@Raiden21ns They mean unsubscribe with SFM open. It'll ask if you would like to uninstall the unsubscribed item. Click the check mark beside the Mimic's name and hit okay. Then, close SFM then open it back up. Once that's done, come back here and subscribe to the item here. SFM will tell you that a new item has been installed. If it asks if you would like to override any materials, just say yes to all. THEN! Close SFM once again to let the model load, then open it back up and start a session, get a map, all that good stuff, and THEN look for the model and spawn it in. It SHOULD work by now. I have to do this every time a model I download doesn't wanna work with me.

Something probably went wrong when downloading, uninstall it completely and redownload it

It says that the model is not in MDL format file.

Unsubscribe and resubscribe a few times, SFM is funky like that, there are pinned discussions on some of my other ports that go further into detail

Well, I guess that makes sense. I also kind of don't like that cheek foam- it's a bit distracting from the rest of his face.

The model and texture work are done well, but some parts- could have been done better.

Anyone else think that?

They're modeling Mimic after the book's description that's why it looks like that.
Animatronics designs in the books are Cheap and Simple

Am I the only one who really doesn't like the Mimic's official model? It makes me think the Devs tried to make that puppet from the Outlast Trial.

seeing the model doesnt really spoil it. also, am i the only one that thinks the official mimic model looks strange?
