made it for me.
First, there isn't an engine. It gets electrical power off of simulated third rail and overhead catenary (where applicable).
Second, The "engine noise" you are hearing is actually the air compressor (yes that is pretty much what they sound like in real life). If it is continually running you are moving the brake handle to release after the brakes have fully released. The handle will automatically return itself to the "Lap" position, allow it to do so.
Leaving the Brake Handle in release over charges the brake pipe and the compressor gets "confused" and will keep trying to pump/charge the reservoir.
This is also part of the simulation and a real occurrence that could happen with Non Self-Lapping Brake systems.
Hope that helps. Please double check the "reading material" above it might help you with any further issues.
Have a nice day, and ENJOY!
For the blimp you're making, you could make a couple paint variants, one being blank for custom advertisements!
I have a Blimp planned down the pipeline too!
While it would look and operate similarly to the Goodyear Blimp I'm thinking I might paint it in Carnivore's "STATUS RING" logo.
Yeah, there isn't a lot of beaches, and yeah they are mostly for fun (the hovercrafts)
thank you for responding, and I am truly looking forward to the SR.N4!
On another note, another request that you might consider, I think it would be interesting to see a good year blimp from you. Sorry for asking for things, but I really like your work, it would be cool to see it be used in various areas of expertise that you haven't covered yet.
great work!
Don't get me wrong though; I am glad the folks that make those monsters do! I admire the work, and it gives you an idea of the size of those behemoths. Having personally never seen one myself.
Now something smaller like a Coaster or a Bunkering ship, I agree completely with you. They are versatile and remain economic enough to operate.
As for making more, I have researched and begun construction on the SR.N4 Mk.1 'Princess Margaret' (it's barely a competed hulk at the moment).
My plan being to at some point complete the entire Sea Speed fleet (including the HM-2).
Sorry it's not a 8100 TD. Never say never, maybe some day.
As for both the SR.N4 and the 8100 they are both BIG, and due to the general lack of beaches ingame it makes them relatively ill suited for anything beyond "playing" with. Not unlike ocean liners or oil tankers.
Regardless, thanks for the comment and the idea!
I was wondering if you could make another hovercraft? You made really good ones and I think it would be interesting to see how you would tackle something like a 8100 td hovercraft.
think about it maybe, thank you for your cool stuff!
Yes, searching tags ingame would be a nice feature.
Thanks for the advice!
Look For PilotKyle
Hope you have a nice day regardless.
- Fixed Headlights swinging around and other small visual glitches
ENJOY!
Hope that helps.
As to the different colors in the cab, I have found some images where it appears the cab was painted a maroon, and others where indeed it was painted red. I decided on the maroon if only because (ingame) it tends to make it look "weird" or that I seemingly forgot to paint it :D
I have considered doing more Interurbans (especially third rail powered cars), but I have several other projects to finish/start first. Will see what happens down the road.
Thanks for the nice comment!
P.S. Speaking of Interurbans, you should consider upgrading yours from a few years ago, I LOVED them!
Dolphin, thanks for filling in and answering questions. My computer took a nose dive this week so I've been out of the game, pun intended.
Infinite electricity being on or off really doesn't effect much, but it does cut down on some of the weird noises if left off, infinite fuel has no effect.
I don't know how infinite electricity changes it, or even infinite fuel, so make sure to turn them off.
putting the uh-60 behind, maybe you could do another train? such as the chicago subway train
As for your request I'm never one to throw away a good idea; however, there are already some VERY good 60's available on the workshop and some in development, so I and reluctant to reinvent the wheel as it were. But, never say never, I'll throw your idea on the "pile".
Thanks for the nice comments!
PybroShark, thanks glad you like it!
I know the answer is probably no, but I was wondering if you'd be up to make a helicopter like the Sikorsky UH-60. It would be really interesting to see a vehicle such as that or others in your particular method of building. Think about it?
