I'm not sure what you're waiting for, the link to the update is right there in the description :)
A big thank you for the players who volunteered to test and provided me with feedback! It looks like there's no more critical issues, so I'm hoping to make a final update later today before releasing it.

Oh, I didn't realize the last rollback version is only 1.0.0.3 :( I wonder why that's still available and not v1.0.1.3
Just to inform you, I've been working on this mod a lot again to have it work with the coming update/DLC. The new version will be released as a separate mod and this mod will be kept as a legacy mod (assuming the current version will still be available for playing, as has been done with v1.0.0.3). This version will no longer be updated.
The new version will have quite a lot of changes and will require the DLC to play it.

The unlocks for winning has to be done in a non-endless run, difficulty does not matter
Are you still having this issue? Verifying game files might help, otherwise a clean save file. Make sure you're playing on the current version of the game (so not Beta)

That's correct, the Assault rifle is not available in the shop. I will revisit this character/mechanic for the next update (when the official update is live).

The Pet Alien change is now reverted, so it will count as a turret again, but more importantly should no longer be causing any crashes. Sorry about that.

Make sure you're playing on the latest version, but not the beta. Verifying the game files might fix it, otherwise possibly a clean save file.

Also thank you for confirming. I changed the extension from Turret to Entity, but that doesn't seem to play nice :( I'll revert the change for now and work on a better solution for the next update.

Do you mean the beta branch? I don't think a lot of mods are compatible with it, including this one.
If you mean the recent update of this mod, can you please share your log after it crashed?
The update is now live!
In the meantime I've also released this mod , which changes the minimum map size to be slightly bigger.

Some good news, the next update is almost ready. It's mostly bugfixes, balance changes and translations. I'll leave a comment when the update is live and all the details will be in the change notes as usual.
I'll probably also be releasing another mod soon which addresses the map size issues/crashes when the map gets too small (for the endless Royal Battlers among us).

Are you still having issues with some of the achievements? All the achievements that require a win have to be completed in a non-endless run.

Fulfilling the requirement on non-endless runs should complete the achievements. If it doesn't, I cannot tell you why. Resetting the save file and verifying game files usually does the trick, but you could also consider this mod and unlock them that way.

Generally my philosophy for any design is I try to give the character buffs/debuffs that fit its character, without trying to force the player to build a very specific way, with balance in mind. Also for the Pirate there wasn't just a single idea behind the design, but I think it worked out nicely haha

The Royal battler will probably be buffed with the next update. The Blind gunner recently got a buff and I think he's in a decent spot now.

The Alien uses the vanilla effect for the consumables, so I'm guessing it has something to do with how Rainbow chests are coded.
The only future plans I have for this mod is minor adjustments/fixes/balancing, no new content, sorry! I have been slowly working on another big pack though, but it's still a long way from completion. You could follow my workshop to see when I'm releasing something new. :)
