@Jack Ravenwood Good to know, thank you for the quick replay =)
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Feb 21 @ 1:34pm
@Dragontamer997 I haven't tested it at all with B42 yet, but I know it changes quite a lot of fundamentals with how this sort of mod works, so I suspect it will not work - I will port it over once the MP is live!
Dragontamer997 Feb 21 @ 1:28pm
@Jack Ravenwood Would this work on B42 as is or would it need an update?
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Feb 15 @ 8:02am
@idealturk

Thank you, glad it's working out for you!

@Django

Apologies for the delay. To answer your questions:

Time isn't a factor, the most prominent factor is killing. So, for example, you may get a 0.01% increase in drop chance per kill (configurable) up until Zombex drops and then it resets the % chance once again.

The increase adds to the default drop rate.

Hope that helps!
idealturk Feb 15 @ 7:27am
I tested the mod and it works great. There were alternative mods but they create zombies. Also this mod is adjustable. The sound effect is also very nice. Thank you for your work.
Django Nov 12, 2024 @ 5:24am
Hello Jack, few questions
how is the increase over time calculated?
How much time would have to go by for the increase to trigger?
And would the increase add to the default droprate like
Droprate = Default + Increase
Or
Droprate = Default + (default / increase)?

Thank you for the mod

Thanks so much!

@Obi Wan Kenobi

You should be able to call the item using Zombex.Zombex
Obi Wan Kenobi Jul 7, 2024 @ 8:28am
Hi, can you let me know what the name of the item is called on the server side? I am currently using Zombomb and I want that special infected to always drop Zombex as a unique item for killing that special infected without him burning. base.zombex etc? I have confirmed that the infection is removed I was just not running it on a dedicated server that was my issue.
Khanan Mar 19, 2024 @ 9:08am
Alright well it did stop the infection at least... I will wait for a moment !
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Mar 18, 2024 @ 10:04am
@Khanan so the bite wound still counts as a bodily injury, the Zombex just prevents Zombification from that particular bite. You'll need to treat the wound as any other to prevent infection (clean bandages, alcohol, etc...)

Bites do tend to take a while to heal up too.

Bear in mind Zombex doesn't function correctly in single player though.
Khanan Mar 18, 2024 @ 4:06am
Hello there, i cured from being bitten with zombex, but i still have the bitten wound, will it go away over time or do i have to cheat to remove it ?
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Dec 2, 2023 @ 5:50pm
@rteixeirapI can't promise anything but I'll look into how plausible it would be for me to write :)
sannyasa Dec 2, 2023 @ 4:19am
Thanks for the reply! Oh, I understand... Please, when you have time and patience, please consider a port to singleplayer! I think me and a lot of others will be very pleased. Your mod is the best of the style! It is too difficult? Probably I can try something to contribute, with your acceptance and permission, of course.
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Dec 1, 2023 @ 5:54pm
Hey rteixeirapl! Unfortunately it doesn't work too well (or sometimes at all) on singleplayer - it generally needs to run on a dedicated server - apologies.
sannyasa Dec 1, 2023 @ 1:13pm
Hi, Jack! Thanks for taking care of the mod! Just an update. Today, I got bitten by a zombie and used Zombex. Unfortunatelly, it doesn`t stopped the zombification :( Strange, because I`ve tried before and it worked. Singleplayer here. Thank you!
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 24, 2023 @ 4:34am
Not at all! Anything that allows more configuration for server hosts I'm open to! (As long as I have technical skill and the game allows it to exist.)

The way I had the mod handle the hunger cost before is really different to the way it needs to handle it when allowing users to configure it, but once I've nailed that I can add in the option for configuring health (and potentially other options) too!

It'll take a minute though as I need to make sure I can get it stable before pushing it out again
Obi Wan Kenobi Nov 24, 2023 @ 4:26am
Okay great, hopefully my feedback isn't tiring take all the time you need!

This is the only anti zombification mod that i'm planning on using so i'm glad you're so open to feedback :)
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 24, 2023 @ 2:34am
(Temporarily reverting the version so Zombex still works, just until I can figure out why the update isn't functioning)
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 24, 2023 @ 2:25am
Hmm, that's very odd. Let me dig into it!
Obi Wan Kenobi Nov 24, 2023 @ 12:17am
Hi, i've done some testing after the update and i'm no longer being cured of the zombification, I also don't have the pain options.

I've done a number of tests and i still progress through anxious, to quesy all the way to fever until I get zombified.

When you have a moment can you confirm if the zombex still removes the zombification?

I don't have any other zombification cures installed.
Obi Wan Kenobi Nov 23, 2023 @ 4:09pm
Excellent update, thanks for implementing the additional effect!

Awesome mod!
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 23, 2023 @ 9:28am
@Obi Wan Kenobi

Those options should show up in the newest update (that was my bad with a syntax error)
Obi Wan Kenobi Nov 22, 2023 @ 8:27pm
Great stuff! i'll test it as soon as I can.

Do I need to unsub and resub to get the latest version? I have launched the game but all of the sandboxvars are the same so I don't think the update has downloaded.
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 22, 2023 @ 4:25pm
@Obi Wan Kenobi

Updated - you should now be able to set the percentage of hunger and/or damage from using Zombex in the sandboxvars under the following:

hungerPercentage=
damagePercentage=

(1 =100%, 0.1=10%)
Obi Wan Kenobi Nov 22, 2023 @ 3:04pm
Excellent thank you!

I've subscribed to the thread i'll keep an eye out for any updates :)
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 22, 2023 @ 11:38am
@Obi Wan Kenobi

I can definitely add an option so players can define how much hunger/pain etc (if any) they want taking the cure to cause. Let me look into it :)
Obi Wan Kenobi Nov 22, 2023 @ 10:58am
I love this mod, really adds to having people want to fight the zombies and not auto killing themselves when they are infected.

Would it be possible to make taking the cure to cause pain instead of hunger? I think in roleplay terms it's like the virus is being flushed out of your system but is causing the pain moodlet (no damage).

Again, wonderful mod!
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 18, 2023 @ 10:12am
No worries, enjoy!
sannyasa Nov 18, 2023 @ 10:09am
Amazing! Thats exactly what I think is the best configuration! Thank you one more time, my friend!
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 18, 2023 @ 3:44am
Hey @rteixeirapl - the additional hunger is just temporary for immediately after ingesting it. It *shouldn't* last indefinitely, but if you notice it does (or any other bugs), just let me know in the Discussion tab :)
sannyasa Nov 17, 2023 @ 6:59pm
Hi, thanks for Zombex! Just a question: how the "hunger" works? After using Zombex, my character will be forever having a penalty of +1 for hunger? Or is only at the process of cure, and later became normal again?
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Nov 4, 2023 @ 9:04am
It can only be found on the zombie's bodies at the moment
Scr@ppy Nov 4, 2023 @ 8:33am
Where are the common places for the cure to spawn?
rocky Jul 27, 2023 @ 12:13pm
blud think he zombrex
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Jul 19, 2023 @ 7:44am
@Runnie_M That's right, yep. It's generally best to wait for symptoms if you're scratched or lacerated, but unless you're using a method that changes the bite zombification chance, you're best drinking it right away.

Bear in mind bites still take a good while to recover from using the default settings and not having appropriate traits that may speed up healing considerably.
Rookie_M Jul 18, 2023 @ 4:16pm
if i was bitten i just have to drink it right?
Yalom68 Jul 16, 2023 @ 8:55pm
Never mind, found it, thanks! :)
Yalom68 Jul 16, 2023 @ 7:38am
Is there a variable setting the drop-chance in the Sandbox-file? If so, I can't find it. Or do I need to add one?
Haxxor bunny Jul 6, 2023 @ 2:06pm
oh got it thanks
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Jul 6, 2023 @ 12:00pm
@Haxxor bunny using the sandbox vars file in your dedicated server settings.
Haxxor bunny Jul 4, 2023 @ 11:07am
how do you configure the settings?
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Jul 1, 2023 @ 1:45pm
@Friedrich Engels That's very odd. There isn't anything that should be affecting zombie corpses here at all. Are you using any other mods that affect zombie loot or zombie spawns?
Friedrich Engels ☭ Jul 1, 2023 @ 7:22am
I think I have a problem with zombies disappearing when theri loot table is generated after being killed. Any idea what the problem might be?

Been running with a very narrow near vanilla modlist.
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Jun 24, 2023 @ 4:20am
@Buster It should work in existing saves as it spawns once a Zombie's loot table is generated
Avery Jun 23, 2023 @ 8:13pm
Hey, does this mod spawn the cure in already made saves? or will I have to make a new save.
Jack Ravenwood  [author] Jun 14, 2023 @ 9:29am
@Road Dog It's still working fine on my server and appears to be on countless others. Can you provide a little more information in a new discussion topic about what specifically isn't working?

To be thorough, a modlist would be ideal along with any server logs.
Jack Ravenwood  [author] May 18, 2023 @ 11:18am
New update posted: Mod should function as normal again now. (Endurance penalty boolean was causing an issue, will revisit this as an option for players to use.)
WyldeFyres May 18, 2023 @ 8:44am
Still issues. Posted in discussions. Hope the error helps.
