For those wondering, there is an alternative in the GitHub of taranchuk, it's called Startup profiler https://github.com/Taranchuk/StartupProfiler

SiaNKs, you need to press the button manually, its not automatic....

1.6?
SiaNKs Jul 10 @ 7:28am
Yup, ive tried this mod with smaller mod pack, around 150 mods and still nothing shows up after launch
SiaNKs Jun 26 @ 9:01am
Sadly mod does NOT work, after whole game load's up, nothing shows up except usual Rim Log, and yes I've this Mod under core. If theres a specific funtion to turn it on or button that's not given in description then please add it there.
Michael  [author] May 7 @ 8:28pm
keep in mind this game is single-core, So its just always bound to be an un-optimized mess.

thank god you continued this mod. solved my HUGEST issue ever. bouta year ago when i had 32 gigs of ram, noticed rimworld was EATING IT, never figured out why. so i got more ram, continued to play, then stumbled onto a reddit post about this issue, with a link to the original mod.

This mod found my biggest issue ever. Apparel organizer. after removing it, 44 gigs went to 10. also loaded in a few seconds compared to a minute. also, this mod itself tried to kill my PC. no joke dude, i watched my memory usage climb and climb up to a 95% before i finally killed it. game also froze and became totally unresponsive. it did however go away after unsubbing from the mod. so while it works, it does have a huge issue.
Michael  [author] Apr 16 @ 5:35am
yeah idk, I don't really use this mod anymore cause theres no point in doing so.
KingVoidPlasma Apr 14 @ 6:13pm
its not that accurate
it told me 32s to startup, and it took 18.
A pleasant surprise tho:steamhappy:
Mr Potato Mar 26 @ 5:37am
alrighty, thank you.
Michael  [author] Mar 25 @ 2:25am
Not a modder, I just took this from GitHub.
Mr Potato Mar 25 @ 12:03am
around 600 seconds is just not measured, i just want to know what it is seeing as its almost 2/3 of the loading time, please fix if at all possible
Michael  [author] Feb 25 @ 9:27am
Reading recent comments of said mod, You can see multiple people expressing the mod being unusable. Don't just subscribe to random mods just because it says "Better loading" or "Faster Rimworld"......
Michael  [author] Feb 25 @ 9:26am
@Kliff

BetterLoading is super buggy, broken & unusable. It can & will break your game & saves. Do not use it. It is on a 'Do not use' Google spreadsheet! [docs.google.com]
Kliff Feb 25 @ 5:49am
Black screen after loading game on almost no mods (only better loading, harmony and graphics+)
EddyNeave Jan 24 @ 4:22am
This mod doesn't seem accurate at all, 80% of my 100s of 130s startup time was "Not measured". It's okay to give a quick glimpse but it's pretty useless at actually telling you what's causing issues during startup. I'd recommend using verbose logging in the developer options instead
Sir Rolin Jan 11 @ 7:01am
@p20 hammerpoints, you can change which metric it uses in the mod options
@Ilunak, I have tried that and all the information I get is that "Main Thread" is taking a long time to load sometimes... it doesn't mention any mod.
llunak Dec 16, 2024 @ 9:42am
RimWorld actually has a built-in tool for finding out startup impact as a part of devmode, see https://www.reddit.com/r/RimWorld/comments/1hfczop/analysing_and_reducing_startup_time/ .

I had 1/3 of my partup time that this mod could not identify, and thanks to the built-in RimWorld functionality I easily found out what it was. So if this mod does not provide the information, I suggest using the devmode tool.
p20 hammerpoints Dec 12, 2024 @ 12:33pm
This mod doesn't really seem to measure the actual load time. It "accurately" measures the "mod" load times, had my own independent stopwatch that reflected that time in the process (the Better Loading mod), but that's about it and it's been that way for a while. I don't know what's going on with that. I know this is fork, and my criticisms go way back before this. Just putting this out there because I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong.
Michael  [author] Nov 12, 2024 @ 2:50am
I haven't used the mod in a while considering my load times are short. However mods like Combat Extended & Vanilla Expanded series take a long time to load due to their size of content.
Elynaih Nov 12, 2024 @ 1:20am
Thanks to both mod developer and mod editor. I just downloaded this mod, and as a result, I was able to clear some of the mods that were heavily charged. It takes about 734 seconds to load, and about 5/6 of them are "for reasons that are not directly related to the mod". Okay, let me work this out.... First of all, thank you.
Quilava Nov 7, 2024 @ 10:04pm
Look like this mod cant measure everything, the "not measure" part is the biggest one for everyone so far when im digging around. Some say SRTS, vanilla vehicle and SOS2 have a huge "not measure" time even tho it doesnt show on the mod it self cause ... it "not measure" lol. I tried and confirm tho mod indeed take lot more time to load

This mod still some what help, every time you install new mod, just remember the load time, if it increase a lot, then you know it the one causing trouble
nexsus312 Sep 26, 2024 @ 9:25am
All those who have a long launch, you can use RimPY or RimSort, which can convert textures to DDS format. The thing is that mods store textures in .png, which is very inefficient for large quantities, converting to .dds greatly reduces startup time. (In order for this to work properly you need Graphics Settings+) I play with 440~ mods that take up about 20gb of RAM. Startup takes 807 seconds. Also RocketMan helps a lot both in terms of game speed and startup.
Phantomz Sep 22, 2024 @ 3:50pm
2538 second load time is insane, christ. Maybe don't play with 417 mods...
Fp Aug 14, 2024 @ 9:34pm
use a ram disk lsdisk on sourceforge. keep in mind its just a fast temp folder so backup any files you need to keep
revolution Aug 10, 2024 @ 7:21pm
417mods,2538sec(42min) and not measured part takes 30min.what happened
my pc configuration: 3060,32ram,cpu5600
Is it due to the hard disk?my hard disk is not good
Michael  [author] Jul 25, 2024 @ 6:57pm
No idea. Sorry :(
slatsamer Jul 25, 2024 @ 7:42am
so what is the blue part? my startup time is 1000 seconds (16.6 minutes), blue part takes 750 seconds (12.5 min), so mod takes only 4 minutes
Michael  [author] Jul 17, 2024 @ 1:35am
Its a button on the main menu. It doesn't automatically open.
RaZoR Jul 16, 2024 @ 8:42am
not working. it doesn't show anything
Michael  [author] Jun 23, 2024 @ 8:10am
is the mod all the way ontop of load order
Avaricia Jun 21, 2024 @ 2:33pm
so what exactly is 'not measured' segment? in my modded game, and the provided example picture, it's the largest segment.
khagler Jun 3, 2024 @ 7:56pm
It turns out it's down to the OS. With 1.5 they broke something in the Mac version loading mods resulting in absurd loading times, but the Windows version loads at the same speed it always did.
Michael  [author] Jun 3, 2024 @ 11:11am
Whats your PC Specs? If you PC Can't handle loading stuff (e.g, Lacking in RAM) then that explains why you're having such load times.
khagler Jun 3, 2024 @ 11:00am
77. Disabling two of them (SRTS and SOS2) brought my load time down to "only" 40 minutes.
Michael  [author] Jun 3, 2024 @ 9:58am
how many mods do you have installed..
khagler Jun 3, 2024 @ 9:47am
That's what I was hoping this mod would tell me.
Michael  [author] Jun 3, 2024 @ 8:32am
how do you have a load time more of almost 1h30m :steamfacepalm:
khagler Jun 3, 2024 @ 8:00am
I put the mod at the top of the load order after Core, as directed. It's reporting a "not measured" time of 6127.5s. The absurdly long startup time has been there since 1.5, I was hoping to see what caused it.
Michael  [author] May 9, 2024 @ 2:13pm
modding games, especially rimworld increases loading time yeah. I personally don't go above 100 mods.
Deylendor May 9, 2024 @ 11:25am
As much as I could. Core, Harmony and Prepatcher are above it. StartupImpact works perfectly fine. The long startup is something I had to deal with since starting modding Rimworld. At least now I can measure it.
Michael  [author] May 9, 2024 @ 10:53am
did you put the mod at the top of your load order
Deylendor May 9, 2024 @ 9:51am
Startup time 304, nou measured 200. The F is happening
Proxyer Apr 16, 2024 @ 10:59am
Nice works!
Korvon Apr 16, 2024 @ 10:59am

@Michael

Hi, would you like to update it to 1.5? I've finished the work to update to 1.5. Do you have a GitHub account, or should I just send it to you via an online drive?
