honestly, compared to other vehicles this mech is kinda lame... it doesn't even have enough cargo capacity to hold its own ammo let alone anything else, considering it's supposed to be for cargo lifting and transportation? just mech-wise, it crumbles like tissue paper under sustained fire.

If you disable ammunition in CE , the mobile worker wont be able to be usable . Since their is no way for it fire weapons or reload unlike the other weapon systems .

checking to see if its intended or a mod conflict. The grenade launchers, I cant really "aim" them, they shoot a particular distance from my front. I might know the mod causing it otherwise

The Mobile Workers don't seem to automatically target manhunters,even if the main turret's set to auto target hostiles.

For those asking for CE (Combat Extended) ammo, the author said that 30×173mm(NATO) and 40x46mm Grenade are the ones used.

I looked at the MiningCo DrillTurret code, and even as a non-modder, it seemed pretty straightforward? The turret's C# code is open-source.
That doesn't mean it's not still a fair bit of work to implement. Just saying if you *wanted* to, the resource is there.

@Katie well most of turret in rimworld uses "verb" system to did their work, but VF isn't, so making a new turret type required some more c# coding to implent

I'm not saying it's impossible, but the author of the Vehicle Framework would have to patch it into the main framework or a talented modder would have to create a separate patch for it. But as of right now, the author of the VF doesn't have any plans to add job related functionality to vehicles afaik (with the exception of fishing for fishing boats)

It shouldn't be too difficult to implement "mining laser" type turret functionality in VF. Could probably mostly replicate the effect of something like the "MiningCo. DrillTurret". Would need a bit of code, but should be very possible.

That would be really cool right? Sadly that's not up to the author of this mod, vehicles are part of the vehicle framework and as of now there aren't any plans that I am aware of that will allow vehicles to do jobs that pawns do but who know for the future.

Do I see that right, there is signifikant overlap with vehicles expanded right? so you will have all the different engines from AOBAs mods plus all the wheel and stuff from VVE?

It's immovable because you loaded it up with too much fuel and ammo. Drop some of the cargo and it will move again.

@meow, that whole mod is a big steaming pile of trash, all the mods that use it break within 10 seconds of trying to move at any point. I've gotten probably 4 tiles before the vehicles just stop moving.

Buggy as hell. Load it up with fuel, and the appropriate ammo, and it says immovable.

Vehicle framework right now is kinda buddy with garages and roofs it seems. A fix that works for some vehicles (not all) is to just cut a few small holes in a roof. For me I found it allowed some vehicles to properly drive in and out of the garage as long as I told them to path where the hole is
