there was a big problem trying to run this mod with filibuster rhymes acceptable guns demo mod. caused massive framerate issues, going from 300fps and 3s CPU/GPU time on 200% zoom in a west point parking lot full of zombies to 40fps and 24ms CPU/GPU time. something to do with the GPU waiting for CPU which went from 1-2ms to 23ms. i have no idea what causes this, it works well with all my other 90 installed mods.

Mod is great i just with the model was on the other side of the back so that when you equip melee items to the back it doesn't clip with the satchel.

Thanks for the mod.

@Regisnox, this mod's sandbox works on generated items, there is no issue with new game, but with the existing one, the result you got was the only possible one.
Regisnox Oct 25 @ 4:56am
It works! But settings are applied only to new dropped satchels.
Regisnox Oct 25 @ 4:05am
Figured one thing out. You need to enable it in single player MOD Menu to see Sandbox options in Server Settings. But changing size or reduction doesn't work on server. Now I can see sandbox settings and changed size and reduction for all satchels but when server starts I have default one.
Regisnox Oct 25 @ 3:06am
There is no sanbox options while loading the save and when I changed it manually in ini file it's not stick so the sizes are still unchanged and as well cannot craft them.
Regisnox Oct 25 @ 2:22am
how to make it work with existing save?
DragonOfWar  [author] Oct 23 @ 10:35am
@Germanchiller, you are ridiculous. Mod was made for my own playthrough for free and shared for free, why should I keep some other mods I don't use in mind? Moreover, you can use clothing mods just fine by deleteating clothing.xml from my mod. I am not willing to create new version just to delete that file, do it yourself.
Germanchiller Oct 22 @ 7:56am
Causes issues in a great amount of mods. Fix yo ♥♥♥♥ n remove the stock fannys from loot table instead of replacing it entirely breaking every clothing mod ever.

sucks, common sense is such a good mod. really wish some of it would become base game, thanks for the suggestion
Laaboo12 Sep 27 @ 8:22am
another discovery, after disabling the common sense mod i can right click and choose to wear satchels on front/back without any issue
Laaboo12 Sep 27 @ 5:43am
thank you, that would be awesome
DragonOfWar  [author] Sep 27 @ 5:25am
I really don't like working on mods for the constantly updating game, especially if I am not playing it anymore... but I will look into it should I have time this week.
Cyclo Sep 26 @ 4:56pm
really? Ill have to try it out thanks
Laaboo12 Sep 26 @ 1:51pm
i've discovered you can still equip satchels by just double clicking on them while they're in your main inventory
Laaboo12 Sep 26 @ 11:16am
same here, i crave the satchels:crying_yeti:
Cyclo Sep 25 @ 9:36pm
mod doesnt work after newest b42 update
DragonOfWar  [author] Sep 17 @ 4:10am
@Mantha, maybe I am not going to look into it or work on this mod till 42 full release, as I am not going to play without multiplayer. Playing and modding for 7 days to die nowadays, sorry.
Mantha Sep 16 @ 7:40pm
Seems to be incompatible with Vanilla Clothing Expansion. I have Better Satchels at the very bottom of my mod load order, and it still gets overwritten.

@HentaiHamster, will ruin other mod's changes though.
HentaiHamster Aug 4 @ 1:09pm
ahhh okay so ill load your mod last and it should overwrite the other mod right?
DragonOfWar  [author] Aug 4 @ 2:56am
@HentaiHamster, If there is no options, it means that game not using satchels from my mod, which means that something else modifying the same things as my mod.
HentaiHamster Aug 3 @ 6:34pm
i also have problem of front stachels not being able to be worn with other stuff. any ideas anyone?
DragonOfWar  [author] Jul 22 @ 11:28am
@Mainstorm, the items added will dissapear, all the front versions and tactical ones. But why even ask, better to have backup of your saves while using any mods... just in case.
Mainstorm Jul 22 @ 4:51am
Adding wont ruin your save but what about removing?
jackwd Jul 17 @ 4:35am
Amazing! thanks
DragonOfWar  [author] Jul 15 @ 2:13am
@Prosi, it is small enough change, guess I can return to update.
jackwd Jul 14 @ 10:00am
Hi do you plan do update it for the sheet sling bag ?
Rose Heart <3 Jun 29 @ 11:49pm
I call it better Satchel Rhymes with Grug
DragonOfWar  [author] Jun 19 @ 11:53am
@Aech, seems like some other mod messing with it...
Aech Jun 19 @ 7:39am
when i wear at the front, and try to put one in the back, it simple removes the front one. don't know how to use both sides
Aech Jun 18 @ 1:39pm
this is messing with customizable containers
Jet Jun 15 @ 6:12pm
"Adding this mod will not ruin your current playthrough, but there will not be any changes till you start a new game" this applies to all current satchels you own, or any in that same world that spawn after the mod is activated
DragonOfWar  [author] Jun 15 @ 4:46pm
@Jet, what are you talking about? Be more specific, pls.
Jet Jun 15 @ 12:09am
damn i cant use satchels with bags on my current save since it requires a new one. I will use the other satchel mod until then
pizon May 27 @ 11:31am
working on multiplayer
DragonOfWar  [author] May 27 @ 11:22am
Will rethink whenever I decide to make a new sandbox lua for the mod...
DragonOfWar  [author] May 27 @ 11:19am
@Cyrisa, "can" doesn't mean it will... Moreover, should I change it now for whatever reason, it will cause issues for ppl save files. You can change modID on your end for yourself. As I said it works, not gonna ruin hundreds of ppl gameplays for this.
Cyrisa May 27 @ 11:09am
It can cause loading issues and false errors bloating the log. If I were to port a mod list into a server the mismatch modID would also cause issues.
DragonOfWar  [author] May 27 @ 10:58am
@Cyrisa, It doesn't really matter...
Cyrisa May 27 @ 4:57am
Seems it shows this in the active mods text file. Even though it is working.

mod = \2965943353/BetterSatchelWithoutSandbox,
p6kocka May 19 @ 10:33pm
OK. Got it. It´s in the MOD menu. Thank you
p6kocka May 19 @ 9:07pm
Where is the version without sandbox please?
DragonOfWar  [author] May 19 @ 4:07pm
@p6kocka, most likely conflict with some other mod... but as I said before, I do not recommend to use sandbox version of this mod with Build42. Sometimes it works just fine, sometimes it doesn't. I may rework sandbox version for Build42 in the future though.
p6kocka May 19 @ 9:35am
I get this error:

marshmallow justice Mar 8 @ 6:55am
Ahh i see, I will save it for when my friends and I start on a fresh world then ! Looking forward to using it, just saw that line suggesting it wouldn't work in an existing world cus of how it changes satchels. Lovely mod regardless, so much flexibility!
DragonOfWar  [author] Mar 8 @ 6:50am
@marshmallow, not a dumb question, I don't play zomboid nowadays, but as far as I can remember, the game will reload lua upon using a saved game as if you are not using mod at all.
marshmallow justice Mar 8 @ 6:29am
"Adding this mod will not ruin your current playthrough, but there will not be any changes till you start a new game."

pardon being dumb, it means there's no retroactive change and adding it mid-save = no wearing satchel like this, just that it wont "break anything" by being enabled?
