I can hear it in my hangar, contract screen, deployment screen, in mission, and on the main menu.

No, ai will only fly vertically upward. This can sometimes bug missions if you do not kill the vtol fast enough because it will fly to the stratosphere
(any chance of a Laser version. id love to be beam drone.)

Overall, despite being in early Alpha, mod is great.
hard to aim ballistics and not very compatible with advanced zoom
and missiles don't show / operable
they wont appear visually or as an option to fire in game though you can still change their weapon groups in the menu
At this point, I think it's just an unfortunate, yet tolerable, side-effect brought about by the necessary witchcraft needed to code/simulate "flying"
That mod adjusts gravity by 50% which may have unintended effects on whatever modifier this person is using. But Yea I run this mod with TTAI at the same time... and with larger engines I was going very fast and can confirm what Knight is saying.
Might be a code limitation however, and this is how he made this witchcraft work
1. Overheating the VTOL will cause the ship to sink and crash into the ground, resulting in a game over.
2. The ship is stupidly fast, even with cheap 100 engine, the ship can literally go mach 8. Even with first person mode and throttle decay on, this does make accurate shots and hovering very difficult, especially when the lowest speed I can reach is 250kmh.
3. Third person does put the camera somewhere far below the rendered map floor, I can understand this because of the sheer black magic involved.
4. I don't know if this is caused by other mods but ballistic recoil is uber strong in the VTOL. Even machine guns kick like mules
Lastly, will there be, by any chance of a energy hardpointed VTOL?
Fucking brilliant mod, 10/10 would red baron the shit out of the enemy again.
Being able to use a 060 engine is kind of busted. Idk if engines were fixed, but if they were, it would dramatically limit silly builds
Yeah,the vehicle-factor is sadly missing in this game. But this looks great.
