i dont know if something is wrong or not but t2 and higher work for set up but only t1 arnt working having both the t1 research and the repair stims more than likely its a modding issue on my end

@joker57clay: You need to have T1s unlocked to set them up. Additionally, you need two repair stims (made at machining bench) to connect the artificial brain to the body.

hi i have a pretty big question/ problem tier 1 androids and all of the red drones workers and warriors whether i craft or buy them they come blank but there is no operation for them to install artificial brain, i have tried all the operations to see if the will make them start working but nothing

Oh, so it's just changing the defnames? It sounded like you were saying there's a bit more to it than that. I suppose I should just diff the mod folders to see exactly what has changed, if it isn't actually all that much.

You would need to check the def name of the thing in MH, find the equivalent in ABF and do a find and replace in your save. Unlike ATR to MH, for which I already made a guide (that you can find on Discord), unfortunately, there isn't a transitionary version of ABF.

Really?? That makes it even more incomprehensible that it isn't just a continuation of the same mod, but I'm completely comfortable working with save files if you have a link to a forum post or whatever explaining what changes need to be made.

If you don't mind getting your hands dirty a little, you can just do some save-editing. The changes from MH to ABF are purely cosmetic as far as players are concerned. The defNames changed, and a few values were tweaked, but the rest should be compatible.

I just wish I had the skills to fix it for 1.5, so I wouldn't have to go through my 1.4 saves and decide which ones are going to have to lose their mechanical members, and which are just unsalvageable due to being 100% mechanical. Sadly while I have the XML skills, C# modding is a mystery to me.

It's so sad that this got abandoned. I really loved the Android Tiers mods, but with them always getting abandoned every time there is a new main version and DLC, I can't see why anyone would play the new versions. Newcomers who don't know the modder's history, I guess.

@Mojibble: You can still do that. You use the M1-3 instead. Or just use some of the T1s to make components nonstop. It's no more resource-intensive, it just takes longer.

@*BIG JOE* Drug Lab or Biofuel Refinery. The latter is more time-efficient.

@LiterallyJustKris: There will be no more tiers, but what used to be the T5 could become a new role. Probably not with the next revision though, because it is planned for a future sub-mod/module.

Are there any plans to bring back the Tier Five android? I'm new to the Rimworld modding scene, and this mod clearly has jumped through a lot of hoops, so there's no judgement. I'm just curious as to what happened to it?

Glad to hear you're working on this! ATR was mind-blowing when I tried it early last year. There are still plenty of other Anomaly runs I can do in the meantime, so take your time! Looking forward to 1.5 compat :steamhappy:

@Target: I mean, we could do that, but that'd only add unnecessary complexity, especially since we couldn't rely on the stuff's stat modifiers, since they don't apply to pawns, only apparel and weapons.

If you want to improve your androids' hull, try giving them framework upgrades.

Have you tried to make the android recipes from different metals? Like instead of a fixed recipe with steel, make it from "metallic" stuff? Does it break the game/mod, do the Androids take on the properties of the metal, like color, def/hp and so on?

@NymNepNep: Mod confilct. If applied by another source, remove it with devmode and avoid it happening in the future. If it happens from combat, send us a hugslog.

@I.T.: Base-game issue. Nothing we can do about that, but Ludeon fixed it for 1.5.

@Rosen Ritter: That mod hasn't been updated for 1.4. It's likely their issue. Without a hugslog, we cannot help you further.

@Apache: Feature. Remove the core first. ( (Reivive) > Capture > Remove core via surgery)

@Gearhammer: Give them time off. It's done when organics would do meditation. (Recreation time slot). And set the slider to >50%. Average maintenance rises with time.

Using Crash landing, ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=730384702) if I have a droid (t1) in the initial list, nobody will spawn at all, the initial chunks won't drop, and the game will then think everyone's dead. If I remove my ideology, the drone and the rest spawn. Remove the drone, everyone else spawns. I one-time got an error message about it trying to spawn clothing (Specifically panties from underwhere) on the drone for some reason, and it failing to do so, but beyond that I can't twig the reason. It shouldn't be trying to spawn any particular clothing on them anyway, my ideology doesn't mandate it. I'm kinda bewildered as to what could be causing this.

Please could you make your implementation of tending check the pawn's inventory for medicine before searching for medicine somewhere on the ground? The way it currently works leads to some difficulties with mods that let pawns carry medicine on them.

@Pappi_Rabbi: Oh, that. Their initial colour is randomised. If you want a different one, repaint them with a surgery.
