Doesn't work anymore. Construction sectors take more infrastructure than they create.

You will not be able to use this mod with Construction Infrastructure Rebalance as they are muturally incompatible, as they likely edit the same file.

@TurtleShroom Testing with this mod only proves otherwise; it is either an incompatibility with another mod or an entirely unrelated reason.

Yeah, having played a game with the new patch, I definitely feel infrastructure needs toning down alongside other changes to Infrastructure they've added; I'll try values like that and see how it feels.

I love the idea, but I feel the infrastructure amount is way too high. 2/4/7/10 or something may work better? Felt I never had to build actual infrastructure after this

@mazutaki I was pretty confident in this, but seeing as I've not messed with Vic3 modding yet I was wondering if some strange interaction was occurring, like knocking over a load-bearing pillar of code.

Ignore them. I looked up your code, you did everything correct. Your mod does nowhere near touch any of what these guys said. Whatever they have running with it, your mod ain't causing it.

Could you please perhaps give some more explanation as to why that is the case? Seeing as this modifies a single file in a fairly minor way, I would be very curious how this mod breaks such an unrelated mechanic

Thank you. I have been having so much less fun on small nations since they made construction TAKE up infastructure. It makes sense to me that with more builders available roads would be better, no?

@Madmouse Ked This mod is not designed with the 1.5 betas in mind (because I'd personally want to wait for them to fix their stuff first), so your mileage may vary in how well this works. I'll revise it once it becomes the live version.

@Fear Denies Faith Construction centres do still consume infrastructure also, so the effective output is 3/5/8/13 per level of sector, though if it is still too great I could turn it down some

I mainly play Unrecognized Majors like Japan and Korea, and this massively simplifies the early-mid game by reducing the need to rush Railroads. Instead, I can go for Society techs (to fix my massive tax deficit) and Military Techs (to avoid being conquered by Europeans).

My only complaint is that the number might be tuned a BIT too high; a Wood Construction building provides 5 Infrastructure, equal to a Cargo Port, yet in starting Japan ports are capped to 5 per state while construction is capped at 15 per state. Maybe a good number would be infrastructure equal to construction value (2/5/10/20)?

This is absolutely just a balance change and not reflective on real life, but Victoria 3 is also hardly a realistic game for many aspects. China being able to...not suck, Russia having no need for warm water ports, Japan overthrowing the shogunate about a week into the game because it forced Britain to open its ports, America vibing forever without dealing with the slavery thing, the Great War being *impossible* to occur because of how capitulation works, everyone magically turning Communist by about 1880. Paradox managed to make an excellent materialistic imperialism simulator because without the AI mod, the player will be engaging in world conquest just to extract more oil (because the AI never will). They made a poor simulation of historic Victorian-era conditions.

I don't meant any offence towards you @Gen_kazzum and you are right, I'm just reiterating why I made this mod/ranting a little.
