Do you have 'Engine Industries' installed as a mod?
That should be your goto for this question.
That doesn't mean it's not still a fair bit of work to implement. Just saying if you *wanted* to, the resource is there.
I'm not saying it's impossible, but the author of the Vehicle Framework would have to patch it into the main framework or a talented modder would have to create a separate patch for it. But as of right now, the author of the VF doesn't have any plans to add job related functionality to vehicles afaik (with the exception of fishing for fishing boats)
It shouldn't be too difficult to implement "mining laser" type turret functionality in VF. Could probably mostly replicate the effect of something like the "MiningCo. DrillTurret". Would need a bit of code, but should be very possible.
That would be really cool right? Sadly that's not up to the author of this mod, vehicles are part of the vehicle framework and as of now there aren't any plans that I am aware of that will allow vehicles to do jobs that pawns do but who know for the future.
