Will be revisiting this and adding to it over time. Also just released the thrall Croms guard "station". Adds a sort of hard speed bump for offline raiders, or tilts the favor in the defending clans way. Powerful guards that last 2 days or until killed.

Just uploaded the first testable Thrall guard station. It is to test the AI. I will increase health etc once i know it will work. The design for that is to make non follower offline protectors mainly.

I like the idea of the gas arrows being moved to the hut as well. And yes, bomb making can only be done in the hut. The idea is to show players who are crafting bombs. Plus make it harder to carry the mats for 1000 bombs on oneself for wiping while raiding. The most one player can carry is 200, and they will have to be enc build to do it.

it takes it out of your inventory so i believe to raid you have to set up the hut to craft bombs

Does this change the way that explosives are crafted then? We have this mod on the server I am playing on and no one can figure out how to make explosive jars out side of the hut.

id like to see gas arrows added if nothing else, explosive arrows are used to harvest star metal but if you put those gas arrows in the hut just maybe cause its the combo of those two arrows that makes raiding far easier then jars , the arrow combo does 3000 damage and when two players just start firing them off in tandem it gets ugly.

@mopsyd , what if a clan could place a flag that blocked repairing in s radius of it. IT would then be a pvp point for the defenders to destroy it so they could repair? I am a novice to mid moddder, but i have a high learning threshold. I have taught myself app script, vba, orackle SQL wuery writing just thru using google for my rl job. So digging and figuring out how to add a Raid Flag of sorts would be fun.

@ghostinashell , so should i add explosive arrows to the decay and crafting station? I have been back and forth. I feel Arrow raiding is a little harder than spamming jars.

I agree, repairing during raid can be an issue. But one step at a time. IT is definitely something i will look into. Possibly making it so you can't repair at all. But then people would just "upgrade", which is more expensive, but still a loop hole of sorts. One thing i am looking into is more of an area control type pvp. I will be changing the build zones, allowing walling off etc. Mainly 2 walls thick type perimeters around the major cities, and new areas i will be adding to the map. And adding materials caches in those areas. Kind of, certain areas will have more star metal, others, steel fire, etc. The game has more than enough pve grinding servers. I want to make more pvp and "castle" defense be the focus, not who can farm 10 hours a day be the "alpha".

DP jars are not so much an issue now as far as two players tag teaming explosive and gas arrows like a machine gun, i had two blow through my base in a matter of minutes. The damage from arrows is just insane.

Good effort on the explosives issue, but the underlying problem that led the PvP meta to lean so heavily on them is the issue of someone camping in their base with a construction hammer. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to create a system that bars repairs for a 30 min window after any attack on the claim structure to balance it out. If we want to have balanced PvP then some level of addressing both the attack and defend side of the issue will be needed, otherwise it's just pushing the scale in one direction or the other without fixing the underlying problems.

It is nice to see some PvP oriented mods coming down the pipe though.

Made a few changes. Also, let me know of any bugs you are running across if you test it out. For full disclosure, I am working on the "pillars" to a better pvp raid experience. The explosive were priority one. the next one will be wrapped around guard thralls for bases. These will not be followers, but actual base only guards. It will be based on the mercenary banners and pet pens. My goal is to create a prisoners of war quest system that will allow you to free and train them to be tank-y full time permanent guards at your base. Gone will be the days of easy off lining a well fortified base with high level guards. These will be Heirs of War--Loyal Guards.
