@DolphinCube, not really; every few months I sometimes - on a whim - just add a couple sounds I chanced upon, but that's it.
Someone made an unofficial suggestions thread already; you're free to leave suggestions there, but to be perfectly honest it's really unlikely they'll get added.
DolphinCube Apr 17 @ 11:58am
@BlockCrusader Wait is this mod still being worked on? Can there be a offical (or take a look at the unofficial) request thread?
BlockCrusader  [author] Feb 23 @ 6:19am
@a bucket. Yes, in the mod's config you can toggle every sound effect individually.

Near the bottom there are presets for turning all sounds on/off at once. If you want just one sound, I'd use the presets to turn them all off, and then turn the metal pipe back on.
a bucket. Feb 22 @ 7:41pm
Is there a way to disable certain sounds? i want every death sound to be metal pipe.
BlockCrusader  [author] Dec 2, 2024 @ 5:55am
Yeah it looks like the toggles for a bunch of the death sounds are mixed up (I.e. the toggle for a given sound is toggling a different sound and not the one it's supposed to). I'll fix that when I get the chance.
BlockCrusader  [author] Dec 2, 2024 @ 5:52am
@Soggy Butter, it's something I'd have to fix on my end. I probably accidentally made the Roblox Oof get toggled by the wrong config toggle, or forgot to implement the functionality of its toggle.
Soggy Butter Dec 1, 2024 @ 8:51pm
well if its a bug how do i go about fixing it
BlockCrusader  [author] Nov 19, 2024 @ 12:15pm
@Soggy Butter, I'm assuming you're using the config to disable sound effects? If so that's likely a bug.
Soggy Butter Nov 19, 2024 @ 11:13am
i just want it to play the snake death but no matter what i select it plays that annoying ass roblox oof sound and it will not change no matter what
BlockCrusader  [author] Sep 16, 2024 @ 5:00pm
@Ariel641, this issue has been reported before. I'm still not sure why it happens since that's just a simple content mod. Do there happen to be any errors related to either mod popping up in your log files?
Ariel Sep 16, 2024 @ 2:01pm
ok so for some reason this mod doesn't work with the player if you have "celeryman's more pets" installed.
the config that makes enemies and bosses play death sfx does works, but the player (neither the taunts) ones don't
ForgottenReaper Aug 16, 2024 @ 6:41pm
But I don't see the FALL meme sound.
BlockCrusader  [author] Aug 5, 2024 @ 4:54am
@MinecraftedMario, ah, thx for testing. If you happen to figure out which mod(s) exactly are causing the problem, lemme know. Usually there's nothing I can do on my end, but it's good to know just in case there is.
This can sometimes happen when other mods mess with death related hooks; it appears this mod never gets a chance to play its sounds in certain cases, depending on what other mods are doing with on-death stuff. Personally I've not encountered this issue, but's it been reported previously.
MinecraftedMario Aug 5, 2024 @ 2:26am
works on its own, must be a mod incompatibility
MinecraftedMario Aug 5, 2024 @ 12:48am
will do next chance i get
BlockCrusader  [author] Aug 4, 2024 @ 5:59am
@MinecraftedMario, I've been using it w/ tML's August release and haven't had any problems. Can you confirm the mod is up-to-date and isn't working when no other mods are active?
MinecraftedMario Aug 3, 2024 @ 7:36pm
latest update breaks this mod - visual and sound effects no longer play on any death, taunts no longer work, but killbinding is still fine
bitgen Jul 11, 2024 @ 7:09am
funni die audio lol
Vlad1Boy May 18, 2024 @ 12:45pm
@BlockCrusader i am confused with that too. Anyway, thank you for your attention and awesome mods)
BlockCrusader  [author] May 17, 2024 @ 4:00pm
@Vlad1Boy, other mods shouldn't be able to interact with this one unless they're messing with player death hooks, which is what this mod uses to cancel the vanilla sound and play its own. I'm not sure why a pet mod would do anything like that though, hmm...
Vlad1Boy May 17, 2024 @ 3:10pm
@BlockCrusader so i don't know why, but problem happens only when i turn on CeleryMan's More Pets mod. I've tried to turn on mods one by one and then discovered that sounds ain't work with this mod. Any idea how can this conflict could happen?
BlockCrusader  [author] May 16, 2024 @ 7:01pm
@Vlad1Boy, another mod updating shouldn't have any effect on this mod. It's worked fine for me. I'd check the config to make sure sounds are on. It'd also be a good idea to uninstall and re-install the mod (Unsubscribe, remove/delete it from your mods list in tMod (If it doesn't disappear after unsubing), and then resub).
Vlad1Boy May 16, 2024 @ 5:03pm
unfortunately, the mod has broke for me. no death sound or taunts playing now, even when use hotkey or taunt item. is there any chance another mods update may have broke it? last calamity update for example?
BlockCrusader  [author] May 1, 2024 @ 4:06pm
@a user, resource packs would probably make that easier, that way you don't have to worry about replacing Terraria's internal assets
a user May 1, 2024 @ 3:50pm
i can replace the death sound with the entire doom soundtrack using file explorer in the meantime
BlockCrusader  [author] Apr 30, 2024 @ 1:07pm
@a user, yea if custom sounds were to be implemented I'd need a system that allows players to replace sound files. It isn't possible by 'normal' means since a mods' files and assets are packaged together into a .tmod file in order to be used by tML. However, I know there are mods that generate new folders/files (Which users can interact with), so it isn't impossible. I just need to learn how to generate external folders - which users would place their sounds into - and access their contents.
a user Apr 30, 2024 @ 11:53am
i could replace a sound file or something (i dont mod idk how it works...)
BlockCrusader  [author] Apr 7, 2024 @ 5:33am
@Georg, wdym, a customizable death sound was never a feature in this mod.
I know a lot of people have asked for it, I just don't know how to implement it.
Georg Apr 6, 2024 @ 11:09pm
custom death sound does'th working
Purplewizard52 Mar 19, 2024 @ 8:50pm
I love this so much lol
Purplewizard52 Mar 19, 2024 @ 1:53pm
k cool i thought it was a hotkey or something
BlockCrusader  [author] Mar 18, 2024 @ 1:17pm
@Purplewizard, just activate in your mods list and it'll work on its own, causing FX whenever you die. You can use the config to toggle sounds and features individually and customize some other things.
Purplewizard52 Mar 18, 2024 @ 1:14pm
how do you use this?
BlockCrusader  [author] Feb 12, 2024 @ 6:43pm
Maybe in the future I'll rewrite the mod to be less hard-coded (and thus able to be easily extended via say, a Mod.Call) but it would be very low priority since I have bigger projects I'm focused on.
BlockCrusader  [author] Feb 12, 2024 @ 6:42pm
@tellio, if I knew how to make the sound assets folder accessible in the manner I described earlier than yeah it'd probably be possible (Though you'd have to use the same file names despite changing the noise), but once again I don't know how to do that sadly.

If you're a little modding-savvy then you could probably extract the source code and then build a version that replaces the sound effects with your own collection (Though that'd be alot of effort since you'd need your own placeholder sprites for what sprites do exist, and you'd have ~110 sounds to replace)
tellio Feb 12, 2024 @ 6:32pm
well I meant more replacing sound files within the mod itself instead of adding new ones. I tried poking around and couldn't figure it out, for now at least. Gotta say though, I'm surprised there are no HL1 scientist sound effects bwahaha
BlockCrusader  [author] Feb 11, 2024 @ 5:27am
@tellio, quoting my response to a similar comment from before, "allowing users to have custom sounds would be nice, but unfortunately I wouldn't know how to add it in. Even if I did, it'd probably require a re-write of the mod's systems, which would be a ton of work."

I know some mods add their own folders to the tML filespace so users can have more in-depth customization, but I don't know how to do that. I'm also not confident the current system for choosing and playing sounds would easily integrate custom sounds.
tellio Feb 10, 2024 @ 8:13pm
Is there a way to add your own sound effects? Maybe messing around in the files or something?
Destroyer Jan 10, 2024 @ 6:35am
add fire in the hole from geometry dash to the death sound effect list
minecraftgaming555 Jan 4, 2024 @ 12:25am
Dang, welp thats okay.
BlockCrusader  [author] Jan 3, 2024 @ 6:27am
@minecraftgaming555, sorry I'm not really taking suggestions for mods. Also I will note that dyes are actually one of the hardest things to make in tMod because they involve shaders, which can be very complicated and must be manually compiled and loaded in the mod.
minecraftgaming555 Jan 2, 2024 @ 11:23pm
Hey @BlockCrusader I thought of a cool idea of having blocks as a vanity and also having more dyes and block dyes that set the colour of your vanitys and armour and anything thats you can dye to the texture of wood or stone or different materials and blocks. -MinecraftGaming555
BlockCrusader  [author] Dec 6, 2023 @ 7:46am
@TSkillet, huh. Well it's only a minor issue so I don't think it's worth worrying about. Even so, I probably couldn't even fix it on my end since I'm already setting the PlaySound parameter to false in the proper tML death hook. Calamity must use that hook and set it to true for some reason, which apparently overwrites it being set to false.
TSkillet Dec 6, 2023 @ 7:43am
Hey just so you know Calamity causes the vanilla death effects to be played regardless of settings. Not sure why.
MinecraftedMario Dec 2, 2023 @ 10:15pm
you can toggle individual death effects in the config
minecraftgaming555 Dec 2, 2023 @ 9:38pm
so i can have only one sound effect or only 3 or random
minecraftgaming555 Dec 2, 2023 @ 9:37pm
Can you make it so there is an option to choose through certain sound effects or just choose one
McHaletheScott Nov 15, 2023 @ 12:19pm
can we get the Library of Ruina death sound + effect
BlockCrusader  [author] Oct 26, 2023 @ 4:28pm
@AWPrentice, quoting my response to a similar comment from before, "allowing users to have custom sounds would be nice, but unfortunately I wouldn't know how to add it in. Even if I did, it'd probably require a re-write of the mod's systems, which would be a ton of work."
AWPrentice Oct 26, 2023 @ 4:22pm
you should add a thing where you can put your own sound effect
