@HypeR - This SOUNDS like you have a mod conflict.

Do this:

1 - Run ARMA and ONLY the listed mods above.

2 - IF it still does not 'work', verify your ARMA files.

3 - IF it still does not 'work', there is a CHANCE that that 'some update' broke this mission, though I doubt this is the reason, for if it was, MANY people would be complaining about it. As of NOW, it is 'just you'.

4 - IF it still does not 'work', it ALSO MIGHT MEAN, your OS is 'bad' in some fashion.


PERSONALLY, I suspect of #1, then #2.

when i start the mission first contact the helicopter wont move and just flies up

@MyNameIsJeff - Well...I DO have one option. As a player, I got tired of such stuff as this and MANY other things that plague ARMA players. So, starting about 20 years ago, I started on a mod to 'fix' such 'issues'.

I released it in 2023.

It addresses YOUR issue and about 2000+ other things too!

A 'quick and dirty' way is to turn on 'god mode' via the console, or use t he mod!


This mod also addresses an issue where the AI would 'run off' and you could never find them to kill them. Not anymore! I THINK this campaign had this issue, or it was another 'big' campaign that did.

Cost nothing to look at it; costs nothing to use! What do you have to lose besides your time dying?

I have problem with mission Manhunt.After I destroy armoured car my teammates are hostile towards me and kill me every time and now i have to do everything from beginning.Does anyone have solution?

Fantastic campaign with so much more effort put into every part of it that i was very surprised, loved the double perspective seeing the motivations of both sides and thought out alternative history scenario, absolute banger 10/10

excellent campaign Apollyon, i can tell u really put a lot of work into it, and love the geo-political angle the missions were based on and the multiple POVs

@FiveFinger you can skip missions with in-game cheats. Use the "endmission" one and continue with next scenario in the campaign. See: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_Cheats

Not playable without APEX DLC. :steamsad: Can`t board a jet ski in "New friends" mission. Without that further progress is not possible.

gho$t. - To build on what Apollyon stated:

Once you hit SHIFT and the NUMPAD - keys together, you will have only a few seconds to type in the phrase of: endmission

While it is NOT listed anywhere, I suspect it is <7 seconds before this 'feature' will time-out.

If you get the code RIGHT OR WRONG, you will NOT know. There is NO indication if you put it in correctly or not.

The ONLY sign will be if the mission just 'ends'. If it ends right then, you did it correctly. If mission continues, you took too long to type it OR you typed it wrong.

Do note: This 'cheat' CAN BE DISABLED by the devs. NOT by 'killing the cheat itself', rather by catching the error code this 'throws', thus catching the cheat there. Have seen this done only ONCE.

This cheat works on ALL ARMA missions, SP ONLY!

@gho$t. To skip any mission that has you stuck because of arma reasons, just use the arma cheat "shift" + "num -" and write "endmission" into an invisible box that will appear, and you will be able to continue

Currently playing through and am blown away. Will be looking to play all your campaigns after this one. I am encountering a glitch on "night raids" mission. The "End" radio transmission command it speaks of to end the mission i'm unable to locate... nothing in my command menu/scroll wheel. So stuck there unfortunately but loving it!

Great campaign, doesnt feel like it was made by one person, rather a big company, cuz this was great, all that lore and stuff. I really enjoyed it , this campaing one of the few really good campaigns , ofc few bugs here and there , but nothing that cant be solved by holy load button. 9.5/10 waiting for part 2

I think you might have blown up your own teammates, therefore they killed you, since when you kill 2 or more friendlies, you are considered an enemy.

In Manhunt i destroyed the three armored cars in the barn. Immediately i lost command and my unit killed me. I presume this is an Arma 3 problem. Somewhat strange if it is a part of the campaign since an option is to find and destroy the forth missing armored car.

great campaign i highly recommend using sog ai it makes stealth so much fun especially when your out gooning. the over all story was great and i loved being able to play as the cgf and the Czechs it reminded me of playing as the arbiter in halo 2. i think my favorite part was the roof top mission with the armored assault on those houses or the night op i rigged all the aa cars to blow with in 10 sec of each other and it was so satisfying. my only complaint was clearing the apartment was a pain in the ass not your fault that the ai is dumb and for some reason they kept one tapping me in there but over all 10\10 great job @apollyon

Great campaign enjoyed it immensely, i recommend people to play it with SOG AI to make your team feel like proffesional soldiers works really well, and there is only a few missions where it doesnt initialize but you can play those missions without it

Fun campaign. Loved the forest combat and multi-objective missions you did.

Although the "Hike In The Woods" mission was a mission skip due to the Hind not lifting off to transport the team after landing.
The last few missions also had major lag near the big city of Susice so couldn't enjoy the finale.

Other than that, hope you do more amazing missions and campaigns. :jake::steamthumbsup:

@calculuswhiz Thanks for the tips, glad you enjoyed the campaign!
1) I understand your point, and i will always try to make it shorter, just to set the stage for the mission itself. But you can always speed up the time, it will go away faster.
2) I dont make autosaves at any particular point, I sometimes even forget them completely. I consider it up to the player to save the game.
3)I think the task descriptions are decent, but might improve upon it.
4)I too play with no markers on map, and if you feel lost, when you open your map, on the upper right corner, there is a circle, if you click it, the map will center on your position. But marking the starting location is a good idea.
5)I guess it depends on your playstyle. If you, for example, watch the playthrough provided in description, guy made it in one go. So did I. I was challenging but not over the top i feel like. But i will likely avoid having player clear buildings this large in the future.

Overall: enjoyed the levels, but a few things that may be helpful for your next project: 1) The black screen at the beginning of each mission really takes a while to go away. If I die and have to reset to the beginning, this is annoying. 2) Save spots can be a little more generous on the longer levels. Sometimes it seems like they come after really easy objectives, sometimes not. 3) It's really easy to miss some of the dialogue text. Would be good if the mission objectives were more descriptive or there was a way to review the dialogue if I miss something important. 4) On harder difficulties, map positions are hidden and I have no way to figure out where I am with no GPS (GCM missions). Starting locations should be marked on those levels. 5) Building clearing in ARMA I would say is not its strong suit. Clearing the tall apartment building was frustrating with getting shot through floors sometimes. I think a smaller building (or several smaller buildings) may help alleviate this.

@MobZ Thanks for the review. As for the story ending abrubtly, there are 2 reasons-
-I plan to make part 2, which will expand upon the storyline of GCM´s actions in Europe, and purpose of this story was to estabilish GCM as a potential threat to security in Europe and make them win the East-German elections, securing power over the country, which will likely play a role in further stories.
-I planned this to be just a small 10 mission campaign, and ended up making this my biggest work yet, because i got myself hooked to the story i was making. It is what it is, Im just happy a gave it an ending at all.

By the way, some missions could really use a COOP mode. Especially those where you clean a number of GSM camps in the AO, as they are kinda boring to solo. If I am not mistaken, there is no heavy scripting involved in these missions (only document picking), so adding 2-4 playable slots would work miracles.

A solid piece of work. Some missions were really tense, some were boring af, but overall I really enjoyed the story and the combat situations this campaign provides. I started playing it as a remedy for my lack of creativity in mission making and boy, did I get an inspiration for my future ops. The Czech setting feels rather interesting, and so is the story. One may notice that some parts (namely the end of the campaign) were cut short. I feel that the story should have had a better closure, but you do you. To my surprise, the campaign works rather stable with 80~ mods loaded (lambs and ace included). Ofc there were some bugs, yet nothing that a simple zeus magic can't fix. The fps was great (for Arma), especially if you set your distance to 500m or smth like that (you won't need more as Sumava is basically a giant forest).
It was a good experience for the first ever user campaign I completed in Arma.
Solid 7/10

Man this was amazing, only real complaint was that we didn't see a conclusion for our GCM POV, just have to assume what happened to the characters. Did they die or they just escape after the ceasefire?

2.2)But even after "Manhunt", once Samuel Dietrich is dead, Czechs are lost again. They have no leads on anything.
While the GCM is cooperating with East-Germany SpecOps, plan a large scale attack on Sušice. And Czechs? They are assisting the UN with demining operations in some random forest, cause they just dont have any leads to follow.

2) The point of "Assault In Force" is to get any kind of intel, or eliminate HVTs. Hell, if they manage to capture any high ranking GCM guy, thats a jackpot. Biggest issue the Czechs have, is to get any kind of lead on anything, really. You can clearly see, that their operations mostly consist of only searching for clues or self-defence.
When they get a lead, they go after it hard, and make to most of it - "Manhunt" mission is a good example of that. Mission literally takes place due to the intel that was found in "Assault in Force" by other Orel teams. If they bombed it, they would find nothing but rubble.

When it comes for tasks not shown as completed, that is my usual mistake, sorry fot that. No updates to this campaign anymore.

To your points:

1) If at any point there is a fight in populated areas, such as the capture of Hradešice or Sušice battle in the last parts - Do you really want to throw artillery on your own civilians and infrastructure, while you try to make everyone think that Operation Husita is merely an anti-terrorist operation? Not great PR. That is why helicopter support is used more often.

So, campaign is played and I have some words, questions and emotions to share them with all of you and especially author.

Starting with words
This campaign is AWESOME . Yes, it didn't have work with camera but author of this campaign perfectly replaced it with content and other things which made it so good. It is a first campaign where I saw Czech Army, and it proved it's quality, but they seem little dumb.

Questions:
1) Why Czech Army isn't using artillery? It could be turning point in many fights.
2) Why Czech's in "Assault In Force" didn't just bombed place with unguided rockets or bombs?
3) Could you make triggers in some missions with big zones by activation on superior of side(GCM or Czech's)?

Reports:
1) In "Under Night's Cover" after destroying of AA tasks aren't make completed in "Tasks" briefing tab.
2) In "Fight On" after taking of Votambar/Radio Tower(?) task isn't applying completed status in briefing

That is all for now, maybe I would remember something in time

As to where I get any ideas from, I just wanted to use the Šumava map, which meant having Czech Army as the main force in the story. This is just first thing that I came up with.
I was actually a bit scared that people will call this random lore i made up stupid and dislike it. Glad that wasnt the case at all!
When making a story, I basicaly have a clear starting point, and somewhat clear ending. All that is in between i just make up as i go, seems to work I guess :steammocking:

Great campaign, well done! I'm just wondering where you get these ideas from? I mean, since you do everything yourself on these campaigns, I'm really surprised by your ideas and works. What can I say but congratulations and of course I would like you to do a sequel because the story is too good.
