This is amazing. I use a modded bench to move it away from the dock a bit but it pieces together and has been awesome for me. amazing details too, good work!

I have a weird problem where when the ship tries to build itself the anchors stop pulling the front section together and it just sways to the side same as bullet

There was a physics update to ropes, and for some reason they will pull away. I have made fixes, but it still fails from time to time. I recommend respawning it. Eventually it should work.

I updated the crane. It should be working a lot better now. You can now use the crane with low physics as well.

@cmead88, the I-400 was a real sub but by the time the Japanese started using it it was the end of the war. (1945 Dec - Sep 1945)

got to love physics bugs. i know my own share given i messed about making a lifter truck that soemwhat works. it just... it never could use more then 2 connectors on the bottom of a container before it fliped out and destroied its self basicly. shitty made but im still proude of it. it was a rail based system, based on a sliding system with a hinge. so it gave physics some angry responces :P wish ya luck with the guns and nice to know some insight there. also factor i failed to return to the i-400 because me and landing jsut never get alone in stormworks. i always find a way to breack something. :\ but maybe a neet idea to make a rescue plane for no real reasion then a funny idea i just had but ramblings over imma do dishes before i sleep even if its 5 in the morn :P

Thanks a bunch. For the side connector on the bombs. It was engineered like that because of the reloading system, and parts of the plane not having enough room for a top connector. unfortunately the auto pilot can't be fixed, because the planes are actually under the influence of a slight physics bug from the folding parts. Making it always slightly ascend. Eventually it will zero out a altitude. It will just climb for a bit before it does, and for the guns. I re positioned them on the nose to help lower the affects of that physics bug to make flying a little easier. I may continue to mess around with gun placement to find a better spot.

well thing is im crazy and ran it the ENTIRE way on high. loved every moment of it btw makes me dream of if the Uboat game would be like if we could have a I400 style game on it as its the late age of that era of subs. also tried bombing with ya zero (my aim sucks no suprise) and i watched a ship get krackened. funny shit from so high up. also learned ya can shot ya own propers. but she flew well with damage so, survivable. my only complaint about the zeros was the alt hold kind of did not work it held ya direction but ya did keep climbing.

as for final thoughts i just mearly question on why ya got the bomb connected by the side instead of the underside of the plane (top connection node) but lovly work on the auto assembly i was a joy watching it merge tograther with out doing no more then spawning it.

Ya, it can be a pain sometimes lol. You can run most of the sub on low physics setting which can help with performance a lot.

got to love when updates screw ya fucking builds in some fassion. like ruined pumps. but OH GOD im proably gonna try this... and melt my poor ancient rig (its like 2015 or something in terms of power)

It actualy does not have pumps anymore lol. The pump system put the sub over the block limit breaking the sub after the space update. Now it uses a physics manipulating system. In the Telegraph room There is a keypad and key. It should say something about auto dive. Just put in your desired depth. No - required, and turn the key on. The sub should do the rest.

That's true, When I was working on this sub originally. I was going to add pylons to the planes. Using a auto loading bay that would attach them before the planes took off. Unfortunately, stormowrks has some gnarly physics issues, and the game didn't like that, so I scrapped that design, and came up with something simpler to make it more functional.

I am actually in the middle of making a deployable and returnable tank system for my USS Atlas build. I was looking into making a sister ship more designed for logistics and landing operations. Like deployable ground drones, and cargo drones.

Also, If the Sub is not building itself. I did update it, so you might need to unsubscribe and re subscribe, because it might not be updating.

For some reason, even in deep water, the nose of the submarine pitches extremely downward, resulting in the bow not being able to assemble with the rest of the ship. Is there any fix to this?

Oh ya. The torpedoes are sonar guided. They will follow the direction of the periscope for 15 seconds. Then switch to sonar search. Once they do, they will seek out the loudest sound, so it’s recommended to fire torpedoes when you are not moving.

The sub actually does not use ballast. It uses a type of reverse flying tire glitch system that I came up with. The ballast system caused the sub to go over the block cap, so I came up with a new system. I can fire up the game, and see whats going on with it.

i am using the auto dive keypad but it struggles to go below 40 because there is not enough water in the ballast and i noticed a ballast level dial in the telegraph room so im am wondering if there is a way to fill it up more. also thanks for replying so fast i appreciate the help.

It should be the keypad in the center of the telegragh room. It should say auto dive. Set a depth there, and turn the key on above it. I hope this helps. If not. Something may have broke, and I might need to look into it again lol
