Is there a known bug with this that makes him spawn slightly above the ground and keeps him floating until he dies? i cant seem to play my first stock on any maps without floating. i cant use his tornado ability while hes like this

animation versus is a new game i'm working on that recently had it's kickstarter campaign end, it's a fighting game that mixes traditional and plat fighters based around the animator vs animation series by alan becker

said it a few times before but my sonic is meant to be based off around the adventure/dreamcast era of games rather than the series as a whole
so to keep it feeling authentic i decided to only use voice actors from the time

Totally possible that it's just some uber rare bug that I managed to encounter first try and it's pretty easily fixed by just restarting the game at least

do you know how to replicate it or does it just kinda happen? cuz if it just kinda happens idk what i can do about that, but if it's more than that then i think that it's something i can look into

He doesn't function as if he's in the air constantly- rather he functions as though he's on the ground, but with a few of his moves bugging out while being elevated slightly in the air

He can still run around and whatnot, but his tornado attack will bug out and not work (he won't actually move around, he'll just spin in a single spot) and dodge rolls won't go anywhere horizontally

So it's more than a visual glitch but it's not quite "can only do aerial attacks"

I'm noticing that sometimes when I try to use your Sonic, he's elevated a bit off the ground no matter what stage he's on (and even in the playtest screen) and acts as though that elevated spot is the ground

This makes it so he can't dodge roll across the floor- he only rolls on the spot.

Would you know why this might be happening by any chance? Is it a bug you've encountered before? Swapping to another character and then back to reload him doesn't seem to fix it either

Shutting the game off and then back on again DID fix it- but I figured I'd post the comment anyways to note that this is something that can happen, in case you haven't heard of it happening before
