Thank you I love both Life steal and summoning and with this mod I can also indulge in a bit of attack speed
The targeting issue is quite simple.
In default settings knifes hit an enemy once and search for a new target forgetting the original target regardles if it survived or not. And do not respect the "pick closest to summon" rule often picking targets at random.
They should stick to their target until it dies.
When they "Use Player for Targeting" they pick the furthest enemy at the moment they look for a new target and focus on it until it dies even tho that enemy is way outside the max distance they are allowed to be while in this mode.
They should search for the closest enemy to the player after each hit regardless if the target survived or not.
Dark Seilles is right about knifes range they shouldn't even try to target enemies that are off screen because it leaves the summoner defenceless
In conclusion I'm afraid that this mod is ma fun idea but requires a bit of tweaking to be even playable since in it's current form it struggles to hit a single slime in the earlygame.
@Aisho I'm not sure if I'm going to be making this compatible with multiplayer in the future. I have not tested any features for multiplayer. I would recommend not using it with friends, sorry.
@luavis You need to assign a keybind to upgrade the knives in your controls.
@Dark Seilles If I do update this mod, I'll add that as a config option. I had overlooked the teleport situtation, in case this mod is updated I'll fix fiat.
@aspect I'm not entirely sure what you're reporting. It's recommended to use the default targetting, the other option was only added because the guy who commissioned the mod requested it. What the option does is simply make the knives attack the enemy closest to the player instead of the knives themselves.
- All healing and exp goes to the player who joins the server first if multiple players have them.
- Other players can't see each others knives
- Not sure how to recreate it but we had an issue getting it to give out exp in the first place until
making new ones.
- Again not sure how to recreate but the speed on them ended up as 1 pixel and the healing was
constant but it was always for 1 at some point.
- Knives get stuck in trying to attack things around the other player no matter how far if monsters are near them
even with the settings for nearest the knife to target.
Again love the idea and I'm sure it works super well in single player and would love an update if possible.
