Cosmetics are more than allowed to change the appearance of a character if they're done right, and I say that this is more than fine. If you really look at this and you genuinely struggle to make this out as the Demoman, when there's so many other people in these comments right now that can easily identify who this is meant to be, then that's solely a you problem.
