Thx Xevyr for the mod (wich I didn't yet used as U, in some post on Funcom server adressed my issue - https://forums.funcom.com/t/masterchef-journey-bug/225172 , so I was able to resolve it without using this mod; but I thank You for both, as the mod may be needed at some point of my journey anyway :) Have a nice day buddy :)

@mtthorncrl you seem to have omitted the space between the two words DataCmd or you can use the short version dc SPACE journeydebug, so "dc journeydebug" for example.

I'm having trouble with this
I have Admin granted, I am in the console screen (PC, Steam), (tilda selected), I have it loaded at the bottom of my load order.
When I type DataCmdJourneyDebug it says command not recognized

Thanks for making this mod that seems to work on every journey step so far.

One small thing to add as I am not seeing any mention in the comments, the Complete button does not complete the step while you are in Creative Mode.

That was it. When I downloaded the Workshop mod (my first time doing so), I must have Googled a half dozen pages looking for guidance on how to install the mod. They all said that all I needed to do was "Subscribe" and it would download and install automatically. Thanks very much for your help.

Probably the third one then. If you have no other mods installed, then there's a good chance you didn't know that it's not enough to subscribe to mods, you also need to manually enable them either in the launcher or the Mods menu ingame.

So go to your launcher and make sure you moved the mod to the right-side panel of enabled mods and it's not just sitting there in the available column on the left as those won't be loaded.

If that's still not it, feel free to join discord as it's faster to figure it out there as you can upload logs and whatnot.

I appreciate the troubleshooting list. Here is my status:

- they either forgot to turn on admin mode (this is the most common) - "Make Me Admin" checked and enabled.

- they are typing the command in the chat instead of the console - tilde key activates console bar at bottom of screen; "DataCmd JourneyDebug" typed into console bar, followed by the enter key. Console bar disappears but the JourneyDebug window does not open. I even Alt-Tabbed to ensure it wasn't opening in a separate window behind the game window (not sure how it's supposed to work).

- they don't actually have the mod properly loaded on their modlist - I have no other mods installed.

Please tell me where the user error is. I truly would like to know so I can get this to work.

Nah, when it doesn't work it's 100% of the time user-error.. There hasn't been a single instance where that wasn't the case.

There's usually 3 possibilities...
- they either forgot to turn on admin mode (this is the most common)
- they are typing the command in the chat instead of the console
- they don't actually have the mod properly loaded on their modlist.

Literally every single instance of someone claiming they use the command and nothing happens was one of the above situation.
(also, most people who have commented about that below usually ended up joining discord and having the issue solved by double-checking the above 3 things)

I can confirm that it does NOT work. Made myself an Admin, and typing the command in the console bar does nothing as of 12/31/2024 (just closes the console bar). Shame, because the Journey system is really bugged.

@DLKDeadGamer can confirm it actually works.
Go to Settings > Server Settings > Press 'Make me admin'. After that do the console command for this mod.

Yes, it's on your end... you need to be admin.
Idk why everybody always forgets to turn on admin mode for an ADMIN command :P but if you read further down, it's pretty much every second person.

sadly it seems it does not work for me.
Ive done "DataCmd JourneyDebug" and it doesn't seem to work. I hope its just on my end.

just in case someone makes the same mistake as me: you need to have ADMIN RIGHTS for this mod to work!
i forgot that and wondered why it did not work.
after i gave myself admin rights (i am playing solo) the mod worked perfectly.

Yeah I kinda figured this would be made one day, cus Journey's are bugged for some people, and I wonder if its a map thing. :(

It's not a chat command, it's a console command. You open the game console by pressing the ` key or the insert key

I've used this mod quite a bit in the past, but now isn't working either. Well, it is the first time i try and use it in the Isle of Siptah, so that might be the problem? I can't look more into it now but i'll try again later and let you know if i can figure it out.

There's a track button to make them active, basically you can only complete whichever step of whatever journey is selected, the one you can actively see on the small journey HUD element that tells you what your active task is.

Any chance you have a weird character name and maybe it's not typed in exactly as it is?
The mod works fine both in single player and on a dedicated server, so I'm not sure what the issue is.. are you getting a message about the character not existing or something?

The other thing I can think about is that you simply forgot to make the journey active. Funcom has a hard limitation that the only journeys that can be completed are the ones you marked as active in your journal, so it needs to be pre-seleted there before using the mod.

It Worked! Seems there is a limit to the length of the name or interference by AoC. I was wondering if all Cap letters had anything to do with it, but I had "BARBARELLA" and changed to "BELLA" , hit completed and advanced to next journey step. Before it kept saying it couldn't find the character.
In case I didn't mention it before, Thank You for this mod. And I actually use a few of your mods.
You fill a lot of needs . I am going to try the extra quick slot one with Hotbar Sizer. I didn't think it worked with controller until I read it again..
The Music Barrel updates you did are now musthave for me. Last Play through I had a half dozen Taverns. Though I'm noticing less customers when you make too many. The Ambiance audio is genius.
