N3onAssassin I got the plush items in the quick game, they're great thanks. Not had them in story mode which is what I was playing before.

Just did a test run with Purse and I managed to get a plush after a few combats. They aren't that rare so they should appear once every stage at the minimum. Just to double check, go into the Mods tab when you start the game and make sure the mod is checked on, that's the only reason I can conjure to why it isn't working for you.

@nickybradford I'm pretty sure it just means to close / quit the game and then open / start it back up again. If not that then I'm unsure.

Stupid question but how do you relaunch the game? Is that starting a new game or removing it from my computer & re-uploading?

@Emtu I believe so if I'm not mistaken, I'll make sure Brandy doesn't spawn with CR-8 since having only 1 fish spawn with them could be seen as OP/UP

Wait, do all the other common and uncommon fish have HP restoration? That would explain it, as all base game HP restore consumables don't spawn for CR-8.

@Emtu Did a quick test with the Brandy Plush and from what I can gather, CR-8 Only allows that one particular fish to be created. I'll remove Brandy from spawning when playing as CR-8 to avoid this issue.

I don't know if it's a problem with the game or the way the item is coded, but I got a Brandy Plush very early in a CR-8 run, and the only fish it ever gave me (every single combat) was smelt. (I think that's it, the one that gives 8 haste.)

@Captain Hydrodus I looked into it and the best fix I have is to just stop those plushies from spawning when playing as Tote for the time being, if we had a way to blacklist certain items from spawning then I would be able fix this with easy but sadly no such way exist. I'll see about making a patch sometime this / next week.

Small bug major bug to report. When playing as tote, the brandy plush and the glitch/squirrel plushies if they spawn a carving you cannot place it down or use it whatsoever. Beyond that this mod is a total delight and I look forward to seeing what else is done with it!

you could in theory have a limited number of uses per combat/turn, then refresh them on combat end

@Lumios sadly this isn't entirely true, since the item is currently disabled, it can't remove the disabled status effect from itself. Until a way is added to remove the effect from itself while being disabled then I can't do anything about it.

If it is disabled then it is completely possible to remove that effect, but it is not straightforward. First, you need to use "ClearItemStatusEffectOfType". Then, you need to specify which one you want to clear, the same way you apply status effects to items.

Alternatively, if this item can be used only once per turn, just add a "per turn" use limit of 1. Basically, this is the same effect and much cleaner if you don't mind it being refreshed by the coal.

@FeedMe this is a bug with the base game and not the mod, sadly I can't do anything to fix this issue until we get an actual way of being able to remove disabled from an item.

I'm currently playing Tote (No Experience) and noticed that my Duffel Plush didn't refresh when the last combat ended (first round of next combat and is disabled for 1 turn)

@Lumios I'll take you up on that offer in the future when I work on the next major update for my mod, I plan to revamp quite a bit + add some more plushies so a lot of text is going to be changed.

Master Smith Plush is adding +4 Burn to adjacent weapons, in addition to +5 damage. Is this a holdover from an old version? Its tooltips don't mention anything about Burn.

This is also a problem in the base game, looking at the Boo-hoo Buckler. The forge adds "on Use" Haste and Spikes effects and if your item is "automatically once per turn", then it obviously won't work.
Here's how to fix it:
onTurnStart: This item gets used.
onUse: This item adds x amount of Block.

Just make sure to check if it has any energy when doing that because I read from the official docs that when an item has an "onUse" effect, it automatically receives an energy cost of 0 even if none was specified, but it should still work as intended without this potential problem.

Small bug report: Paladin Plush is not able to use the +Haste forge upgrade correctly. It will upgrade Paladin Plush, but you won't get any Haste from the item. I tried this with two separate Paladin Plushes (I got two in a single run), neither was properly adding Haste; the Haste was listed as an "on use" effect.

@Raven After taking a look and doing some play testing, it seems that none of the items reset after combat, the code looks fine so I'm not sure what's causing it to break. Once I figure out what's wrong, I'll update a patch asap

Fantastic mod, though I appear to have run into a bug: Salamander Plush does not appear to be refreshing itself when combat ends; it always enters the next combat disabled. If it's intentionally disabled for a turn or two when combat starts, then nothing on the item states that this is the case.

I really hope for Franken cr8 plushie zombie status effect reverted to not have a 'cooldown' of two combats. Make it legendary and add another downside like 4 slow & 4 weak per turn if needed. The 2 combats cooldown really clash with builds that hopes to utilize it (self poison)

@rotterdxm You're right on those being unbalanced and I've tried to nerf them and a few others for the next update. There's quite a lot of changes to existing ones with many more new unique plushies being add. Hopefully when the next update is out, I'll have done a better job at balancing the Plushies.

Also, I'm very happy to see that everyone likes the sprites~ It's bringing me a ton of motivation to work more on the mod!

Tried this a couple days ago, I found some pretty OP (maybe it's been fixed by now). +5 charm to all enemies 1x per turn for 0 cost? +1 energy 1x per turn for 0 cost, uncommon to boot? Etc.

The spritework is super well done, I would recommend the mod for that alone, and it can be a cool "difficulty softener" for very young players when dropped into the vanilla game. Consider maybe adding some keys in the next update to keep the item pool balanced with so many new plushies to be added.

This is really nice, love the sprites, and the simplicity of it.

For anyone wondering what this is, it's Uncommon, Rare and Legendary Accessory items that are all 0-Cost, 1-Use per turn with usually a single effect, but sometimes two effects. They range in size from 1x1, 1x2 and a single 2x2.

Yo! I just wanted to say thanks for adding the Cthulhu plush haha. Seeing it gave me and the team a super jolt of happiness we managed to make an iconic enough skin as well as that we were given the opportunity to do so in the first place! Besides the self boasting, I always wanted to compliment the sprite work! It's super authentic to the game and I personally love it! So many of them are sooo cute haha.:reheart:
