i'll say that if the blade of that scythe was red then for me the scythe would look more badass than if it was completely grey but that's just my opinion
Zukata is the knowledgeable one on this topic. My interpretation was that the Artemis Rod is soaked in blood and absorbs it in its transformation, as if drinking it in like a piece of wooden furniture being stained, or a metal pipe being galvanized or painted. It's part of the recipe, but not necessarily a primary material. By the same token you wouldn't say a stained piece of wood is made out of stainer.
I'm looking at the material and appearance of the scythe in the game
Because that scythe is made out of blood.
