This is a great Mod! i wish though it was usable with rajas of asia or AEP since curated colors for those mods would look awesome with it all joined together

@Cement Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to have to completely change the code for this mod, since it also changes the Kingdom names and what empires they're dejure part of. I think I'll update it within a week or two.

This mod changes the capitals of kingdoms for some reason. Italy, Jerusalem, Egypt, Syria, Norway and possibly others

H.I.P is a great mod for ck2 that overhauls the game and they added changed all the kingdom colors and stuff that's what my colors are inspired by and some other things

Hi really like this mod can I use some of these files for my own version?

I'll update this when the new Persia DLC comes out, and fix a few issues with some names being wrong or cultural names compatibility; however I don't think I'm going to do additional versions for other mods since that would just be too much work. Also as far as load order, you would want this to come first at the top of the load order so that more important mods come after. Thank you everyone for the support so far!

Seljuk color is too much like the ERE color to me, maybe this color is only better for a zoroastrian persia, but not for a islamic persia

It seems this mod isn't working well together with More Cultural Names, which is a damn shame as I've really gotten used to it recently. I wonder if there is any way to fix this

+1 on making a version for AEP, a lot of kingdoms and empires in the far east have colours that are a bit too saturated or too bright for the eyes if you know what I mean. I made a personal version for AGOT and it works pretty well but for some reason AEP isn't playing nice

@Austriaco I've put it at the very bottom of my load order before but it still doesn't work, I'm really not sure why.

@Exend, Since you're the first and only person I'm aware of with issues, I can confidently say that the mod would not be causing issues standalone. You should try running it on its own, see if it still doesn't work; then try reinstalling it if it isn't working on its own. If it is incompatability with another mod, feel free to share what mod that is.

@Vander I set the 'Seljuk Color' as the dejure Persian Empire to be the color (literally called) Persian-Indigo lol. But I see your point and you're into the first person to ask for this so I'll try adjusting Persia & Byzantium a little-bit in the opposite direction each to help differentiate them better. I'll try and do that this week!

It just doesn't work for me. Is this incompatible with any mods? I don't have any mods that change map colours, I believe.

Great mod! I really like most of your color choices and it gives the game a slightly new flavor. You should update the Seljuk color so it is less similar to the Byzantine's shade of purple though.

not sure if this is an issue cuz i've added it midgame but it flipped cultural names like Al-Sarq or Alba to Valencia and Scotland

@Mindfr3k24 I really appreciate the praise! I never really play with AEP since I am typically running the More Provinces Expanded mod and they're not compatible since they both change the map (as far as I know at least). I'll look into it though.

Could you make a mod that works with AEP? This mod looks great, and you have a must-have mod for every playthrough. Only one modder has made a graphic mod for it, but yours is the only one who can do it justice.

I've been trying to find something like this for a long time, every time I tried to edit the landed_titles myself it would crash, so this is great. Will it cause problems between future game updates?

Are there any surviving Rashtrakuta or Chalukya banners, because if so I am not aware? The Mango is a better symbol than an arbitrary dark red anyway, as the Marathi language still existed at this time. Regardless it makes more sense to give them a more unique color to stand out. India should not be treated like European duchies where they're all part of a single oversized Kingdom but rather more like a Kingdom. At this time Hindustan alone was richer than all of Europe combined and yet India as a whole is on-par with just the HRE ingame. If I made every Indian country Saffron they'd all look the same. Why is this something you want so badly?

Same goes for marathas they have nothing do with ck3, at that time maharashtra was part of kannada empires like Rashtrakuta and chalukyas

What has sikhs to do with CK3? Also Kesari a kind of Saffron/Orange is more associated with sikhism than navy blue. So even old color made perfect sense. Anyways it is a mod whatevver suits you, atleast not for me.

The colors of each region/Kingdom were not dependent on another Kingdom's. These colors are to represent the Kingdom itself & the people living in it. I am predominantly using a warmer color palette to give the map as a whole more cohesion however there are occasional Kingdoms like France, Daylam, Galicia etc that historically use Blues or cool colors. Also want to add Myanmar was also always represented with Red & Sri Lanka with a pale blue-green.

Punjab's blue to represent the Sikhs who predominantly make up the region. Rajputana is a khaki color because that was how I found historically the region was represented on maps. Delhi was originally beige which did not represent its position as more or less the face of Hinduism; so it's Saffron. Maharashtra is represented with a mango-like orange and used that as their flag when they were a Kingdom. Bangladesh, Bihar, Telingana, Gujarat & Soomra now have greens representing them & distinguishing them better from their neighbors. There's no reason for India to blend together and be difficult to distinguish either; you don't see that in Europe? Himilayas & Kashmir are represented by Red & White and this also provides a greater contrast. You keep saying it doesn't represent any history associated with them but you could actually elaborate what colors you think they should be & why if your goal here is to better educate & improve this mod and their representation in the game.

Vanilla Indian colors were perfect, Idk why is Punjab Blue? Rajputana White? Colors just are all over the place without any sense of pattern or any history associated with them. Vanilla colors blended perfectly with each other and Empire titles they are part of.

I liked it! I would only suggest a better contrast between the Byzantines and Seljuks.

I like your blue Scotland, anything over that depressing vanilla mustard.

If you believe legend the blue/white Saltire dates from the mid 9th century, and the yellow Royal Banner of Scotland is much later like the 13th century iirc, so blue is more appropriate imho because I'm all for Legend, or just because it looks so much better for the eyes!
