I like needing more lights around your colony it gives the biome a unique hostile character. It's a personal preference so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Because there is no point in zero visibility. This does not complicate the gameplay and does not introduce a challenge, but simply makes everything damn uncomfortable.

I get the point of making it perpetual night so solar panels don't work, I don't see why you'd also make the biome brighter rather than leave that for a separate mod.

Night brightness of the original 0.01. Brightness of the night in mod 0.2. Vanilla night 0.5.

The mod removes the day from the biome, leaving only the night and making it brighter. That's clearer?
