@BlockCrusader I love the Mod and it was sometimes fun sometimes painfull doing a full playthrough only using the ability Class but its a Great Challenge
BlockCrusader  [author] May 23 @ 8:26am
@Duck, This has been asked about a couple times before, so here's an earlier reply:

"I wasn't planning on making an Arsenal add-on for Artificer, unlike the other class mods, given Artificer is themed around accessories while Arsenal is weapon-centric.
Artificer's Mario Badges kinda fills the role of '2nd add-on' for Artificer, and is frankly far larger than an Arsenal-cross content add-on would've been (In fact, AMB is bigger than Artificer's Accessories itself!). That said, I understand that a crossover themed mod isn't up everyone's alley."
Gordon Duckman May 23 @ 8:15am
will there be an arsenal expansion for this? I personally think this has enough content but it would be nice to see it have one for the sake of consistency.

how to get ace of hearts in this mod☹️
BlockCrusader  [author] Apr 20 @ 4:46pm
@Гриша Стартрек, I wasn't planning on making any cross-mod content
чернослив Apr 20 @ 12:29pm
Will there be fragment emblems for modded classes such as healer and bard?
BlockCrusader  [author] Apr 18 @ 5:30am
@HoneeyMoth, at the moment there isn't a wiki but I hope to make one over the course of Summer 2025.
In the meantime, Recipe Browser can be used to view all the crafting recipes and enemy drops. For NPC-sold items, I made a pinned discussion thread on this workshop page you can look at (Go to the Discussions tab at the top of this page).

Ace of Hearts is sometimes sold by the Travelling Merchant.
HoneeyMoth-(She/her) Apr 17 @ 7:27pm
Is there a place to learn where/how to get each item, second question, how do you get the ace of hearts?
Fusedneb Apr 11 @ 4:48pm
YOOO I love the new update :D I might use the goblin tech armor for capture disc playthroughs now lol
BlockCrusader  [author] Feb 19 @ 6:17am
@hk8, it should trigger upon getting a crit or a kill, with a 5 second cooldown.

Depending on how strong you are, you may be missing the mini-hearts because groups of enemies are being killed within 5 seconds of eachother, and/or enemies are killed before you get a crit.
pilotgrowsoffline Feb 18 @ 8:51pm
how often is the heartsurge charm supposed to proc? past a certain point in my playthrough the mini-hearts have stopped spawning for me
BlockCrusader  [author] Jan 30 @ 8:03am
@Hazard, you can find change notes in the Change Notes tab here on the Steam Workshop page (It's at the top, above the preview images and stuff).

@Галя Необьятная, I can't re-create the crash with the Weather Bottle. It might be a conflict caused by another mod, perhaps?

As for modded classes, I would like to try giving Artificer armor pieces extra cross-mod benefits with Healer, Bard, Thrower (As in Thrower in general, in theory this should affect all mods' thrower class), Capture (From my Capture Disc Class mod), and maybe Clicker. Wasn't planning on lunar-tier emblems for other classes.
TBH this slipped my mind (again) for the v1.3 update, but it's something I want to come back to sooner or later.
That said, I'm not sure how feasible this is as it's not very easy to interact with other mods' damage classes without making the mod a dependency (Which is undesirable since I want Artificer to still be able to be a standalone).
Hazard Jan 30 @ 7:37am
What is up with v1.3 jump? What is the update?
чернослив Jan 29 @ 2:19pm
btw, will there be compatability with modded classes as healer, bard, rogue to have its unique pillar emblems?

artificer like rainworld
Fusedneb Dec 14, 2024 @ 11:47am
ah makes sense
BlockCrusader  [author] Dec 14, 2024 @ 11:24am
@Fusedneb, that's because the Twin Shield internally uses the SoC's dash. Likewise, the Shadow Sneakers use the Tabi dash. The Phasestide boots, however, are custom - technically they're a teleport and not a dash - hence why dash hotkey mods don't work on it.
Fusedneb Dec 14, 2024 @ 11:16am
Hello again! I just realized that the phase stride boots are not compatible with dash hotkey despite the twin shield being compatible.
Fusedneb Dec 13, 2024 @ 9:48am
yee lol, Maybe it has only a set bonus?
2 defense and then +2 artificer slots for hallow
1 defense +2 slots and 5% less cooldown for chlorophyte?
BlockCrusader  [author] Dec 13, 2024 @ 9:25am
@Fusedneb, I think I had considered Hallowed/Chlorophyte pieces, but wasn't able to make them because the stats on the chestpiece and leggings were too strong for Artificer (since it has low base stats). I guess I could've put 'negative' stats on the headpiece, but that would feel kinda weird (Think about how Hallowed Hood gets made fun of constantly for only giving 1 defense)
Fusedneb Dec 13, 2024 @ 8:57am
@BlockCrusader Yeah that makes sense, still awesome mod, ive been working on a modpack for all your mods lol. Side note though, Missed opportunity to add hallowed and chlorophyte helmets lol, i feel like the sets just work so well with the concept of artificer. Overall good mod, i love the mechanics and am trrying to make addons for it now :D
BlockCrusader  [author] Dec 11, 2024 @ 2:26pm
@Fusedneb, I wasn't planning on making an Arsenal add-on for Artificer, unlike the other class mods, given Artificer is themed around accessories while Arsenal is weapon-centric.

Fusedneb Dec 11, 2024 @ 2:08pm
i would love an arsenal addon, maybe adding some weapons as accessories? like having the snatcher item shoot out around you or smthn
Warp Nov 29, 2024 @ 3:16pm
Really enjoying this mod. Love all the great new accessories to use. Just made the Helm of Omniscience. The RMB to zoom is kinda annoying when your at base since you can't click to see the NPCs. I'd suggest making this action a configurable hotkey or even just map it to the ability keybind.
!. Nov 21, 2024 @ 4:49am
yeah i already figured it had something to do with balancing and limitations but for example if you were to change it you shouldn't make it more than 2 because i can already see bosses getting melted by only just the needle barrage and missile strike as for the balancing you could probably nerf the damaging acc if used together but that's probably easier said then done cause i know next to nothing about modding and balancing but maybe it would be funny to add it as a config option to let people mess around with it and the quick swap strategy is actually pretty smart i'll see how that works thanks
BlockCrusader  [author] Nov 20, 2024 @ 6:57pm
@!., quoting a response to a similar question from earlier in the comments;
"you can only have one due to technical limitations, the ability system wasn't designed with multiple ability slots in mind.
Attempting to rework it to do so wouldn't be worth the effort, both due to the additional technical complexity involved, but also because of balancing implications; having multiple abilities could potentially be OP (Ex: Stacking a bunch of strong damage abilities and then just using them all at once to deal tons of damage to a boss before the fight even begins).

That said, even though you can only use one at a time, it isn't a bad idea to carry multiple and quickly swap between them to meet your needs. For example, you could start with an offensive ability, but also carry a healing ability that you can swap out to if you're running low on HP."
!. Nov 20, 2024 @ 2:29pm
is there no way to equip more than one accesory that have abilities and i can get why you might not be able to equip 2 damaging accesories but it would be nice to be able to equip a damaging one and one that buffs
BlockCrusader  [author] Nov 19, 2024 @ 5:49am
@!., there's no discord server, sorry. Ace of Hearts is rarely sold by the Travelling Merchant.
Some time in the future I want to try making a wiki(s) for my mods as a resource, though.
!. Nov 19, 2024 @ 5:17am
2 questions 1: is there a discord for all block's mods? 2: how do i get the ace of hearts item?
BlockCrusader  [author] Nov 10, 2024 @ 5:28am
@radioactivefoxsiddy, for some reason I only just now remembered this, but when I tested the Life Well to make sure it was working after you reported issues, I had to take my Healing Potions out of my Void Bag to get the effect to work.
If you keep your healing potions in your Void Vault/Bag, try keeping them in your main inventory instead.
That said, I would like the Life Well to work if the potion is in the Void Vault/Bag, I'm not sure why it doesn't ATM.
BlockCrusader  [author] Nov 7, 2024 @ 7:00pm
@Dexidus606, why wouldn't it be? Artificer isn't a support-focused class, the vast majority of its items only benefit their user (Though there are a couple that can interact with teammates), like the other vanilla classes. If anything, it plays better in singleplayer, since there might be visual desync issues in multiplayer.
Crouton Nov 7, 2024 @ 5:34pm
question, is it possible to play a solo artificer playthrough?
radioactivefoxsiddy Nov 7, 2024 @ 11:34am
i have no idea unfortunately, only thing i can think of is mod conflicts but i dunno
BlockCrusader  [author] Nov 6, 2024 @ 5:14am
@radioactivefoxsiddy, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens to be the case. I tested in singleplayer. Next time I get the chance I'll try in multiplayer. That said, I don't really have a clue as to why multiplayer would break it?
radioactivefoxsiddy Nov 6, 2024 @ 2:57am
the auto use on potions doesn't seem to be working, but may just be on multiplayer
BlockCrusader  [author] Nov 4, 2024 @ 4:29pm
@radioactivefoxsiddy, I just tested it myself and it seems to be working fine for me. What exactly isn't working for you?
radioactivefoxsiddy Nov 4, 2024 @ 2:29pm
the life well appears to be broken
BlockCrusader  [author] Oct 9, 2024 @ 8:51am
@r_baris_t, it is rarely dropped by Mothrons.

How can i get Lost Hero's Shield?
BlockCrusader  [author] Oct 8, 2024 @ 6:03am
@Vastenence, thx
Also, regarding Shining Point in Arsenal, it's drop rate is roughly the same as the Coin Ring so it's pretty rare. Probably rarer than the Greedy Ring components in light of the fact that you can shimmer those into each other. I'm working on Arsenal's final major content update right now so I'll make it more common.
Vastenence Oct 7, 2024 @ 11:15pm
I think the mod is perfectly balanced in terms of accessories, it's normal for some top performers and some less underwhelming ones that serves a different purposes like recovery, defense or utility. The Bulwark for example is fantastic for Destroyer when you just summon it since it all coils up and you swap to starplate blaster and aligned the worm in one line before blasting its many segments. Its all about swapping accessories and knowing what works best in different scenario which I think it's the testament to the the mods's purpose, jack of all trades for all situations.

Also I played your expanded arsenal and did a Spear only run (since i love spears) pretty fun that you added shockwave to most of the spears but man farming the dire point from pirates took so long since they drop so many furniture. Either wayl, love all of your mods, you seriously put out good quality and comphrensive mods!
BlockCrusader  [author] Oct 7, 2024 @ 8:58am
@Vastenence, agreed on all fronts.
Also I kinda forgot that Overcharged Arcanum can be pretty bad since its projectiles have a delay before homing, so if you're in a small space, they'll just run into a wall and get destroyed. In the future I'll reduce the delay on homing, and make the projectiles move more slowly beforehand. Either way it'll still be like the Missile Array and excel at open-air combat.
The tethers and Lifeline have always been kinda weak since their attack can miss, and their benefits are split between damage and recovery, I may buff them again, too.
Needle Barrage should have one of the best DPSs amongst post-Plantera abilities (accounting for its low cooldown) to reward the player since it's a risky, low-reach move. I'll double check to make sure that is still the case.
Missile Array is supposed to be a little bit underpowered since it has that strong, reliable homing. Ideal for open-air combat, like you said.
Vastenence Oct 7, 2024 @ 6:52am
As for balancing, I will say they are pretty alright. I never used the tether or lifeline since I need an offensive weapons. The stats boots and artificer armor would probably be okay in a normal run when you can use weapons but again, I never used it.

I will say the Needle Barrage, the upgrade of Assasin blade does feel a little underwhelming despite needing to farm Razorpine. The CD is short which is great but maybe make the visuals brighter because I can't really see if I hit my projectile streams. I like the Missile Launcher from Santa, good for open air battles but as a post-plantera accessory it's still a little weak and restrictive in caves.
Vastenence Oct 7, 2024 @ 6:48am
@BlockCrusader Personally I don't think so because of how the Starplate Blaster and its upgrade works, the large the surface area of an enemy, the more damage it does. Granted, I did this without using weapons but I heavily relied on Inferno and thorns potions to do this. The problem with Overcharged Arcanum was that it's homing capabilties is a little janky at times it somtimes just fly up and there's no other accesories that pierces which you kinda need for the destroyer. I will say its perfectly balanced because of its long CD of 30 seconds if I'm not mistaken. Now if you are able to stack Accessory Ability reductions then I will say we have a problem.

Personally, I think having both offensive and defensive accessories is great. I go full mobility and offensive if I can beat the boss comfortably and resort to full on defensive tactics if I can't like Moonlord, remember I'm not using weapons for this run so this is just a hard rule I set for my self.
