So would it be correct to assume that water and electricity shut-off day values are set at the start of the game and cannot be changed after? It's just that I used the original "fine tune options" mod to set both to day 90 but it shows 0-6 months for both in the sandbox options window when I check it with the mid-game sandbox configuration.

Either way, good mod here. I'm going to use this from now on, wish I looked at the comment section of "fine tune options" earlier.

Click the link under "Compatibility" for a sandbox options mod. But I don't think the game lets you reassign the dates after you start playing. It's worth a shot though.

I haven't updated the images. The maximum is now the max value for a 32-bit integer. I made that update in June.

Technically, no, it will shut off at some point because the game intends to do that. You can however set it to shut off after the maximum integer possible, which will be after 2.1 billion days 🙃

Reverted code in files to fix mod not correctly getting sandbox variables

I fixed the issue. There is something not documented about "SandboxVars" and why it doesn't work client-side.

No, there is something wrong with the mod itself. I believe it is a hidden Lua error, but why exactly it's happening is beyond me

This is not working for me at all. I set both to instantly off in the sandbox settings and then 8 min 9 max on water and electric in the fine tuning section. When I start the game Ill have power and or water for some random amount of time that is more or less than the time set. I have cheat menu rebirth and necroforge installed, do you think those are causing problems? I have a ton of mods, I'm not sure what else might be interfering.

Unfortunately I also seem to be encountering a similar issue. I had water set to shut off between day 15-30. It shut off on day 4.

Hey, I'm also having issues with this mod, I had several saves shut off at a month (30 days) after the start, no matter what values I set. Tested initially with 300 days (minimum shutoff) and 330 (maximum) and then the max values. I don't know how to collect more information to provide other than just mentioning I'm having a problem.

After testing real quick got this, first try with mod set to 0 both minimum and maximum while original world options set 6-12 months, the world still had energy fast forwarded to 3 days and still with both energy and water then second try with the opposite instant in original options and 180 min and 360 maximun for the mod, played for 3 days and still had both energy and water, hope the info works somehow

"Craftable Sledgehammer" can't be the issue, nor any map mods. Test the mod by setting the minimuma and maximums to zero, and setting the original settings to 6-12 months. Then do the opposite by setting the minimum to 180 days and maximums to 360 days, and setting the originals to instant. If the game does not behave correctly, then I will have to take another look at the code.

Even after unistalling and unsubscribing from the ten years later mod and then in the middle of another playthrough the power went out at day 6 hmmm so it may bethe "craftable sledgehammer" mod? ehh idk, yesterday I added that new map with the boat but I doubt it affect anything about the fine tuned options

Greetings today tried a new run I usually set water and energy to go off by day 15 but both went off by day 3 and 4, tried another run and water ran off in day 7, is the mod having any issues? or is there a chance that it may be conflicting with another mod? the last couple mods Im added lately were 10 years later and craftable sledgehammers if that have to do with something with this

Increased integer maximums to 32 bits (2.1 billion days)
Adjusted grammar in English tooltip

I also double-checked multiplayer compatibility - it doesn't work. You'll have to roll a random integer yourself and input it into your server options.

Regarding Two Pack the Wrapper's comment below i would also agree to raise the day count up abit, i've added 4 or 5 modded maps to my solo world and i want to take times in each town/city and i can't stand playing in utter darkness ( cat eye trait still isn't enough for me and flash light limited my gun play )

Try testing the mod to see if it works in multiplayer, by setting the min and max to zero. If it works, then feel free to use it.

You state that this would not be needed for multiplayer as the shutoff times can be set for the server. This may be the case, however I would really like a mod that makes the multiplayer server shutoff time random like you can do in single player. So the ability to set a minimum number of days passed and a maximum for each utility. That way even the server admin/hosting player would not know when it was going to happen exactly. I assume this mod could not be used to do such a thing?

Yeah, I could set it higher, but playing a game beyond 3 years does not seem to be a good choice. I have yet to determine what would be a good max value (32-bit integer or something else)

This might sound dumb, but I only can set the max to 999 days, which is just shy of three years. Is there any way to make that longer? I know MP can be set for like 20 years or so?

Generator spawns and annotated map spawns too. Even on "Extremely rare" generators are still way too easy to find, same with annotated maps. To digress, annotated maps have been pretty much ruined since the addition of Louisville because now 80% of them spawn as Louisville maps, and if you aren't playing Louisville, chances are you'll never go there in a run unless you make it a point to.
