You mentioned having some issues with balancing the gun on the pivot. Maybe the 1x1 rocket booster xml edited with more fuel can get it balanced?

@Novum33 After a lot of testing, I've found this is really hard to implement well into a vehicle. It seems every part of the gun perfectly balanced on the pivot in order to achieve a proper effect. It's a good first step but this looks far from a combat-ready state

Are reaction wheels too weak to work with this or am I crazy/doing it wrong

Even with it balanced out the mass of the gun is so heavy the multiple reaction wheels cant keep it stable and it wigles slowly and lags behind anyways
