Has anyone tried this one with 1.6 yet? Somehow, I feel like it would work without much issue. AFAIK, there was no big changes for the pawns in this DLC.

@B333SSS well havent seen them, never i must say, have a bit of factions but ive seen alot of them except this one and im not havin error logs so... yeah, but alot of time and not a single one on sight, but yeah theres a faction on the map dont know if its probabilty or something or they are extremely rare as the thrumbos

I kinda want the icon outfit in game now, but waiting on mods to update. Also, Makura had weird psychic links with her two orangutans I think. And did try to assault the protagonist.

Or you could just take their DESIGN and create your own lore and traits for them, wouldn't be the first creator to do that. :)

Problem is, it's a Shounen manga, so anything from there will just be combat-oriented

The tiger lady, for instance, is just faster and stronger
The horse guy is just faster and stronger
The lion dude is just faster and stronger
The bat bro was just faster I'm pretty sure
The elephant man was tougher and stronger

It might get a bit boring if every Xenotype inspired from the series is just 'fast/strong warrior guy'
The only interesting thing I could give them is that brain eating symptom, and some cool graphics, but that's it unless I get real loose with the parallels.

Makura is simply BEST MONKE, no other design has ever been as good as her. And yes, I noticed your inspiration right away :D

Maybe make a new xenotype based of the Tiger Lady with four tiddies?

I completely forgot the Planet of the Apes mod existed. Back in B18, I was focused more on 40k mods.

The old movie was definitely a part of the inspiration, but I think Makura from Kouya ni Kemono Doukokusu should be the more obvious reference. I might possibly consider adding more from that manga tbh, we'll see.

I liked the old xenotype icon better, great mod though. I really like planet of the apes alien race mod and this has filled the gap for it.

OK, I did some more testing in case it was some other Gene my characters had, but no luck. Even if I put it on a baseliner with nothing else, if the body type is Hulk or Fat, it does that.

Are you sure it's not Facial Animations Experimental? I had a problem with that resizing the heads. Only the default Facial Animation WIP works.

OK, something's not working right with the noses of SAR Hulk and Fat type bodies, both male and females. Nose is rendering like too low and too forward.

I thought it might be a Nal's issue, but then I noticed that the Standard and Thin ones looked OK. Not sure if it's something I might be able to adjust on my side.

Love the look of the new Semi-Furskin, tho.

I went ahead and lowered their sleepiness as it was something that I felt was too much in my testing, but I wasn't sure how other's felt about it.

The Facial Animation mod really doesn't like head-swapping with non-HAR races but I've made a patch to add the nose attachment back. I've also noticed that the old nose covered the mouth so I fixed that.

IMHO, their sleepiness counters that. Sure, they're very fast... when not going to sleep :P

And man, I hope the Facial Animation patch works well for you... this is LITERALLY the only race that looks good on Nal's that isn't just some anime catgirl.

The (now) head gene and ears are separate, as are the sideburns. I'm really just changing the nose attachment to a headshape. I'm struggling with a Facial Animation patch though.

Since this mod mostly runs off the Biotech genes, there shouldn't be too many problems with future Rimworld updates, but I'll test a lot before release. The drawbacks are intentional, I felt like the massive manipulation bonus this race gets would make them overpowered if they could also shoot/craft/mine/etc. They're meant to be good in melee, not everything involving their hands.

As long as the new head and the ears are still two separate genes (I like to "mix and match" with genes to create different unique races) and it works fine with NL, I'm happy.

The hairs we have are pretty good, though some other modded ones work on them too. I'm wondering if they'll work with SAR, given 1.5 is supposed to add more layers and that, but that's way beyond my expertise. Otherwise, pretty good work. I think they might have a little too many drawbacks but that's subjective, and I can always just genemod that. Will the two-tone follow a specific pattern, or?

I didn't like how the nose clips and creates a weird shadow sometimes, so I'm working on making that a head gene, rather than a 'nose'
I didn't like how the body was just the furskin body, so I've made it two-toned instead, I might try to draw a new body entirely. We'll see.
I'd also like to add more hairs, but that could be a future addition. It depends on how long my patience lasts after the first two priorities.
