There will be no 1.6 update before the official release. Like always, "1.6 when" comments will be deleted and blocked.

Any chance we could get a patch that would allow us to the the mechanoid power cells from your mod with the craftable spartan armory mod? I was wondering since this is kind of a successor mod to the old mechanoid power mod and that mod was needed for the armor mod.

Yeah, no matter what I tweak or try and change, I still get 5000w output. I even changed the defaults. Still get 5000w output.

two things. One, I can't change the power output in the mod settings. I mean, I can, but the generator is still producing 5000w. Second, a more precision way to change the power output would be appreciated. Tight now the closest I can get to 10000w is 10007. May I suggest putting it in the form of a multiplayer instead?

No, it means it produces 5000Wh.

@Sentence: Death: Tested it, works fine. Seeing how you didn't bother with even a basic log and decided to go with a passive aggressive comment instead, I can not help you. If you are referring to the mod options saying -5000, that is how Rimworld works. Any building producing power has a negative power consumption value.

@Chris_ Try turning on dev mode and checking the log. Would wager it's unlikely this mod alone is the problem. Might also want to try disabling other mods to see if there's some mod interaction causing it.

This mod causes extreme lag for me, i don't know why. As soon as i place the generator down it starts lagging, going from 2700 tps to 300

I'm playing on Ice Sheet mountain tile, deep in the mountain. I cranked up the heat value for the generator, but it barely makes a dent, raising temp from -80 celsius to -70 in it's room (9x9). Is this supposed to be the case? I figured that I would actually have to still cool down the thing going by the description, but it doesn't seem to generate much heat. Is this intended? It's not a big deal, mind you, I was just surprised. I thought that it might cook the mountain. I played too much oxygen not included I guess and was worried about temperature :D

For anyone frustrated over not being able to fine tune the power output value with the slider in the mod options:

Open mod folder: Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\3041187151\1.5\Patches

Open Slider-Patches.xml file with wordpad, or some other program.

You need to change the <defaultValue> in ===Power Output === section from -5000 to whatever you want to

After that, when you enter the game and hit reset button in mod option, it will set the power output to that value.

I assume there are other ways of doing that, but that's what i managed to figure out and it worked for me...

@raz334: They are balanced fine, but of course depending on the DLCs you own they might be rarer. Given they are basically free energy I consider that to be good. As for the second point, they are balanced for the vanilla game, you compare them to another mod. So that is invalid. Also you can tweak their output in their mod settings.

-Vanometric Mechanoid Cells too rare, even with traders who charge the price of half your base for one....

- Power output isn't worth it, if you have other mods that allow the creation of regular vanometrics, and slap on the generator upgrades to those you can create one 3x more powerful than this mod's max settings (25k) within a slightly larger space (70k+). The regular vanometrics are significantly easier to make as well.

+Great Idea though, it gave me the idea to try combining the upgrades with the vanometrics,
-Sadly they don't work with your Generator :(.

@S3RG1E SH\/3TS The term; 'jury-rigged' is an old sailing term and in common parlance it means to have a temporary improvised or makeshift rigging. It is pronounced (at least where I am); "jerry-rigged", but 'jury-rigged' is the correct spelling. The more you know, have a good day.

I am also having the same issue as Farron. After editing the mod settings to set to -25000, the actual in-game value hasn't changed even after a restart and unsubbing/resubbing and after starting a new game.

However I'm running the game heavily modded and haven't tested it without other mods. So I'll have to do some playing around with that some time in the future. Just thought I'd call out that he isn't the only person with this problem.

Can you increase the max amount of power you can give the vanometric generators? It's a bit of a strange question, I know but 25k per generator is honestly not enough to power even a quarter of my base

After the last update: 1.1-sheev-rev2.
In the game settings, disappeared "Vanometric Generator" settings tab.
I had to uninstall and then install mod again, it helped to get the settings tab back.
If after each update will have to do this, it is very inconvenient.

+ and - buttons would also help like +1 and +10 as trying to set it to 7500 atm is a nightmare
