Anthro Traits

Hello, I have the Carrion Eater and Feral Digestion traits.

I can eat rotten food just fine (99% of my diet in 12-months-after playthrough), but then one day I ate a rotten Hamburger and rotten French Fries. My toon got sick from it, as if suffering from food poisoning. Is this normal? All the other rotten food I have been able to eat just fine. Neither of the foods had the tooltip "This food is poisonous to you!", like chocolate does, for an example.

Stinky is a death sentence, you don't even have enough time to loot the house you start in.

@Newo the Foxinator,

I'm trying to recreate your error, it looks like the same one that was posted in the [BUG REPORTING] thread. I uploaded a fix for that yesterday. Do you know if you're up to date on your workshop items? Can you tell me anything else about the error?
Newo the Foxinator 13. juni kl. 12:26
Recently have been getting an error related to doing melee damage that seems related to the mod since the last Zomboid update:

Still operational, but the error pops up every time I strike a zombie.

Excellent mod, keep up the good work.

if i might suggest, changes to feet (Digitigrade, Unguligrade), should also prevent you from wearing shoes
khajiithascoin 9. apr. kl. 2:43
im using inventory tetris, so yes, i am
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. kl. 15:47
@khajiithascoin you shouldn't be able to see those; are you using a mod that changes UI or how equipment/inventory is displayed? You must be on B41, too, right?
khajiithascoin 8. apr. kl. 14:05
by the way when i take off my shoes i have something called "digitigrade paws" does it do anything special? Is this the item enhancing my stomp damage?

@Fennecmain69 You could always try backing up the world and seeing if the mod breaks anything. If you're running the server, you should be doing backups regularly anyway.

I know of no specific mods that Anthro Traits doesn't play nice with, unfortunately. If any of your 100+ mods do anything in the list above, Anthro Traits may cause errors.
fennecmain69 25. mar. kl. 11:29
Hey, sorry, but I’m very new to modding. My friend gave me a bunch of mods I installed, and since I have better WiFi and a better PC, I host our server. This mod looks really cool, but I don’t know which mods might not 'play nice,' as you put it. Since I’m new, I don’t know which mods cause bugs. If anyone knows the main culprits or a thread listing mods that glitch this one, that would be greatly appreciated. I already checked the bug reporting thread but didn’t find issues with my mods. Not sure if all are listed. I’m using multiplayer build 41.78 with sandbox settings and ~100 mods. I can list them if needed, but if known problems exist, it’d be pointless. I mainly ask because I don’t want to corrupt our world. We’ve survived in it for a while, and my friend would be devastated if the server broke because I installed a mod. thanks in advance

@Cat_pod_travoi Thank you so much! I’ve accepted your friend request, and will get the translations in as soon as I receive them!

Hi. I've translated it into Russian. I've submitted friend requests. If you can add my translation to your mod
Kubaj CZ 27. feb. kl. 14:07
Does this mod allow you to eat raw rodents without penalties?
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 25. feb. kl. 12:11
@JXCash, I'm unable to repro this... did you have any errors pop up? Anything else about your situation, and does it fix on a restart?
JXCash 20. feb. kl. 8:15
I think there's an issue with the B42 version where it counts every trait (equipped or not) as equipped. Found this out after I survived falling off a skyscraper. My character was also constantly depressed, and raw meat wasn't dangerous.

They call it B42 unstable for a reason.
longapril954 15. feb. kl. 14:57
i am guy uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we dont know what "bull rush" was MEANT to do uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh download this into your pc
EnderTheGal 2. feb. kl. 10:02
I don't know if this a bug or just a choice for build 42 but shouldn't chocolate milk be poisonous to you with feral digestion?
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. kl. 20:12
Pushed fixes that should fix the errors below. Let me know if there are any further issues in the bug reporting thread!
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. kl. 18:29
@BoB I can repro this and see the issue. Working on a fix for that as well, hopefully done before the weekend is out
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. kl. 18:28
@SpinningFishes, thank you! working on a fix
BoB 25. jan. kl. 12:31
So for build 42 with just your mod. I have carnivore and feral digestion on, if you keep eating raw meat eventually youll get sick. You also gain no hunger aswell. Theres no error logs, but easily replicated.
SpinningFishes 24. jan. kl. 20:52
Oh, this is on build 42
SpinningFishes 24. jan. kl. 20:48
I only see a problem when choosing the food motivated perk. Most fluid containers give a constant stream of errors when hovering over the item in the inventory, and drinking from said containers recovers very little thirst. Restarting does not seem to have an impact.

Errors:

Badonn  [ophavsmand] 24. jan. kl. 14:37
@BoB can you be more specific? Broken how? In what situation do they break? Is this for B41 or B42? Does it persist on restart? Were there any errors that popped up on the bottom-right of your screen? Need this info so I can track down this issue and fix
BoB 23. jan. kl. 18:24
Most food values are broken. And carnivore trait doesnt stop food poisoning correctly, at least for some foods.
devildogg237 23. jan. kl. 3:13
re-subbing and restarting like 6 times and it finally allows me to turn it on, so I guess steam decided to pull a fast one on me
devildogg237 23. jan. kl. 3:01
so is it only meant for debug mode? can't even turn it on.
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 22. jan. kl. 16:34
Done
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 22. jan. kl. 16:14
Oof. Just as I updated it too. Sorry y'all! I'll have it back in a moment
Pompadour Nautice 21. jan. kl. 16:47
Badonn, in case you aren't familiar you can easily patch it by simply just removing the 'versionMax=42.0.2' line on your mod info, that's what I did with my mods!
Axvll 21. jan. kl. 16:43
Update broke the mod
Reggin Kcalb 21. jan. kl. 15:22
update just broke it
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 20. jan. kl. 21:59
@Robivo, no, you're right! It was an oversight on my part after fixing the shake dry bug in B42. I'm pushing an update shortly that gives that functionality back.
Robivo 20. jan. kl. 19:02
Maybe I am misremembering, but didn't Digitigrade (previously Paws) protect against scratches you'd get from walking around?
Or is that only for Unguligrade now?
Rachel L 20. jan. kl. 6:30
Goddamn, i wasnt planning on making my next playthrough being a furry by now i feel that i need it. Great mod (most of these would make sense for humans too btw)
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 20. jan. kl. 1:06
B42 update is finally out! It took only a cool 40 hours over the past 2+ weeks. Please consider donating, or leave a comment with your thoughts! Check the changelog for more info. Some longstanding bugs have been fixed, and more traits will be on the way once I know this is stable. If you encounter any bugs, PLEASE report them in the bug reporting discussion above, and provide reproduction steps.

BEWARE. UPDATING THE MOD MAY CAUSE ERRORS IF YOU HAVE THE PAW TRAIT. IT'S HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO BACKUP OR START A NEW SAVE BEFORE LAUNCHING.
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. kl. 8:41
@Coldsteel, you're right. Looking further, an anthro skin can have a location of "Fur" or "Bandage" (if the gamecharacter is a zombie). Anthro Survivors itself checks if a player is an Anthro by getting the tags of an item. You can iterate through each ItemVisual of a gameCharacter, get the item from that, and check their tags, which can be either "Fur" or "DeceasedFur". If either of those are true, then the gameCharacter is an Anthro. For some reason getting a zombie's WornItems doesn't work for this purpose.

Thanks for mentioning the issue. I'm sure that would have caused some weird bugs going forward. If you'd like, I've updated the code in my github. Feel free to copy that if you need, or send me a DM.
Coldsteel 14. jan. kl. 1:28
Actually body location depends on the skin type - it could also be a bandage. I'll find the time to make an api function which would do this properly.
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. kl. 14:32
@Coldsteel, yes! You can detect the ItemVisuals on a GameCharacter, iterate through them and get the ScriptItem of each one, then get the body location of said item. Each Anthro Survivors costume, regardless of it being vanilla or an additional species, must have a body location of "Fur" to be applied by the mod. Feel free to check my github or message me on steam to get a code example.
Coldsteel 13. jan. kl. 14:14
Have you figured out yet how to reliably detect if a zombie is a furry? I can make it an API call in my mod. If not, I could investigate it too.
Badonn  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. kl. 7:08
I'm currently in the process of updating this to B42! During the upgrade I'm also trying to fix some longstanding bugs and a couple new features, including:
- Redoing digitigrade and hoofed to be more realistic (hoofed -> unguligrade)
- Fixing the shake dry bug when you have digi / hoofed
- Adding the sandbox option to have anthro zombies ignore Anthro Immunity
- and more!

If this mod has made you or your friends happy, please consider donating to my ko-fi! https://ko-fi.com/badonnthedeer
