@mirodo Puddles and I who did most of the warband upgrades for SFO and Radious have found Cross Race to be difficult to maintain compatibility with. I hope that down the road I can figure out how to alleviate this issue, but it is currently outside of my ability.


Similar to Cataph's issue. I find myself unable to address his issue with the mod at the moment. I need to reference his units in a certain table so that they may appear and work with the Warband system, but this also (as Cataph elucidated) causes an unintended side-effect, being OP garrisons for the Southern Realm.

I will endeavor to resolve these issues as long as people are subscribed. It is unclear how long these two fixes will take.

Thanks for your great works, I love this mod so much~ It seems this mod can run with Bagholder's Cross Race but when I play the faction of Southern Realms, I can't get my allies' army upgraded (such as the Bretonnian's knights) like the original factions do. Could you please update this mod? That'll be very helpful for the Southern Realms to against the Chaos LOL~ Best regards!

sorry to say this but until Last of the Romans can address it, I recommend against using this submod as is. It tosses all units shown in the upgrade tree in every other TEB faction's roster, making recruitable rosters and garrisons much larger than they should be, which screws over the intended mod design and balance.

From what I gathered this is unintended.

If you can edit the mod locally, open the mod in RPFM and delete the folder units_to_groupings_military_permissions_tables. You'll have holes in the upgrade trees but I expect they'll need to be redesigned anyway.

Thanks for the update, however this now crashes my game on startup. I'm also running Red's Estalia mod with the compatibility patch for Cataph's Southern Realms. Perhaps a clash with ether of those - will have to test.

I realized the missing units were only available to Radious and thus had to make a Radious only version

So, I played through with Estalia to turn ~80. I noticed a number of units missing. I think I will rework this if I can.

I don't know why but its not allowing me to upgrade, i click the unit to be upgraded and no upgrades show :/

@adstz had to call in LuminousClarity to solve the issue, but he was able to figure it out pretty quick. I can now confirm it to be working with Vanilla.


I also changed the resource costs to be custom because I didn't like how they were and moved the upgrades to the "MOD1" category to help with Radious compatibility.


@Iceobeasty if it gets a Radious or SFO submod, then I will certainly do Sigmar's Heirs. I can look into doing one for vanilla, but I do have a lot to work on already.

@adstz I just double-checked and I can confirm your issue. I'm looking into what could be causing it as it is still working with Radious.

I disabled all my mods except for Cataph's mod and Warband Ultimate to check whether some other mod causes this issue but it still persists. Am I missing something here? I understand you don't have any problems? Then it needs to be on my end somewhere

I think something is broken. Some of the units are simply not on the upgrade tree, especially missile infantry

I tried this with Bagholder's Cross Race upgrades and no, this mod is not compatible, other factions units, like Clan Angrund Dwarf units, cannot be upgraded while this mod is active an you play as a southern realms unit like the estalian factions.
