I have noticed that bug myself as well, i think it might have something to do with the distance from the center point being too far for the player to reach or something but it seems to happen even when the player is right by the center. i'm stumped as to what it can be but if anyone can narrow down the cause i don't have a problem fixing.

It is extremely hard to open the containers. 9/10 times when pressing F, it starts salvaging instead.

how do you craft the containers

Maybe add a building container, that could act like a house instead of needing floors, pillars, walls, and roofs
