But I await your full report.
The server and your computer need to have the exact same version, one of them simply didn't update. If it's your machine that's behind, you can do an unsub / resub on the mod or a verify integrity, both of which will refresh the mod on your PC.
If it's the server then your admin needs to update the server, but in the meantime you can join the discord and get the old version of the mod and redirect your modlist to use that one until they update your server
Open the console with the ~ or the <insert> key and type the command there, then hit enter. (need to be admin)
In any case, among other things, I've used Simple Minimap of yours for a long time, and I more recently fell in love with your Twin-Bar mod, so you may consider me a fan of your mods. ^.^
(Apologies for the double post. I rather rarely post messages, and Steam didn't make their 1000 character post limit clear to me while typing.)
It is good to know a bit of the inner workings of Steam's community rating systems. I come from a time where, on Nexus Mods, they had a 1 to 5 "star" rating that could be given to mods... but the community mostly thought in binary terms, translating to giving mods either a 1 OR 5 "star" rating. And so, the endorsement system was implemented.
I always was one who tended to rate things in the 2 to 4 star range more so than picking absolutes ("bad mods" sometimes aren't all-bad, "good mods" aren't perfect), and so I still view things in that same way, reserving my rating for when it seems especially well deserved. Simpler mods that plainly do as they say are much easier to rate, frankly.
People have no clue how much they can mess that up as Steam has a very "rigged" listing system that is designed for much much larger workshops with millions of users like Skyrim.
For example you cannot get a 5 star rating even if 100% of the votes are positive unless you reach 150 votes first and while downvotes are fairly meaningless afterwards, it's used the 3-month discovery ranking. This mod was at the top of that list a few weeks ago and got removed from it completely because of 2 downvotes total :)
You can't personalize for every single person out there so as a mod user I would always reserve downvotes for things that are outright malicious or misleading and don't deliver what they promise and never actually functional mods that are just different to what I would prefer.
my suggestion: be an engram that you learn between lvls 10-20, or that you learn by talking to an npc or by unlocking the tome of kurak, and use simple materials to craft.
This mod was sort of modeled after world of warcraft's hearthstone mechanic, where you have the stone in your bag the moment you start playing the game at level 1 and speaking to different innkeepers would set it to that location.
In the mod since innkeepers are in short supply, we're using beds, which makes sense as it's your respawn point :P
There aren't really any balance concerns imo. since it has a long cooldown and it's also disabled in certain - more shady - usage scenarios (like when carrying treasure or dragging thralls).
about balancing: at the beginning of conan you walk a lot, so this stone is very op, it would be nice if it was an achievement, more of an objective to do at the beginning of the game, and not just create a bed and bah, it appeared, because it looks like I'm using cheat and not something that I chased and crafted/conquered.
But I was just trying to help, so ofc, if you can provide some video or something that can be looked at, then I'll take a look!
Just to reiterate though, the mod is supposed to teleport you back to the active primary spawnpoint (bed) you have bound to your character.
The error message you're getting is one that you would only get if your character does not have a valid bed assigned to them, that's why I said earlier that if you're getting this message, the game would equally not know where to respawn you in case you die.. as in, as far as the game is concerned that bed is not bound to you.
You could test this by removing your bracelet and checking whether your Bed appears as a selectable respawn point
The bed exists and I try to use the hearthstone I get from it and nothing happens. It tells me the bed does not exist.
I have tried several times. Nothing. I wish it did. I truly do but for some reason, on my games, it does not. i have tried on different games.
I am willing to walk you through it and show you. i wish it did work for me....
As for the second part, if it told you that you don't have any beds, then that means your character isn't actually bound to that respawn point... Maybe you interacted with a bed and then destroyed it afterwards, or if you're playing multiplayer another player could've used that bed to bind their character to it.
Bottom line, when you actually used the stone you did not have a bed bound to your character, meaning that if you would have died at that point, you could not select a bed as a respawn point either.
If you actually set up a real bed, not a temporary bedroll and use it so that your character is bound to it, then it will work fine.
This only gives the hearthstone only when interacting with an actual bed, not the hide sleeping bag/mat or whatever it is called, just an actual bed. As for The hearthstone, I could not get it to work. My character would do the motion and when done it would say there was no compatible beds. Even though the only bed on the map was the one I got the Hearthstone from.
No mods other than this mod. I use more but when experimenting I start with none.
As I said, I love the idea but for some reason I could not get it to work straight out of the box, so to speak.
In time if there are other things as well, I might add an option,
As such, I don't see being able to teleport home once an hour as a massive advantage.. however being able to take your whole house with you to the point where your character can't even move, it feels a bit wrong. Pretty much every single videogame draws the line there and disables fast travel when your inventory is overloaded. I'm already allowing an exception in case you have the relevant ingame perk allowing you to move at full speed overloaded :P
I think that's fair..
