I get ya, yeah that would be the better alternative in the absence of a nice texture for the helmet.
That's not really fixing it as much as covering it up. I thought you were asking for a mod that changed the helmet texture itself. (btw I also use that mod to show hair, not sure if you use the same one but you can have settings to have it show helmets in / out of space or while drafted or not, it's super nifty)
Not as far as I am aware, but I get what you mean, it does look rather weird how the lower half of the back is not covered by the helmet.
Can you verify that it is this mod by adding / removing only this mod? This mod is entirely safe to remove / add at any time btw so no need to worry about that if it is a concern.
Is it with one item or with all? can you give me as many details as possible?
Because this mod is 99% just textures, there's nothing that should realistically cause that (I think).
Is this with the gunlink or other visors?
It does indeed good sir. From the description of this mod
"As of 1.5 now also Includes support for all ideology styled helmets that 'should' have visors as well as for Vanilla Factions Expanded - Empire."
If you want me to add visors for mods, just leave a suggestion and I'll look into adding those.
Vac Helmets now have visors too and use upscaled HD textures (256x256)
Thanks Xyvern for bringing this to my attention.
*Visored vacsuit helmets will be added in the future
Still if the helmets had see through visors they would have been completely see through like the recon helmet. At least that's how I feel about it. It makes more sense that it has an internal display screen while the rest of the helmet is completely sealed off for maximum protection, at least that is my head cannon. I don't know what Ludeon's actual intentions were with the helmet as it's quite the odd looking thing regardless. If I made those parts see through the entire thing would be mostly just see through helmet which I think would look kind of weird too. I'll consider giving it a try and see how it looks when 1.6 rolls around. No promises though.
Anyway, I have always believed the yellow part in cataphract helmets was like military grade yellow tinted glass. Like a space suit helmet.
Will be updated to 1.6 as soon as I get my hands on the DLC.
As for the vac suit, I'll have to see but if it makes sense then yes they will get the same treatment.
I had considered it but in my imagination the cataphract helmet does not have a visor. It has an internal display of what is happening on the outside. What part would be the visor in your imagination if I may ask?
I don't see why it wouldn't be?
At the very least it won't crash your game. It's just textures.
No problem, Xyvern mentioned it to me that it could use a little touch up. If you have other 'popular' mods that have helmets that needs visors, don't be shy to suggest them. I might just add them in this pack ;)
> Updated support for all ideology styles that should have them + bonus visor for Totemic Recon.
> Added support for Vanilla Factions Expanded - Empire
The Mechlord armor has a unique texture, what do you mean it still uses the default? Yeah it's always had a new default unique texture since biotech launched.
Can you show me what this 'default' is according to you that is incorrect? Cause I just can't seem to wrap my head around what it is exactly that you mean.
> Support for Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Sophian Style. They now have more prominent darker visors similar to this mod
> Touched up my old gunlink visor to have a small 'outline' on the edge of the visor similar to how Sophian style did theirs because I think theirs looks better and now the two mods are aesthetically similar.
> Added load-folders. Might cause problems for people below version 1.5.
If you are experiencing problems with this update, errors or not loading properly, let me know, I have never used LoadFolders before but this should provide a cleaner load structure which is good for lower end rigs.
I'm honestly curious when you said that the mechlord suit still used the default? Did you mean it used the default Marine Armor as a placeholder? The wiki doesn't make any mention of it either.
"he never updated the chestplate texture so its still the default."
Wdym it's the default? Can you be more specific? I clearly have an unique mechlord suit texture for mine ... might be the mods but I doubt it. Can you show me with a screenshot what is wrong with it?
also, hell yeah! ive been wanting that silly little face slot fixed so badly, i dont understand why the helmet goes from protecting the face to literally protecting everything BUT the face. wild.
loving the visor, thank you!
Mechlord helmets now have visors!
Lemme know if you guys like this design. It's a bubble visor for in space! SOS2 patch not included in this mod
What exactly is wrong with the mechlord chestpiece?
and theres still no visor :(

I'll see what I can do.
You mean the Mechcommander helmet?
Whats wrong with it exactly? What do you think should be changed?
The helmet does look goofy as hell but the center black spot as far as I see it isn't a visor but just the coloration of the helmet itself. It's supposed to protect the entire face like that. Even if I made it a visor the eyes wouldn't be properly aligned making it even more goofy.
I have no idea how he is supposed to navigate like it is now but I like to imagine he uses the electronic waves on his headset to create a 3D environment like a bat does with his acoustics. At least that's my head cannon and you can't convince me otherwise lol. He's 'one' with the ether. He's neo ... with a funny helmet.
> Regular Recon Helmet now has west facing graphic
> Gunlink now properly placed behind head when facing westward
> Added Mod Icon lol
If you have any issues please let me know, I'm new to modding and the 1.5 update changed how graphics are rendered so bugs may occur.
