wance only instance where that happens is if combination of 2 light pets are meaningless. Ex:

Lets say all 3 qualities are max 10.
A pet has 8-5-3 qualities.
B pet has 6-1-3 qualities.
C pet has 1-6-1 qualities.

You will not be able to combine A and B together since the result will be 8-5-3, which is same as A, so you just would be wasting money, but you can combine A and C, as result would be 8-6-3.

I dont know if im doing it wrong or if the the function doesnt currently work but in the "Combine Light Pets" section in the Pet Tamer NPC i try to combine 2 light pets of the same variety but it wont let me. I tried putting 2 Shadow Orbs and the texts stays the same but when i put in 2 Non-Light pets the texts tells me that they arent pets.

How does the Dog Whistle work? I'm catching critters and getting extras but I don't notice any coins on catch or on enemy kill at all

Please add vanity pets because currently spiffo is my best pet for my ranger build but the brain in a jar is by far my favorite pet

LittleMcTiddies thats a very old bug and is been fixed for a very long time (EXCEPT Atherius Mod still can cause errors upon breaking Trees, there is nothing I can do about that, I've bug reported on their discord server and their Owner still haven't responded for a extremely simple fix & they have no GitHub to commit.)

I was just curious, there used to be a bug where if I started a world with this mod and broke a tree the game instantly froze, did anyone else have that problem by chance??

Alu[GH] Sadly no, we do not. I prefer to keep them on par with what the Pet is and define a purpose & characteristic for the pet with these effects. Plus, would be difficult to assign even more effects per Pet. (There still are a few exceptions to stuff I said though)

Stars thank you 🙏 for the base mod, absolutely not, mainly because I know Mod already adds Powercreep, that would cause even more, plus, it is guaranteed to come with unintended side effects. Is there an option to change the effects of a pet? I ALWAYS walk around with the dino pet from the amber mosquito, but I don't really need its effects at all. They're nice, of course, but redundant for me haha.

I Remembered I am glad you love the mod!

I will look into it, but currently, you can type /pet vanity for instructions on how to use Vanity Pets without any modifications to the game

Love the mod, would be awesome if there was a way to add a vanity slot for pets, i find myself using pets for their benefits but prefer the look of other ones. Especially with calamities vanities as those dont have any benefit. Thanks for your work!

DylanIGuess its possible mainly because Pets Overhaul tracks blocks broken/placed etc. on a list, but could you give more context regarding this? It would be very unusual for lag to occur while not really doing anything or while not mining & placing blocks etc. (Also make sure fps count is going down, I will need to be able to replicate myself to fix the matter)

Is this mod suppose to work with recipe browser? It doesn't seem to be populating a lot of the pets unless you search directly with an item in the recipe

Alright, yeah I would say that a screen bar of sorts for these things would be nice (even tho I have like 5 of them from other mods, small size would be nice), or like visual effects of the pet (like the bugs from beetle armour)

Menty28 Spider Brain Pet does mention in its tooltip how filled its "bar" is. For robotic skull, you can check out your Pet Ability Cooldown; if its fully ready, that means all 5 shields are ready to go. If you have 50 seconds ready on the cooldown out of 125 seconds, that would mean 2 shields are ready 👍

I think last thing that comes to mind, I figured the brain in a jar pet has its own bar that fills up and from it I leech, where can I see how full it is, or for the robotic skull where can I see the amount of shields I own

When using the robotic skull I got it to around 125 cooldown, is it because all the shields regenerate at once or as the cooldown goes down they get added in order

Currently there isnt any, but its planned to have accessories in future that can increase pets stats.

Yes, the lower your health gets, more shields can activate.

Yes, posessed skull still takes into account of all hit effects etc., but the DoT effect itself ignores enemy armor.

Ah gotcha, are there any pet stats that can increase the 7m radius? Also the robotic skull says the shields are available at certain tresholds, does this mean the amount of them, if so is it more the lower HP you have or otherway around?

Yeah then if you dealt 100 dmg, 1% of it is 1%. 100 defense gets multiplied by 1.25(The damage reduction) which is 125. Then u get 1% of that, which is 1.25 life recovery.

The first part is what eludes me, how the lifesteal is applied to % of defense, how are these two related. Maybe to make it easier lets say I have 100 dmg, 100 armour and 25% damage reduction

Menty28 lifesteal's % amount is based on your damage, and the amount to apply that % is based on your def & DR.

7 blocks is basically if you drew a line in any way, that line would be 16x7 pixels long (1 block = 16 pixels)

when Pet is equipped, there are circle-dusts, you can see the radius that way anyways so it should be fine 👍

Simple put: if enemy is near, you apply Cursed Flames + heal with your defense

if enemy is away, deal %hp damage, lowered vs. bosses.

Nyahaha normally you need a Pet equipped at least once, if you cannot get him settling in, let me know, there may be a bug we are currently investigating
