(Of course if my testing proves incorrect, the effect can be hotfixed to be less taxing but for now I believe this should be good to go.)

As for the sliding trees, I know. That's why the effect trails instead. The way this effect functions does not allow it to decay and regrow. To my knowledge, there are other Valve made effects that work with moving taunts however those have been configured inside the game itself, not something we have access to. The tree being locked to the player was the best (and cleanest) option.

Good question. I did keep that in mind and did a stress test on Banana Bay at maximum settings. The particle count for the general ambiance of the tree is set to around 280 maximum (compared to other effects, this is low). Particle count is variable depending on the tree(s) that generate. I rendered Triumphant Tree around 9 times at once before the frames dipped (we are talking 50fps max settings). Serene Sakura and Dark Deadwood can manage roughly the same or a little more. Although keep in mind having 9 people emitting these specific unusual particles all at once on a single server is very unlikely outside of trade servers (which do have low framerates in general). For a reference point, I picked a decent looking high emitting effect from a previous update and loaded it 9 times as well and that dropped the frames to 50-60. I then chose a less involved effect and that dropped it to 70-80. Results may vary on PC's running older hardware though.

Eh, it’s decent. It’s not overly offensive and it looks a little weird with moving taunts cause the tree is just following you. Not sure how you could sort of ‘fix’ it really, nice job though

It looks cool but I am concerned on how many frames this would eat up the second it appears in game. What's the particle count on this thing?
