homing will attempt to curve towards the piece nearest to your king so it can have some wack angles(if the piece is next to you and you shoot in the opposite direction it will try to curve backwards for example)

also, heartpiercer seems to have a bug where no matter what, it always veers to the pawn on the furthest to the left? maybe the homing is just excessively strong

I didn't have an idea for that at the time I wrote that comment, now I'm thinking it'd probably be simpler to keep it as a cosmetic change of some kind
maybe the Black King's sprite gets a little captain's hat, maybe hook hits play Limbus clash sounds for the rest of that run, I don't know

to my defense there's 50 guns so it's hard to have them all made equal ^ ^''

some are simply stronger early, some are simply stronger later, some are weak or broken at all ranks

tho if you could share what you feel makes the collector feel so weak in terms of general balance or weaker traits i could work to adjust that and make it more reasonable

also i didn't engineer the ai so i don't think i can help much there

Play and familiarize yourself with the royal enforcer shotgun, one of the more OP gun in the mod ..

And no I'm not asking to nerf it :-P

Since Rank 25+, the difficulty is fundamentally broken. The White AI is excessively disproportionate:

Engineered Movement: Pawns move strategically to clear optimal paths, making the AI scripted for maximum threat.

Forced Checkmate: If long-range pieces (Queen/Rook) are not one-shot, an immediate, inescapable Checkmate threat follows.

Perfect Defense: Pieces move to establish flawless, layered defense (e.g., Bishop step behide a Rook when king ready to shot nearby it).

This is a critical design failure. I attempted Floor 1 with the Guiled Collector 30-40 times, and I am forced to Resign repeatedly. I cannot pass the first floor with this gun at Rank 31.

The few successful runs (3/40) were due to pure luck—the King randomly moved into a vulnerable spot. I am compelled to spam attempts until I get a lucky starting board.

Challenge must be based on skill and tactics, not on extreme reliance on chance. The AI's 'perfect' movements should not be determined by pure luck."

Hey. First of all, great mod, love your work.
Second, I noticed some of the gun unlock methods in the pinned discussion post (SGK Extra - General Info/Self Help) were out of date last time I checked them - one that stood out to me was the post saying "Outis" still needed a five-turn pawn disguise to unlock when in the version I'm currently playing it instead required a specific card combo.
I've unlocked too many of the guns to go through their requirements and see what else is missing, but is there any chance one of you could update that post at some point?

it was a moat card that you can click to make it at the top-half of the board or the bottom-half of the board

hellmare will appear if you have -10 absolution and her ability will start reducing your ammo every 10 turns, as for the water she's not intended to appear specifically because of that bug so ill have to look into how she spawned anyway

Yeah, that seems to be the case. Finally found Feast and Famine. I think it's the increased number of cards, plus all the cards that either directly counter rats, or give pieces more hp

Maybe. It's the art without context of the piece that inspired it that was the problem. I think people would be less likely to read it the way I did with the name drag queen, as drag is campy and drag is a thing you do instead of a thing you are.

im sorry that particular art made the experience sour but know it was not done with ill intent, one patch i changed the art for most queen arts to somewhat resemble homecoming and the bishop one was inspired by this particular fanart:

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't intentional, but replacing Drag Queen with Genderqueer and then making the art a queen with googly eyes and a frownyface made me feel like I was just randomly catching strays. If you where trying to come of as vaguely transphobic, I guess that's your prerogative, but it's kinda soured me on the mod. Which sucks, I tried to ignore it, I was having fun.
