It seems not working for me. The city names are still displayed in a way which is the same as vanilla.

I think Rosetta's localized city names mod will be a problem for Chinese civ.

@Huanglukuzhu: Thanks for the comments. I’ll split Wuhan into Wuchang and Hanyang, and I’ll add Nongbo to the list. I think I will keep Shanghai around though. It’s too important of a modern city to ignore: but I’ll push it down the list so it’ll appear later like Shenzhen.

The real problem of this list is Wuhan(武汉), a name never showed up before modern era.
It's formally two cities called Whchang(武昌) and Hanyang(汉阳), and those two cities were both important cities in Chinese history, and have a very long history that can be dated back to Han dynasty.

@LouisOdin
Hangzhou is the original name of Lin'an.
Back in Tang dynasty, Hangzhou is already an important city in that area, and Bai Juyi (白居易) had posted many poems about it. In those poems, he called it Hangzhou, not Lin'an. Even in Song dynasty, when it get a new name of Lin'an, some people still call it Hangzhou like we see in "暖风熏得游人醉,直把杭州作汴州".
Shanghai got its name in Song dynasty, but it was only a town in that time, and when in Tang and before dynasties, it was a part of Suzhou (苏州), not a standalone city in that area, so we can just ignore it and change its name to some other city like Ningbo (宁波).

Actually Shanghai (上海) Should called Songjiang (松江) :bbtcat: and Hangzhou (杭州) maybe better called Lin'an(临安). Those are all old name of those cities like Chang'an for Xi'an

Always a thumb up to adding some realism to a civ game :happybs:
