The Seleucid empire did not officially collapse until Pompey Magnums of Rome (rival and co-consul of Julius Caesar) found the now roman - vassal state of Seleucid too rebellious to govern and too independent thinking to be a "true friend of Rome" and so in 64 BCE concurred all of Syria while already campaigning in the East during his besieging of Jerusalem and was granted a triumph in Rome, I believe concurrent to Ceasar's triumph for the conquest of Gaul.
- If anything i want a stronger Seleucid opponent, there is a good MOD in which the hegemony of several major factions are rammed up, the Ptolemy's among them.
