I don’t agree that forward air overshadowed forward or neutral special. While Fair and Fspec traveled similar arcs, Fspec was usually my go-to, often nuking stocks at 100% near ledge. Nspec, meanwhile, reliably forced opponents further offstage and spiked with safety.
No disrespect intended. I just wanted to post my perspective. Do what you feel is right.
the move was way too strong for what it gave sonic:
- very active
- multihits on a character that his main mechanic involves doing combo hits to get to a stronger state
- a burst option
it overshadowed other moves in the kit like fspec and nspec so i felt like something needed to change
for now we'll see how it goes and how more people feel about it, since sonic will be in the vortex gallery 2025 bracket i won't be able to push any patches but another patch is already worked on (not by me i don't have the time)
