After I finish my current playthrough, there is a good chance I can make this mod work 100% and be fully compatible with DLC (note that I don't own BBP, don't like it), and other light-related mods as well.

So I found a fix, all I had to do was restart the game after changing the options. :steamfacepalm:

I found a bug.

In mod options I tried to turn off lights for both digging hat and research hat using both the checkmark to the left and I also tried changing the lux, range and reveal to 0 but they still act like i haven't changed any options.

I'm using all dlc btw and i doubt any of the other mods I'm using would cause a problem with this mod.

The only solution I've found was not using hats but I really like using hats to tell their main skill.

anyone can help please.. i want to have the lights not extended beyond the floor. right now its extended to the floor below. so if you have 4units tile and the 5th is the floor its extended below it to the 6th tile. any setting to turn off or adjust?

I don't quite understand your explanation (maybe it's because of my basic english)

I have a room defined by the game as barrack (shared bedroom) there is a lamp on the ceiling, it never goes out

This one is reverting the direction of Mercury light. It would lit up the ceiling it's attached to instead of the below area

This doesn't crash on the latest version for me, :steamthumbsup: , but it seems like changing the visuals for how bright tiles look doesn't seem to have any effect. I was playing around with the slider to try and bump the darkness up a little bit and it seems to look the same. I'm not exiting the game, just going back to the main menu and reloading a save.

Bug: debuffs seem to be stacking. So I get -8 athletic dupes and they just can't get to the lighted zones. And when they do - debuff doesn't go away for a long while

A great mod. There is only one hickup. Since light is needed to remove the "fog of war", sunlight should be able to reveal any open space (i.e. the vakuum above the asteroid). Relesed Shine Bugs or used ladders + lanps to reveal it.

Have not used this mod yet, but it looks interesting. The comments say that it's not working anymore. Would be nice if it got updated ^^

Welp, the March 2025 QoL broke it. Loading my save without the darkness mods reminded me just how much I don't like how the game looks without it.

For some reason, the costumes and hats on the bionic duplicants don't glow. And it's a pity that all light is not “light” as in the game (passes through blocks). In the original mod (lights out) opaque blocks blocked the glow (except glass and plastic)

I noticed that:
- Bionic Duplicants are not included in the light emitted by default by a duplicant. It would be nice to have a Bionic Duplicant work the same as a duplicant on this.
- Same applies for the configs under the minionLightingConfig. A Bionic Duplicant with a minor hat won't have any light emitted by its hat

doesn't crash on the last version (vanilla) , but it has some bugs... I found that mod options changes by opening mod menu after load any saves.

Can confirm the crash is with new version, so doesnt work with the new DLC version. but it does still work if you roll back to earlier version of the game without the DLC.

for some reason the normal ceiling light has NO range... im trying to make a farm and i would need to use the bulb critter to illuminate it...

@ljcoder07 My but aren't we entitled. All you have to do is click ONCE on the link (the highlighted "Darkness Not Included" line.

Had you made a reasonable request I would of happily considered explaining some of the features, as this is a favorite mod in my loadout. However, since a single click is 'too inconvenient for you,' giving you ANY additional information is now far too inconvenient for ME.:steamfacepalm:

Still no update form Scitor, be he already said he is looking into it. So just give him some time. Modders just do this as a hobby.

Hopefully, it wont be long untill darkness invade even the most frosty of your dreams :-)
