Started playing with is mod almost immediatly and found a weird glitch with Reapers Blood. My colonist has an addiction to alcohol yet for some reason consuming Reapers Blood gives the high effect of alcohol without increasing the alcohol gauge. Making it so whenever my colonist regains consciousness they instantly go for another beer, attempting to fullfil their addiction. Is this some type of glitch. This colonist is now broken is bedridden 90% of the time.

@ProfileName Starsector is a game where you take command of a fleet and do a lot of stuff in a sector, stuff like exploring, pirating, trading, salvaging, invading, settling and mercenary work

This mod will get a 1.5 update at some point, I do plan on adding fermenting/brewing, and a proper cool looking crafting table.

cool art, cool items. But it just completely ignores the games fermenting/brewing system and they're just basic recipes at a bench. Kinda ruins it for me tbh because it makes the vanilla beer pointless and makes it all a bit too simple

slightly misleading, i was hoping for a mod that expanded drug addictions, such as relapses and abuse, i want nothing more than my alcoholic colonist to mercilessly beat his kids while hes completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lol

i am currently personally fixing some stuff with this mod for my own personal use, if i am feeling up to it i may ask to either update it with some of my fixes, or ask to post a seperate rebalance patch for those interested
if you want to fix it yourself there are a few things needing to be fixed:
->all armor penetration (and pain shock) needs to be 0.X instead of X, as 1 = 100% when it comes to that stat
->the healing needs removed or fixed as alone all it does is break the heduff and shortens the length of it to seconds at best (i simply commented it in my code in case there is a simple way to fix it in the future)
->severity and severityperday need adjusting for balance (i just defaulted them all to the same time until they are rebalanced properly(severity = 0.15, severityperday = .5 (7 hours, lasts 2 hours after alcohol warmth wears off to make it a bit more worth it)))
-ingredient cost may need adjusting for balance

I'm assuming the effects of the drinks are probably accidentally high, maybe a misplaced decimal. Or something.

I noticed that the drink effects are kinda high in some areas according to their in game stat page:
Phoenix Stout gives 3000% to melee armor penetration and pain shock threshold
Absynth gives 1000% to melee armor penetation
Askonia sunshine gives 1500% to melee armor penetation
Prometheus Gift gives 1500% pain shock threshold
Sweet freedom gives -3000% incoming damage multiplier and +4000% to pain shock threshold
Tears of Ludd gives 1000 to melee armor penetration
I can see that these effects are meant to happen according the mod page; are they supposed to be this high, or is this a problem? Because Sweet Freedom seems kinda busted with that damage reduction

@ProfileName, starsector is a great game in space with a simulated economy, where you can do lots of different things like ordering a saturation bombardment on a world inhabitat by trillions of people, becoming a pirate, be a space trucker, starting your own imperium.

Most effects are based on the effects they have in star sector we could not do a 1 to 1, and most of them are combat focused.
