's homeland or leader. Some even feature a short voiceover from your Lord!

There are also lots of events that only appear for a GROUP of factions. A simple example is that one event involves your Lord interacting with Eltharion, so it does not appear if you are Eltharion. Others involve deciding a dispute between two different Kingdoms, so they do not appear if you are playing as one of those Kingdoms. This means you will have a slightly different pool of dilemmas no matter what faction you play.

Over time I'd like to continue to add faction-unique dilemmas to keep deepening the sense of immersion.
Alshua  [author] Jun 3 @ 12:28am
@Kusika - There is quite a bit of content that is faction-specific. When you have claimed a large number of seats, a dilemma unique to your faction will pop up, discussing its rise to power. Every single High Elf faction has unique text and effects for this, even minor colonies.

If you play as one of the Ten Kingdoms, you are able to claim your own Throne. This triggers a special dilemma where your Kingdom throws a festival celebrating its culture. Again, all text and effects are faction-unique.

If you claim all Thrones and Seats, you achieve total political victory. This event is also faction-unique.
Alshua  [author] Jun 3 @ 12:19am
@Theo Official, uwu - Yes, that's very likely. The next DLC looks likely to require a significant overhaul of this mod though, so we need to see how that goes before making other plans.

@Barstow - That's a good suggestion.

@GeeCeeJr, jude/bambo - Sorry, that was a bit of a phantom update for a technical reason, you won't notice any feature changes.

@Kusika - That's exactly the sort of experience I was shooting for, glad to hear it.
jude May 29 @ 6:10am
ty for update - cant wait to see what the HE dlc holds
Kusika May 28 @ 9:10am
Fantastic mod! Gives good campaign flavor without railroading you into a specific playstyle or making you overpowered. The confederations actually feel satisfying through this system and the events are quite fun.

Are there any faction-specific events? Like, stuff that would only appear if I played Eltharion, or Alith Anar?
GeeCeeJr May 28 @ 1:04am
What did the new update change?
May 27 @ 10:32pm
+1 for black court
Miraak's Rose May 16 @ 8:47am
AMAZING!!!! Thank you.
Barstow May 13 @ 5:53pm
As a fluff piece, Imrik is known as quite the talented singer. Will you be incorporating any of that as fluff? https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Dragonsong
Theo Official May 3 @ 8:45am
Hey, is there ever a chance that we'll get something like this for the Druchii? Like a Black Court? Thanks!

My intention with the dilemmas in this mod is to explore Asur culture and politics; in this case, the topic is the taboo against outside romance. Miao Ying presents an unprecedented exception that tests this rule, as a dragon in humanoid form, but we learn that even WITH this exception, it's almost impossible. Maybe it is impossible? I don't want to spoil the event series, but even the best ending has a mixture of fear and hope. In other endings, the rule wins again, even with a dragon.

Thus, you're not going to see an unambiguous happily-ever-after of Miao Ying joining the Asur in this mod. As I work on the Imrik-only version of the chain, it is being expanded and you'll get more content, and I do think you'll like it if you are rooting for Imrik. But in the nobledark world of this setting, you have to fight really hard for good things to happen, and there's a cost.

@The Mightiest Pocket Square - To be honest, I consider the mod 100% lore friendly. And like Warhammer Fantasy, sometimes that allows having fun! But while the Imrik/Miao Ying event chain is fun, my intention in writing it is to explore something I like about this setting, especially in its earlier editions: it (usually) honors its rules.

One such rule is that High Elves consider humans more like a different, lower species than a different race. Breaking a rule has a short term benefit: it's exciting, and everyone wants a human to get together with an elf. But maintaining the rule has a long term benefit: the setting becomes more real, and the rule can continue to influence stories.
Alshua  [author] May 3 @ 4:08am
@PEPEGA - If you use MCT, you can customize how much Grandeur you gain per turn. Prop Joe's console commands mod would work too.

@Mortarch of Blood - You know you are fighting the good fight against power creep when people release buff submods.

@Naiva Prism - Thank you! Great compliment.

@Augustus II - The seasons already are synched up with the art of the Tower, but I do sometimes play with ideas for seasonal political events and such.
PEPEGA May 1 @ 10:41am
is there to give yourself the items to unlock seats? with like a command?
Catboy Master Chief Apr 29 @ 8:18am
@alshua noted thank you anyway
Naiva Prism Apr 26 @ 11:55pm
This is a crazy mod, I'm so impressed at the quality of it. It's truly dlc quality, well done
Augustus II Apr 25 @ 6:23pm
You should think about implementing the seasons and holiday mod with this. Its such a great fleshed out seasonal mod with 12 months and holidays built in that it could mesh great with this awesome mod.
The Mightiest Pocket Square Apr 25 @ 3:25pm
Yeah, noticed that when I kept playing and a few of them triggers. A guide would probably be a cool idea, I'd assume anyone looking at one would (hopefully) be aware that there are spoilers. TBH I was only going to ask/suggest secret options for the paths based on which elf you're playing which could allow you to gain a cross faction legendary lord. For example, if you were playing Imrik and got the good ending for that chain, Miao Ying gives her land to another Cathyan and joins his faction. Would she ever do that in lore? Almost certainly not. But would it be a fun twist for her to choose love over duty in a mod which isn't 100% lore friendly anyway? I think so.
