Thanks to Dux, I found a really simple way to restore Throgg's modded voice.

It almost works perfectly. The only issue is the diplomacy subtitles no longer match the voice. I may attempt to fix this one day in 2026.

Maybe in the future I will make time to update the keys. For now I am focusing on finishing Victory Conditions Overhaul.

I will say, I still think this mod is better than the updated voice though it is an improvement.

Well then you wouldn't mind giving free reigns to anyone who would want to revitalize the mod. Since you have no interest in updating it and it's out of your hands?

The mod is non-functional. They changed all the keys. They also removed certain diplomacy lines like Wood Elf and other WH1 races, but added in a bunch of WH3 ones, which means even if I updated all the keys I would still need to write new lines and ask the voice actor back.

And since I am happy with the new voice I have no interest in doing that work.

Your mod brought Throgg fully to the books' direction, truly making him feel like the erudite and the anomaly in trollkind he is through his voicelines.

While CA's new voicelines and voicework are definitely an improvement, i still feel it keeps a foot in the old direction instead of fully embracing the character for what it is.

Why do you say that? I have been pleased with what I have heard so far.

This mod is undoubtedly better than what CA will be delivering.

Honestly I would still keep this up. Ca's is a improvement but this is still better. Fully captures the Shakespearean nature.

That won't be possible. This mod will either be (a) completely non-functional or (b) a mix of old and new voice.

If the official voice isn't as good as this, I won't be removing this from my game.

@shamowow if you play multiplayer at all you and whoever you are playing with need the same mods in the same load order in order to play together.

does in multiplayer everyone need the mod? or is enough if i have it?

I already have the mod, I just came back to give more award points. It rocks.

This is the best VO mod I've seen yet. Other VO mods that I have tried that use Audio Mixer just don't ever sound right as far as volume goes. My friends also love this mod.
