@Ex Ossibus Fumus - Thank you for pointing that out - forgot to restore!
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Sep 1 @ 10:52am
@jUG_05 - Apologies for the lack of information - it was just logo and branding changes! - Nothing mod specific. Our website overhaul is underway and we're bringing everything on brand with the logo's etc.!
jUG_05 Aug 30 @ 5:43pm
what was this latest update?
Ex Ossibus Fumus Aug 29 @ 8:50am
What happened to the description?
Migs Aug 20 @ 8:39am
@Harranczyk

You customize them in the sandbox options
Harranczyk Aug 20 @ 6:57am
Question, how to customise the mod options? I can't seem to find them in the options
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Aug 1 @ 4:24am
@Migs - Solid advice here =)

That's an awesome idea as well. I've only seen people going for the lower end of temp range for environment challenged play through's, I'd never thought of going the other way!

Glad you're enjoying and it's our pleasure.
Migs Jul 27 @ 11:29am
My advice would be to go for sneakers and sports clothes, those tend to have the least insulation and that's what I've been doing, but yeah, it's pretty hard.

I'm trying to do a desert/wasteland scenario by tweaking the settings of this mod so it's always very hot (or most of the time, atleast) and it's a pretty interesting experiment so far alongside the 100 years later mod, so thanks for making this mod :)
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jul 27 @ 6:39am
@Cosmo - I'm suffering the same as you living in the woods at the moment... It's around 38 - 40 degrees most days as it's July. Resorting to the "Birthday Suit" method is kind of dangerous due to all the scratches etc. I pick up moving through the trees, at the same time I'm literally boiling body weight off me and drinking the contents of the Echo Creek River if I keep clothes on!

For the time being I've gone for a half way house in Boxers, Rubber Boots and a T-shirt... looking a bit "unusual" and would definitely give other survivors a bit of a shock if I ran into any, but seems to be mostly giving me a good balance...

Have you gone for the naked approach Sir?! - let me know how you're handling it!
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jul 27 @ 6:35am
@johncreaseman - That is not something I've come across before Sir!

In some of the older versions we had a higher latitude causing a bit too much rain, but a drought for 1+ month seems kind of crazy... I can only assume this is insanely bad luck. Hunker down... Get yourself a fire going, a load of pots and start boiling the stuff out of lakes and rivers ASAP. There is a large clay storage device that holds around 300 litres that I forget the name of, but you don't even need a kiln to build it, this has already saved me on a number of "Wildman" play through's.

Let me know how you're doing there chief!
Cosmo Jul 21 @ 2:43pm
Hey @RãקּŦɵ۳ ™ With cold weather, it's understandable, you just dress warmer, but what about the heat? Should you run naked, or should you just not wear clothes with strong insulation?
johncreaseman Jul 20 @ 5:30am
My first time playing with this mod and i generally like it, however there has been a drought now for like a month and im running out of water. Is this intended?
I cant see it in the mod features listed above.
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jul 13 @ 5:57pm
@justdeltaxd - I'm not sure what you want me to "fix" - all the settings can be fully customised. If you don't want it to get so hot... just turn the max temperature down.
justdeltaxd Jul 13 @ 4:12pm
it isnt 100+ degrees in kentucky during the summer...can you fix this possibly? i think its due to this mod as this never happens during vanilla playthroughs
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jun 28 @ 6:22am
@Everyoneplays - this doesn't affect anything like vehicles or vanilla mechanics. It just changes the weather.
Everyoneplays Jun 26 @ 3:28pm
I don't know if this affects vehicles in vanilla or if it is because of the mod but my characters is casually sitting inside a car that's 148.6 degrees Fahrenheit :dkas_barrel:
ethanp89 Jun 25 @ 6:26pm
Thanks so much for the reply. I'm 6 days in with both mods activated and 10 day seasons. The temperature is starting to drop so we shall see once Fall comes. I'll keep them both on for now. Much appreciated for checking it out for compatibility. Seems to be a pretty popular mod.
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jun 25 @ 1:53pm
@ethanp89 - please be careful with this as although I'm not familiar with that mod, it sounds like it affects the same code just based on the title/description. I will take a look at the mod you mentioned tomorrow and update this comment but if you proceed in the meantime please make sure you take a backup of your game just in case. It might be absolutely fine but I always prefer to be super cautious!

I'll drop another comment after work tomorrow once Ive had a chance to look at the code in the mod you mentioned.

Let me know how things go if you try before then!
ethanp89 Jun 23 @ 8:06am
Do you know if this mod is compatible with "Surviving Through The Seasons"? Which speeds up the days of each season. I.e. 10 days for each season. Thanks!
Oach May 10 @ 4:23pm
Thanks for your response. No pressure at all! Your team's dedication is admirable. A work around I might try is starting Dec 1 I might try switching to Cryogenic Winter (easy mode at first) with the "permanent snow" option enabled which claims "an almost permanent snowstorm".
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] May 1 @ 12:15pm
@Oach - Thank you for all your kind words!

We're slowly porting our other mods to B42 at the moment and this has our main focus. This is certainly something interesting and I'm certain there are ways to create fixed weather systems... Although I don't know how "exposed" those parts of the code base are too modders. We'll do some digging at our end over the coming weeks and see if I can give you a better answer on this!

Please feel free to swing by our discord and bug me on this again in a few weeks. Next we're hoping to bring Meds, Cures and Delays to B42 as current plans stand.
Oach Apr 25 @ 5:12pm
Hi! Love this mod and has been an essential addition to all my playthroughs since I first tried it! I'm currently running an insanely low loot run while also using Surviving Through Seasons to really apply pressure to prep for winter. A way I would love to amp up the challenge would be to have a perpetual blizzard starting Dec 1 or there about and run all the way to the end of Feb. Is there any known way to do this?
ethel † Apr 7 @ 4:17pm
@RãקּŦɵ۳ ™, Thanks!:spiffo:
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Apr 5 @ 6:53pm
@ethel †

I am honestly not sure... I'm not familiar with this mod or what it does/uses. When in this situation I have always found it best to fire up and new game with JUST both these Mods installed and see what happens for a few days/weeks.

I'd also try starting the game from a few different Seasons just to make sure nothing crazy happens further down the road.

My suspicion here on first pass is that the mod you linked is more a GFX effect than actually affecting the weather system itself. But I must stress I haven't had a chance to look at the code. Fingers crossed with a little testing this will turn out to be fine and you can enjoy both!

As always - Swing by our Discord with your Console.txt file if anything does go crazy and we'll see if we can make sense of it for you :)
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Apr 5 @ 6:50pm
@Skipper - This again sounds like mod conflict with another weather mod etc. Our mod adds more extreme weather conditions to the Seasons but you shouldn't be experiencing anything that crazy - we certainly haven't on any of our servers and we've been running this for a few years since B41!

As I mentioned to marshmallow below - if you'd like some assistance in working out what's happening there, please drop by our discord and bring along your Console.txt file, we'd be more than happy to take a look.

If you'd like to "reduce" the effects of this mod then all the settings offer customisation from the menu. Perhaps try reducing the Season Variation by a single digit would be my only other suggestion?

Hope this helps!
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Apr 5 @ 6:47pm
@marshmallow justice - Thank you for the followup and apologies for the misunderstanding. I've cleaned up the thread here as it's a bit overkill for Mod Comments!

In answer to your original Q at the bottom of the post - Yes this is very likely mod conflict as if you try this on a fresh server these problems don't occur. I hope this helps.

If you'd like some assistance working out what conflicts etc. please drop by our discord and bring your console.txt file along and we'll take a look for you!

Hello, is this mod compatible with SportXAI's Sunlight [B42]?

Why there is a snow like outside when it's raining in july?
marshmallow justice Mar 13 @ 12:00pm
Hello, lovely mod, curious about some things

From the description I thought it only makes things hotter or colder. But from reading comments, there is rainstorms/thunderstorms?

In that case - does it work with the mod "Weather Events" that you can choose to also add Blizzards or Thunderstorms. I thought I would need it so I added it, then our server had a 'thunderstorm' (with thunder sound fx) for almost 3 days straight and the logs said it was Weather Events but higher up there was also "Calculate weather front strength" section with a lot of detailed info, which I assume was this mod.

Secondly, our characters seem to be hot all the time even after stripping almost all our clothes off. Unpleasantly hot 36-37c despite being in practically underwear. Is it a mod conflict?
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jan 21 @ 3:36pm
@Shans - Thank you for asking, please feel free to go ahead! - We hope your enjoy!
Shans Jan 21 @ 5:32am
Hi, I would like to request permissions to add the mods to a private collection for a server with friends.
what would be the steps to follow to get the permissions?

Greetings
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jan 20 @ 5:24am
@AsmallJuiceBox - The Temp Values are in Celsius - Upper limit 50C. The Default values should have your summers capping out around 100F (ish) or above in heatwaves etc. We've capped the upper limit at 50C as there really shouldn't be a reason to go above this?!

The negative Cap is -170C for people who want Cryogenic Winter Settings
AsmallJuiceBox Jan 19 @ 11:42am
Considering the world maximum temp for me is capped at 50 Im wondering if this is Celsius or Fahrenheit as ive seen you respond to some in the comments saying that as it can top 100 it is in F but again for me its capped at 50?
Hatsune Miku Jan 18 @ 6:04am
one of the best mods!!!

@sucgangclarence93 - This is a full Weather Customisation Mod!

@Kenpachi - Delighted you are enjoying and thank you so much!
Kenpa Jan 14 @ 7:55pm
I think the heartwarming award was appropriate.
Kenpa Jan 14 @ 7:53pm
I was way too pampered until I used this mod. Ran for my life (nothing new) and while sitting in the truck cab, smoking a cig, laughing at the loser zeds who failed to munch on me... I noticed my body temp was 127.0F. O_O

I had to grow up fast that day and realize you can't run around wearing long john's in the summer anymore. Thanks for the new hard lesson and potential cardiac arrest... immersion.
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jan 14 @ 12:45pm
@ZnikyBaztard - Would really appreciate this. No it's very minimal, just the tool tips etc.

I'll drop you an add on Steam if that's ok?
ZnikyBaztard Jan 12 @ 1:09pm
i can help with italian if its not like 30 pages to translate .
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jan 12 @ 6:39am
We're hoping to add some translations here folks (and other mods) - is anyone able to help us with some additional languages - if so please shout!
Тони Сапрана Jan 10 @ 10:21am
That great. Thanks.
tot4ll3d  [author] Jan 10 @ 9:25am
@Тварь Бешенство - Yes - Totally safe to add and remove from existing saves.

Thanks to recent patches any changes you make to the weather settings should be "almost" instant as well.

When removing the mod - the weather may take some time to return to "Normal" as the game pre-generates weather for a period of time into the future.

Hope you Enjoy!
Тони Сапрана Jan 10 @ 8:03am
Can it be added to an existing save?
RãקּŦɵ۳ ™  [author] Jan 7 @ 2:55pm
Our Pleasure - Thank you so much for all the kind comments!
UndeadLokemaniac Jan 7 @ 12:51pm
You are fucking amazing!!! I have been hating the new weather system so badly! Fucking 58 degrees in summer? Wtf. Sooo should I kiss your boots now or later?
UnCheat Jan 7 @ 12:46pm
Thank you guys!

B42 Patch released!

We hope you enjoy it - we're still adjusting to the new code base etc, so if you have any feedback/suggestions, please be gentle and let us know in our discord. We've always got Admin's around to try and help.

We'll be bringing as much of our B41 content forward as soon as possible but a little more time is needed for some of the more complicated stuff like "Meds, Cures and Delays".

Finally we're keeping our B41 servers online for anyone who still has the MP craving. We'll also be hosting a number of both Public and Whitelisted B42 Servers as soon as MP returns!

**As always a huge Thank You to 0x2ba22e11 from the [KYR] Community for critical technical support!**

Stay Safe Out There.
