pattern2_mongol.tga as well.
elvenjediknight Dec 26, 2024 @ 7:42pm
gfx\coats_of_arms\pattern_mongol.tga seems to have the transparency messed up... The top and bottom layers appear to be cut in half. Not sure how to fix it.
Sinctova Oct 17, 2023 @ 5:17am
Does this still work
dizzy12315 Jul 12, 2023 @ 4:16pm
Can you recreate the Komnenos dynasty shield using this mod
Dyanstious Mar 10, 2023 @ 6:57pm
isnt working
[+DG+] Sir_Castic Jan 30, 2022 @ 6:52pm
Nevermind, I'm dumb. Working as intended, the eagle comes from the 'Emblem" button, which I've somehow never had occasion to notice before now
[+DG+] Sir_Castic Jan 30, 2022 @ 6:51pm
seems to be an eagle superimposed over every graphic
Avangarda Nov 28, 2021 @ 6:32pm
is this going to ruin ongoing save?
ThatManLoto Oct 16, 2021 @ 9:04am
@ShamanMcLamie I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to answer my questions in a timely manner because I was going out of my mind trying to find these flags, once again thank you.

You can find a list of all the Dynasty Shield CoA's in this link.
https://ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Graphical_DLC

The order they appear in the link mostly corresponds with their order in the CoA Editor. The exception being the first one in each Dynasty Shield DLC. There is a bug where the first design doesn't appear. This is because in the image file the first design is marked as 0, but the Editor starts with 1 which is the second design in the file. I didn't fix the files because I was worried it would run afoul of mod rules. So I just took the first design of each DLC file and put them in a new separate file where they should appear near the end. This was af Bjälbo, Orsini, of Wessex, and Cerneu.

@GlacialWarlord Sorry for being late with this. Yeah when you described it I knew it instantly. That design belongs to de Comps. If memory serves the dynasty only has two members and they were both Grandmasters of the Knights Hospitaller and neither were playable without mods. And 257 the one with the crows is de Balben. I think they were also just Grandmasters of the Hospitallers as well.
ThatManLoto Sep 2, 2021 @ 10:06pm
@ShamanMcLamie if I remember correctly the 258 flag in a checkered eagle I think the background color is red and the eagle is black & white.
I can't remember the 257 or 259 flags tho 🤔 257 might be 3 crows on top of a white line.
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Aug 22, 2021 @ 10:00pm
@GlacialWarlord I honestly have no clue which CoA was 258? Can you describe what it looks like. Also telling me what 257 and 259 look like will help as well. Then I could probably tell you which CoA it is.
ThatManLoto Jul 17, 2021 @ 4:57pm
what dynasty is flag 258 named after
B4IHU Feb 14, 2021 @ 12:33am
is there an AGOT version? Would be nice to have these sigils and no use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ normal ones for my custom houses
Turtle-Gal Dec 10, 2020 @ 12:45pm
@Sofarluck I have all of them. I mean if you use the different split flags
Sofarluck Oct 19, 2020 @ 5:56am
it works fine but you need the dlcs
Oblivion Oct 3, 2020 @ 4:32am
Nah it works fine for me
Turtle-Gal Sep 12, 2020 @ 1:03pm
This needs to be updated. The emblems appear in the corner of the flags
Halley Jul 1, 2020 @ 9:07pm
This didn't work the way I hoped it would, but I also realise it wouldn't have mattered because of the way the game handles the dividing of the shields.
Fortunately there's still a use for it in my next playthrough though.

Anyway, there is a bug that causes the CoA-editor to crop emblems the wrong way so that you see fragments of the next emblem near the right border of the shield if you use the half top/bottom layout.
Oblivion Jun 26, 2020 @ 2:33pm
Always been a favorite of mine, awarded
Burnbizarre Mar 10, 2020 @ 7:31am
It's not working for me, i only have 158 designs
Manius Julius Prime Jan 7, 2020 @ 7:51pm
I know it is an odd thing, but can you create the Wilson Coat of Arms from York?
DeadRus GoodRus May 24, 2019 @ 12:06am
just provided some historical shields from DLC and they can not be customized.
i don't like it
Sarus Apr 28, 2019 @ 1:18pm
Some of the coat of arms ive made on playthroughs with this mod i wish i could make into a custom shield for titles and such T^T
RichardHuindil Apr 6, 2019 @ 3:12pm
What's the oldest version of CK2 this works with?
Fallsondoor Mar 31, 2019 @ 5:51am
nvm i didn't have Dynasty Shields Charlemagne
Fallsondoor Mar 31, 2019 @ 5:48am
319 to 359 show up as blank for me
Osariusz Feb 7, 2019 @ 12:14pm
Does it change the checksum?
Osariusz Feb 7, 2019 @ 12:13pm
Wow sounds incredibly!
Schtz.Cornelius Knox [3te PGD] Feb 5, 2019 @ 7:11am
does it have hellenic CoAs?
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Jan 16, 2019 @ 5:41pm
@Stealth Yes it adds the Muslim CoAs and adds in some of the custom designs that were glitched out.
Stealth Jan 4, 2019 @ 12:20pm
does this mod change/affect the muslim COA?
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Nov 21, 2018 @ 7:48pm
@tilly If I were them I would have replaced the old and now unused Dandolo COA in the Dynasty Shield Pack 2 with the new Mac Gilla Patraic design seeing as how they only added one.
tilly Nov 20, 2018 @ 12:50pm
weird, i redownloaded and it works fine now. was just the af bjalbo coa instead for some reason. maybe i messed up the installation somehow
Oblivion Nov 19, 2018 @ 9:25am
Still in my top 3 of my favorite steam workshop mods!
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Nov 19, 2018 @ 1:41am
@tilly Mac Gilla Patraic COA seems to be working fine on my end. Some of the designs might not appear in the editor after the game start do to bugs, but that one shouldn't be one of them.
tilly Nov 17, 2018 @ 12:18am
thanks for updating dude. i cant live without this mod anymore

fyi though, it appears to break the new unique fitzpatrick/mac gilla-patrick coa somehow. maybe because its the only new one paradox put in with holy fury, instead of a whole packs worth like they did with charlemagne

(seriously though paradox why just the one)
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Nov 15, 2018 @ 5:55am
So there is a weird bug where the the .mod file for this is created, but instead of being named coa editor expansion.mod it instead is coa editor expansion.mod.mod which is really weird and causing the mod not to work. I have no idea what is causing it.

To fix this bug go into Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod and rename the coa editor expansion.mod.mod and simply remove the extra mod making into coa editor expansion.mod

Sorry for the inconvenience and if anyone knows what is wrong and how to fix it the help would be greatly appreciated.
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Nov 13, 2018 @ 1:49am
@RFB Yeah I can take user_dir out. I think the only reason it is in there is it was a copy and paste from personal mods I make and I was just being lazy.
RFB Nov 13, 2018 @ 1:36am
Would you please remove the "userdir" from your mod? It is causing all sorts of difficulties for me, regarding my save files. The "userdir" command creates a folder for your mod, alright, but it also tells the game to take my save files there. I changed it manually, taking it out of your ".mod" file, but when you update, it will probably come back. Would you be so kind as to remove this in the next update? I'd very much appreciate it...
Rhaeven Nov 1, 2018 @ 2:25pm
Thanks for all of your work, I wish you all the best!
SootCoot Oct 29, 2018 @ 9:24pm
Also happy to hear you won the fight to cancer. *hugs*
SootCoot Oct 29, 2018 @ 9:22pm
1700 hours and I did not know that you can shift or ctrl to skip through the design patterns. Thank you so much!!!
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Oct 8, 2018 @ 8:25pm
For those who don't know I don't check on this mod much cause it should be fairly low maintenance and I usually wait till major DLC come out like the upcoming Holy Fury to check up and work on it. I'm hearing there might be issues right now so when I get the time I'll go digging in it. So if I go silent it doesn't mean I abandoned it, but you might not hear from me for a while. The only thing that will get me to abandon it is death which isn't farfetched after surviving cancer last year. I do want to get another person involved with the mod though. An extra hand might be able to fix it when I'm not available and if I die someone can keep it going. Really the hardest part of it all is just finding out what is wrong once you get that down fixing it is usually easy. Frankly it's often faster and easier to rebuild the whole thing from scratch.
ShamanMcLamie  [author] Oct 8, 2018 @ 8:21pm
For those of you wondering you will require all the Dynasty Shield packs to get it to properly work. Although while I haven't checked you might be able to use it still without all of them, but some Coat of Arms will probably be black, or gray as a result.

I don't play Multiplayer so I'm not sure how it would impact it. With that said it shouldn't cause any issues especially if both players have the Dynasty Shields and the Mod. What I do know is if someone doesn't have the Dynasty Shields dynasties with those shields tend to have black Coat of Arms so the other player might have the same effect.
Sel Und Irae Sep 18, 2018 @ 1:10pm
This mod is what i need
Shame i have literally every DLC except the shield packs
:ravenclan: T'was nice knowing you wallet
Kronk The Gluemuncher Sep 10, 2018 @ 1:43am
How does this mod function in multiplayer?
ordejon Sep 8, 2018 @ 7:50am
I only have customizattion DLC, the mod will work?
Eternantium Sep 2, 2018 @ 10:00am
For some reason the mod is still not working correctly for me. I'm checking to see if I have any incompatible ones turned on though
