Don’t worry, because for mods in the ‘API category’ like this, unless the game has a huge change that affects its functionality and causes problems, they really don’t know what to update, because everything working fine. And if there was a problem, there should have been a lot of player feedback, but in fact, so far, everything is fine. (PS: There is an older mod “Item Tweaker API” from 2015, but it still works fine.)
So, don’t worry too much about whether to update or not, but whether they still work properly. 😄

I'm not worried about performance but about the fact that those three required mods haven't been updated in over two years...
M.S.Referee  [author] Feb 16, 2024 @ 6:47am
It's necessary because these three mods are associated with necessary functionality. (Mod Manager for supports displaying other mods names and descriptions in multiple languages. Profession Framework is a necessary support for the 24 new professions brought by this mod.)
If it's unnecessary, I won't put in 'necessary', such as 'Eris Minimap'. In fact, I have hidden a big 'Easter egg' for this mod, but if no subscribe to it, and just there is no way to experience the 'Easter Egg'.

If you are worried about whether it will affect performance, don't worry, even if you subscribe to all the mods in the "Lazy Pack of PZ Mods" collection I created, it will don't affect performance too much. Because so far, they are 731 mods I have been using when playing in 4K full screen on my test computer (I specially found an old laptop from 10 years ago for testing), I can play smoothly with limited frames to 24.
PaulKrawitz Feb 15, 2024 @ 9:52pm
Are those three "required" mods mandatory?

Because I'd rather not subscribe to them.

Ok, thank you and have a safe trip.

I will test the mod and see what it does once I'm home from work.

Roughly four hours until I'm free.

Yes, but I believe text visibility is not comparable. Moreover, this mod can display text in all languages in any language at the same time, which is something that the base game cannot do.

This is like a server that is open to players with different languages around the world. In the base game, when a player typing in a language different from yours appears (This situation mostly occurs when ‘non-alphabetic languages’ cannot be displayed on alphabetic languages.), you cannot see these texts. Even if players uses their language for their character name you will also not be able to see. But this mod can.

Another function is 'Mod Arrangement'. There will be problems with mods. In fact, sometimes the order is wrong, so this mod adds 7 guide categories. Now you only need to put the mod under them. This will complete the sequence arrangement of the mods.

But the fonts and certain parts of the UI can already be scaled, even without this mod...

I have to test it to see what exactly the difference is.

Thank you very much for reminding me of this, so I am making a picture and will put it on the first.

This is one of the cores of this mod. If you want to display the corresponding text normally at the corresponding resolution, you need to set this option.
PaulKrawitz Feb 15, 2024 @ 12:01pm
The "Font" setting in the menu, I'm not sure where exactly but you can't miss it.

With these settings one can increase or decrease the font size, similar to what your mod is doing; which is why I asked what the difference is between that setting and this mod. 🙂
M.S.Referee  [author] Feb 15, 2024 @ 11:48am
Which in-game option? Please tell me the definite option name, thank you.
PaulKrawitz Feb 15, 2024 @ 11:14am
Hm, there's an ingame option to change the size of the UI; what's the difference between this mod and that option?
M.S.Referee  [author] Feb 15, 2024 @ 11:09am
To PaulKrawitz

If want to change these, it is equivalent to redoing all the 'icons' and 'pictures' and will affacted low resolution because the size of them is fixed. To describe it in terms of code, the official used this "hard method" when doing it, so it became quite time-consuming to make changes. If you want to change the entire architecture, I think this should be done by the official, rather than being done by a player in the form of a mod, because this already involves changing the ‘core architecture’. 😃
PaulKrawitz Feb 15, 2024 @ 10:57am
@M.S.Referee - So it does not scale the icons and watch, only the text?
M.S.Referee  [author] Feb 15, 2024 @ 10:52am
To PaulKrawitz

About moodle icon, in fact, it is left to the corresponding modules to avoid conflicts, such as
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3008416736

Regarding digital watch, it is actually limited to a picture, and the size of the picture determines the size of the characters. If change this image, it will become very large at a lowl resolution, so in the end it can only keep the game default. :)
PaulKrawitz Feb 14, 2024 @ 11:12am
Jusging by the last screenshot it doesn't seem to scale the rest of the UI though.

Mainly the moodle icons and the digital watch.
