Mostly just updates for LWYR and more traditions.
Barracuda Aug 25 @ 2:39am
Great work keeping the mod updated! Is there anything of note in the August 22nd and 24th updates?
Jacob141299 Aug 24 @ 7:03pm
Edit to my below comment, I mean the dejure territory in 867
Jacob141299 Aug 24 @ 6:51pm
Is it intended for the empire of Bulgaria in the mpe version to be north of the Danube only(kingdom of wallachia and Moldavia). Im not sure if something is wrong with my playset or not
cuckster Aug 24 @ 3:30pm
Been using this for a bit, but last night, it completely crashes every time I try to load it. I saw something download off workshop last night before it happened. Did a mod get updated and break something? I'm trying to troubleshoot this myself and getting nowhere.
ck3user7748 Aug 24 @ 7:25am
@cat_soup, you almost certainly cannot remove catholic trinity and expect the modlist to work as intended. Very minor and/or self-contained mods such as the recently-added event pack probably can be turned off with little or no ill effect.
Phouruz Aug 24 @ 4:30am
@ck3user7748 I think I've been having the same issues, thanks for finding the probable cause. Will try your fix.
ck3user7748 Aug 24 @ 1:52am
this week I had ctd's on loading games caused by agot-related traits in zzz_marriage_scripted_modifiers and zz_lmfmod_feast_events which I was able to stop by commenting our the related traits/sections. I don't know if others have experienced this.
Nilserrich Aug 23 @ 9:12am
My guess is that removing mods isn't a good idea either, since a lot of stuff gets patched. The changes in these patches might still be active, even though the original mods they're meant for are removed by you. This will probably cause similar problems in some situations, such as when adding mods. It really depends on the mod, and cuomo860 can probably give you a better, more detailed answer.

I think I've finally got the local mods working. I forgot to mention that I still have the mods folder on another hard drive and am working with a hard link. I definitely deserve Witchcraft as a character attribute for that. It certainly doesn't provide any additional stability on startup. But the mods are now loading and everything looks good ingame. I haven't had any crashes ingame yet.
cat_soup Aug 23 @ 3:24am
I have a similar problem to @Nilserrich, though my case is a bit different. I’m running the MPE/No MB+ playset locally, and while I know that adding extra mods makes crashes more likely, I’m wondering about the opposite scenario. If I selectively remove a handful of mods from the playset, for example, turning off the Catholic Trinity mod, would that also increase the chances of my game crashing?

Also, huge thanks for all the mods you’ve made and everything you’ve done for the CK3 community. I’ve been using your stuff for a long time, and after taking a year long break, I’m really looking forward to jumping back in and experiencing the game with all the great stuff you’ve added.
cuomo860  [author] Aug 22 @ 7:24am
It’s a recent thing but since it’s inconsistent it’s hard to track down. I can tell you it’s the same point because I know which point of the intro music it’s going to crash. If I had time I could probably figure out something to decrease/prevent it but I just don’t at the moment.

At least with local mod merged version I use, load times are under a minute so it’s not waiting forever.
Nilserrich Aug 22 @ 2:30am
I am also using a local version one update earlier. It's exactly as you describe. However, I haven't been able to get the latest one to run even once.

I can't get rid of the feeling that it's not the collection. CK3 is always a bit unstable.
cuomo860  [author] Aug 21 @ 3:17pm
I play an offline version of the MPE play set and there are occasional crashes on startup. It’s likely a graphical/memory issue but it always loads up just fine on the second try. I’ve noticed it since one of the windows updates.
Nilserrich Aug 21 @ 8:48am
Is anyone else experiencing crashes when starting the game with the MPE Playset?
Winter 'Eira Aug 19 @ 12:40pm
I know it says required but do I really need ethnicities and portraits expanded? I just use a different mod that doesn't work with it XD
Nilserrich Aug 19 @ 3:50am
Even after a long CK3 break, I'm happy to say that this project is still awesome. Thank you for doing this.

Are there any plans to include the very enjoyable mod Live of an Adventurer? The mod fills an opportunity missed by PDX to make the Adventurer meaningful as a ruler as well.
AltoidsMaximus Aug 18 @ 11:02pm
Hey, I stopped using MB+ because the game is basically unplayable with it, but even only using vanilla Gambo makes it incredible stutter. Any way to fix it?
holy shit i just stumbled upon the holy grail of ck3 mods i love you
ThisIsMerlin Aug 16 @ 5:10pm
perfect, thank you so much!
cuomo860  [author] Aug 16 @ 3:27pm
@ThisIsMerlin Easily MPE. It's what I use and what I use to determine balance.
ThisIsMerlin Aug 16 @ 3:18pm
Is there a playset you recommend/prefer/consider the most "authentic" experience for what you are intending? They each work properly on my end, and are all vast improvements over vanilla, but there are some notable differences between them and I would rather play the one you find to best capture the spirit of what you have put together for us. Thank you again for all the hard work
ck3user7748 Aug 14 @ 8:31am
This may have to do with wre_restoration.0001 being commented out
ck3user7748 Aug 14 @ 8:24am
disregard my remark about the HRE not existing, I just double-checked and it is around but very small. rows 86 and 92 are the only ones called out in the error log (script system errors)
ck3user7748 Aug 14 @ 8:21am
The decision itself, even if taken also appears to be bugged. The error log suggests line 86 in the roman scripted effects file may be at fault. In my playthrough the HRE does not exist, so perhaps the error is caused by that. I don't understand this well enough to suggest a fix.

Script system error! (while building tooltip/description)
Error: Event target link 'scope' returned an unset scope
Script location: file: common/scripted_effects/roman_decisions_scripted_effects.txt line: 86 (create_wre_scripted_effect)
file: common/decisions/roman_decisions.txt line: 92 (claim_wre_decision:effect)
ck3user7748 Aug 14 @ 8:01am
The reclaim the western roman empire decision is slightly bugged - the tooltip says Graeco-roman religion qualifies, but you cannot actually take the decision with the Roman pantheon faiths. By adding religion = religion:romanism_religion this problem can be solved. Alternatively, the tooltip could be revised to state that you must be Christian or Hellenic (not Christian or Graeco-Roman)

@cuomo860 Hi you may wish to include this as a temp mod for your MB+ JSON I happened across this exact crash during testing.

@Soyut Get Virtual Studio Code...it will make your life a lot easier. I can help...you can hit me up on discord Gambo187.

Hey @cuomo860, There are some mods that I would like to update to the current version of the game. Some of these mods have a.git file and I can't directly observe which file affects how it affects or the file structure. Can you give me some instructions on modding and updating mods? As a result of the car accident I had, I had a lot of free time. Normally, I compare files with Notepad++'s compare plugin.
cuomo860  [author] Aug 12 @ 5:56pm
In terms of the graphics, I think the April update was the COW3 changes? It was an issue before that. I’ve implemented a couple of things that MB+ added to improve map stutter but it’s just the cost of graphical mods. Perhaps the graphical updates in the upcoming DLC will help things.
cuomo860  [author] Aug 12 @ 5:51pm
75 is not abnormally old. I thought you were talking like 90-110 and they can be attributed to luck of the draw and other modifiers. Once you reach a certain threshold, when you start losing health you lose it quick especially with the new effect of elderly_health attributed to certain health traits.
ck3user7748 Aug 12 @ 4:48pm
I continue to observe abnormally old rulers having 5-6 health, e.g. at 75 years old in my play throughs (both on MB+ and more recently in a game on MPE set).
AltoidsMaximus Aug 12 @ 3:45pm
I tried everything and honestly, I don't know why it happens specifically to mine. I'm also using a 3070 RTX w/16GbVRAM, so maybe the issue is on 3070 RTX. The mod worked fine before but it went completely broke after the early April update.
Zorfing Aug 12 @ 9:43am
@AltoidsMAximus same for me, while RAM or VRAM are not overcharged, and CPU <10%. it's heaven noticeable in Main Menu. The only thing i notice that synchronously act with stuttering it's 3D processing of GPU. Any broken 3D asset ? else it's a very interesting compatch. (RAM: 32Gb, CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X 3D, GPU: 3070RTX w/ 8GbVRAM)
AltoidsMaximus Aug 11 @ 10:49pm
Maybe its a me problem, but when some of these mods are together I suffer a graphic stutter on the game when moving around in the map.
sokotofalcon Aug 11 @ 2:33pm
@cuomo860 there was indeed a message, seems like it auto-deleted. I do get factions as well, just way less than I should
cuomo860  [author] Aug 11 @ 5:47am
@sokotofalcon I thought there was a message on here about factions I was in the process of answering. But I do get different factions.MIV overwrites a the faction game rule for more stability but it’s something I can look into.
ck3user7748 Aug 10 @ 11:24pm
@Hex, empty save game folder. Also, make sure your mods are updtaing properly via steam. Occasionally deleting all mods and forcing steam to re download all solves problems.
cuomo860  [author] Aug 10 @ 11:45am
You can turn off those mods safely. They are not compatched at all.

I agree that those mods do have issues. ENFP appears to have been converted from either CK2 or a very early version of CK3 as a good portion of its coding is outdated and Hands has some messy coding. I’ve fixed those for my personal use but they are not part of the compatch.

For performance, there’s a few settings and rules you can tweak for less events but I’ve found that after the first few years things actually improve as the world settles into its constraints.
Meisterstratege für Arme Aug 10 @ 10:50am
The Eat, Pray, Slay mod currently also has some broken events
ck3user7748 Aug 10 @ 7:21am
a couple issues to report - there are broken events, I suspect from the ENFP mod but I'm not sure. Further, the hands off mod caused me to have a war with myself , which wasn't a huge problem, but all events I've seen also ahve localization errors and don't make much sense as presented. I suspect the mod is not functioning as intended still.
qwerty Aug 10 @ 6:13am
Neither of the JSON's work for me - both crash at start. I've checked all the mods order and DLCs. Any ideas?
AltoidsMaximus Aug 10 @ 12:17am
Any way to improve performance?
cuomo860  [author] Aug 9 @ 6:01pm
Not really because I often took parts of, or the inspiration of smalls mod that was no longer maintained then updated and tweaked them. A good example of this would be Unlanded Gold where most of the coding was tweaked and expanded on. Then there's mods like Dark Ages and the like where I only took some of their value settings in other files.
JvJ Aug 9 @ 5:38pm
Is there an actual complete list of all integrated mods? You add "and many more" at the end of the list in the description and the same in the "welcome to the super compatch.txt" file. Would be really helpful to have a list instead of posting in the "is this mod included" thread.
cuomo860  [author] Aug 9 @ 1:22am
Yep. Sorry.
ck3user7748 Aug 8 @ 11:18pm
I see Kei CAFG was removed from the JSON but the granularity compatch was not. I assume that's an oversight and we should disable/remove the compatch as well?
cuomo860  [author] Aug 8 @ 11:42am
Update:
Added ENFP's Event Packs, Eat Pray Slay, Dynasty Wars and Hands Off to JSONS.

Various Tweaks and Adjustments
cuomo860  [author] Aug 7 @ 5:48am
I recommend the MPE one, it’s by far the best tuned and what I play with.
colbangrantcandle Aug 6 @ 6:53pm
@cuomo860 What json file should I download?
