I kind of feel like you absolutely gutted the Flairon, it doesn't feel very good to use now, and the bubbles are way too inconsistent with it. Also, no solar fragment flare or solar eruption rework, so it is a proper flail?

如果你还愿意更新这个模组的话,可不可以提高一下蓄力后的伤害倍率和蓄力速度,现在这个数值还是不够看,想让玩家蓄力的话就得让伤害对得起蓄力时间啊。。。

is it compatible with calamity, i use Calamity/Thorium(Compatibility mods) and would be nice if there was a Unofficial Calamity Flail mod unlike the whip one heard it too strong

数值有问题,而且问提很大,使用本mod的猪鲨链球(已使用本mod饰品)打boss平均dps只有不到800(其实是600多)

I love the path you're taking with alternative melee weapons. I still use the spear rework too, and it feels good to have a more unique reason to use the different melee types. :steamhappy:

This mod seems to prevent resource packs from modifying the projectile sprite of flails such as The Meatball. There might be a simple solution, but I'm unsure how I can get a resource pack's sprites for the flail projectile to override this mod.

For a flail to be compatible with the mod, it has to be made following the ExampleMod flail template (so my mod tweaks the right variables in the flail code) and I have to manually flag it as a flail. This is the case for Thorium Mod flails

For a spear to be compatible with the mod, it has to be properly flagged as a spear (ItemID.Sets.Spears[Item.type] == true;). weakpoints are calculated based on player position, and have nothing to do with the way the weapon itself works

I meant like, do they have to SPICIFICALLY be flails and spears in a terraria sense? or can they be similar to spears or flails. cause mods like secrets of shadows have spears and the odd flail but they react a lot differently to actual spears (spear go out, spear go in semi slowly. vs a quick smoother stab etc, or Aten flail which charges up orbs and doesn't have a secondary trigger to make the flail fall). so I'm not sure what I should and shouldn't collate and if you can actually work them into the mods.

All you say in this one is it has to be case by case basis, but not neccessarily what can and should be implemented.
The spear one just seems to assume anything that works like a vanilla spear will work, but not sure if you can case by case that too for things that look-like they could be spears too...

Curiosity: How does cross compatibility work out with this and the spear mod?
In the name of progress, I'd be willing to check out Thorium, spirit, Secret of shadows, calamity+addons, fargos, artificer weapons, stars above and probably several others which could possibly be given the treatment of your reworks if you have the time.

Could there maybe a starter flail or add [Mace] recipe. I tried to find my first flail for 3 hours due to bad RNG and chest generation. The exciting feeling of wanting to try out a fresh install mod kinda dissipate, feeling not worth it when I got my hand on one.

it certainly won't catch everything, but it should detect a decent amount of flails, and certainly more than only using manually implemented compatibility

While there are likely many modded flails for which this won't work, vanilla flails and some modded flails use ai style 15 (ProjAIStyleID.Flail), checking if a projectile uses that should let you detect some flails automatically
